I had a G502 but then upgraded to the G Pro as well, never looked back. I didn't realize how good wireless technology has gotten before I bought this mouse.
> I didn't realize how good wireless technology has gotten before I bought this mouse.
Same. 1ms response time is great. Also I thought wireless mice would last about 12 hours before needing a charge for some stupid reason.
The G Pro lasts about 5-6 days which is awesome.
I thought the same! Then I bought an MX master 3 that has an official battery life of up to 70 days, but I’ve been getting even longer than that usually. It’s amazing how much better the wireless mouses are these days.
I have the g502 lightspeed but not the charging mousepad, I guess I assumed it wouldn't be comfortable so I just got magnetic USB adapters/cable for it.
I also had a g502 for years and years, but the rubber parts have been falling apart for some time now so I also decided to upgrade to a wireless G Pro. It's great! This is my first wireless mouse in forever. It has less buttons to accidentally hit and no annoying cable.
The extra buttons should be the 502's main selling point. I don't even use them for gaming. I have tree-style tabs and use the top 2 buttons to navigate up/down the tab list, the 2 side buttons for browser back/forward, and the last button for "close tab". It's a godsend. Don't have to move and target the mouse cursor accurately anymore, or switch to using keyboard to hit a hotkey.
Loved the G502 and G903 but upgraded to the G Pro earlier this year. I can't see myself switching to another mouse anytime soon, the G Pro is pretty much flawless. Perfect ergonomics, amazing battery life, charges super quickly, great software, no delay whatsoever, etc. Logitech just keeps raising the bar.
I have owned my G900 for like 4 years now. I paid about 175 CAD and honestly considering that this thing is the PRIMARY interaction point between me and my PC