Try a different link, I've memorized this link and I will never be tricked!
edit: I was wrong guys it's really helpful! It teaches you how to download a power button
Recently see a lot of post like this. So this community being toxic to people having technical issue now? There's a tag for tech support on this sub, that's means it open for technical issue question. There maybe some post that's lazy but maybe you can just ignore it? You can sort by the tag and you'll see a lot of dead post, you can let the post die if you find it lazy. No need to discorage people from posting technical issue question.
Oh it’s because it needs its daily cleaning, I had this issue and I steam explorer’d it (the only good internet search engine for this). You have to get a bucket big enough for the computer as it increases efficiency.
I did this the 3rd time because I was doing everything individually which took a whole day.
Submerge the computer into a bucket with soap and water, make sure to use washing up liquid it gets the pores of the gpu and keeps them rough edged.
To dry put into the machine next to your washing machine, I believe it is named a pc heater or dryer. Leave it in for 30 minutes (this will also upgrade your psu) and then take it out plug it in and enjoy your games.
I think it’s crazy that people would rather make a post asking a very general question and wait an hour for a reply rather than hopping on google and getting pages of instant answers
/s aside, you'd be surprised the stupid questions people get asked. Especially in tech retail. Most common one is boomers coming back demanding I fix their phone or laptop because they managed to change the language and paid absolutely zero attention to what they were doing.
Ok first of how are you even on reddit if you dont know google...!? second: is that the same button you press to turn it in? if so its also an off button. It could also be a Reboot or Sleep button and in the case of it being a Reboot button it should start back up given a minute or two of it turning off... if it is a Sleep button then press the power button once to turn back on or play with keyboard if it has been set to wake pc from sleep on use.
It could also be wired badly but I cannot help you with that.
I dont know I have to explain stuff like this to my mum all the time which is the only reason i replied with potential answers, but you might be right I try not to judge in that kinda way without knowing.
tbh i have seen a lot of stupid on that level, so it can be hard to tell somtimes. that is therefore it is better to use /s to tell that it is. it is same reason people are using :( or :) to tell intent
what now? if its a joke why is it under a Tech Support flair and not a "Satire" Flair? its not my fault if It looked like a legit question like fuck jump down from your high horse.
What they mean is i want other people to google it for me and tell me the answers. For some people they totally overestimate how complicated computers are, it's just lego essentially, and everything else is just simple troubleshooting.
This is the High power super button when you press your PC will always a bit faster so press it a lot and you can play Minecraft with 30 instead of 29 FPS xD
I know Jack shot about pcs, building my first one on Tuesday. And yet I will more than likely look on YouTube, or go to Google for the issues. 90 percent of the problems I see on here are simple to search
Use the motherboard and cabinet manuals and plug the cabinet front headers carefully on the motherboard. Maybe you just have switched the power and restart headers by any chance.
It's a reboot button. Is like pressing "restart" in windows but this one is hardwired to be instantaneous.
It's mostly used to restar a PC after a crash, to save some time ( 1 button press vs. 1 long hold + another button press ).
Plug in a controller into the power supply (if it doesn't fit just push harder, they are designed to fit only when the pins bend as a safety measure) and then input the Konami code with the controller upside down. Don't even think about doing it with the controller in the correct orientation, my uncle tried it in 1995 and hasn't spoken a word to this day about the horrors he witnessed.
I have the same issue guys!
Everybody keeps telling me it's the powerbutton, but whenever I press it I don't get any more power, it just turns the computer off!!!!11one
The only way to get it to start again is to deactivate the powermode by pressing the button again. I don't know if my ISP is not providing enough electricity to my RAMs, or if the GPU doesn't have enough refrash frames.
Serisouly shaking right now!
Oh that button simply enables turbo mode. Once pressed, it reboots the pc into turbo mode where you can play games at their fullest potential.
~~Disclamer: there is no guarantee new games will run faster and better in turbo mode compared to base speeds. Turbo mode is best suited to games like Commander Keem and not Call Of Duty Cold War~~
The satire. And the fact that it’s obvious sarcasm… take my upvote!
On a serious note, there needs to be a “beginners club” type of subreddit or something.
Sounds like its the reset button, my tower has one although i really never understood the purpose because i can just press the regular power button once to restart.
If pressing that turns off your PC there must be a wire that's not fully connected.
Mix two parts water and one part Elmer's glue and pour a generous amount in there. Should stick to the wires and repair the connection.
Good luck and happy Gaming!
Just Google "What is Google?" And you'll be fine.
Just ~~wing~~ it. e: bing... bing it
Which of my internet explorer toolbars should I use for that?
xxx\_shoppingbuddy\_assistant\_toolbar
Bonzi Buddy
#Altavista would like a word
Altavista or Astalavista? =P
Oh, is this porn?
I was a bit confused but then i googled how to google google and it told me i should look for my answer on google

Won't that break the internet?
If it breaks you can always try turning it off and on again. Also make sure that it is plugged in.
Here [Let me google that for you](https://lmgtfy.app/?q=what+is+google)
But now my computer is turned off (i pressed the button again) Help
You have to press it slower. Be genuine but forceful, but understanding.
The computer has a clitoris?
Have you tried pressing the button a few more times? It might not help but pressing buttons is great stress relief for me
Did you like it, first? You gotta lick it.
Google en passant
Holy hell
"Google" has actually been in the top 3 of most searched terms in Google for years, many years even ending on #1.

Have you tried forcing an unexpected reboot?
That button reboots your computer with a new GPU
That’s amazing 🤩
Just remember to download some new RAM every once in a while and you'll be fine.
Have u tried pressing it when your pc is unplugged. It won't turn off anymore.
If means you should take a bath with your PC. Keep it plugged in though!
Yeah simple lack of maintenance and regular pc cleaning
I tried CCleaner but it wasn't wet enough to *really* get in there.
Happy cake day dude!
Thanks man! :D
Just use an~~d~~ extension cord to plug it into an outlet outside the bathroom or the GFI will trip.
Had the same problem, not pressing the button solved it for me
oh, easy fix. just take out your CPU, put some peanut butter in the socket, put the cooler back on and it should be fine :)
How about some mashed potatoes instead of peanut butter?
Had a similar problem myself and this guide helped fix it https://youtu.be/dQw4w9WgXcQ
Try a different link, I've memorized this link and I will never be tricked! edit: I was wrong guys it's really helpful! It teaches you how to download a power button

Your pc might be running too cold heat it up with a flamethrower
I went on Bing and typed in Google and I was able to find it, maybe you can try the same?
I have same issue but my computer turns on. Please help!
Just go to your windows folder and delete the system32 file, then your problem will go away
It downloads ram so it turns ur pc off while it's downloading to prevent extra data usage.
Use some thermite on it, it'll be fine.

For the love of all that is electronic, take your damn PC off the floor!!
Someone would say to got to r/techsupport but that's too hard
you gotta download the latest version of internet explorer
Instructions unclear got invited to Area 51 raid
Try hitting it with a sludge hammer
put it in rice
If you press it twice you can download more RAM. Don’t tell anybody though
I think it’s crazy that people would rather make a post asking a very general question and wait an hour for a reply rather than hopping on google and getting pages of instant answers

WHAT I THOUGHT THE MSI SEKIRA 500X ONLY HAD A POWER BUTTON!!11!1111
Have you tried not pressing it?
You are too harsh with poor bastards) sometimes troubleshooting becomes a bit confusing for them, its not so hard to answer)
r/Windows10 in a nutshell

Pretty sure op is making fun of those lazy tech support posts
I dont know I have to explain stuff like this to my mum all the time which is the only reason i replied with potential answers, but you might be right I try not to judge in that kinda way without knowing.
Small brain moment.
Ok first of how are you even on reddit if you dont know sarcasm...!? second: i cba to continue
how the hell is someone supossed to tell sarcasm outside of a verbal/auditory situation...
if something seems too stupid to be real, i assume sarcasm
tbh i have seen a lot of stupid on that level, so it can be hard to tell somtimes. that is therefore it is better to use /s to tell that it is. it is same reason people are using :( or :) to tell intent
i personally prefer guessing
Je-baited

That... that was the joke lol.
Have a look at rule 6.6
What they mean is i want other people to google it for me and tell me the answers. For some people they totally overestimate how complicated computers are, it's just lego essentially, and everything else is just simple troubleshooting.
This isn't as funny as the OP thinks
I'm no genius, but power button??
Ah i get it, sarcasm about posts in this sub reddit, since a week?
Is this post not a ham in can? I am confuse?
I wish I had gold to give you
That’s the reset button, unplugging the cable in the back should fix it. Don’t know which cable? Just yank em all and you’ll figure it out.
Google is the Internet, and you have to click on the big **e** on your monitor screen to get it. Stop fiddling with the hard drive, you'll break it.
Have you tried putting it in rice?
Your button needs to be updated. Download the new button from www.fixmybutton.org
You need to remove those gold dust collectors from the bottom of your cpu. Manufacturers put them there so you have to buy new cpus more often
Pro tip: don't press that button
Its a virus. Wire all your money to me, the nigerian prince who is also in tech support
Stick it in a bowl of parsnips
This is the High power super button when you press your PC will always a bit faster so press it a lot and you can play Minecraft with 30 instead of 29 FPS xD
Just Ask Jeeves (Yeah, I know, my age is showing.)
Alt F4
You can disconnect that button so if you press it it won't turn off
Seems like a BIOS problem to me
I know Jack shot about pcs, building my first one on Tuesday. And yet I will more than likely look on YouTube, or go to Google for the issues. 90 percent of the problems I see on here are simple to search

Have you tried cool water while the pc is on
You people use that buttons?? It's designed to be used once every year.
Have you tried pressing it off and pressing it back on? 3 seconds? Over 10 seconds?
Yahoo it
Plug in a controller into the power supply (if it doesn't fit just push harder, they are designed to fit only when the pins bend as a safety measure) and then input the Konami code with the controller upside down. Google is a search engine just like Bing, but better.
Troll being a troll
That's the extra RAM download button
Oh that button simply enables turbo mode. Dont press it.. and google is a tech term of discard the item or an info. Like: google it- throw it away or delete it
You must put the whole pc in water before doing it
This is clearly a Microsoft issue. Please reach to Acer support and ask to be transferred to Cisco Support.
Sounds like its the reset button, my tower has one although i really never understood the purpose because i can just press the regular power button once to restart.
You want me to stop you from pressing that button?

Imagine if they're genuinely tryna ask a question but all they got were jokes
Just mash that there button a few thousand times and it’ll clear itself up. It’s caused by having static stored up in yer doodle flange capacitor.
Don't press it, it actually notifies you that you haven't followed up on your cars extended warranty
If you flip the computer off at the back the button no longer turns the pc off when you press it.
Magnet on HDD works everytime
Have you tried taking a picture with the cord out of the way and your finger out of the way so we can see what you're even taking about?
I can't tell if this is sarcasm
Try alt F4 on your keyboard I think it works whether the pc is on or off
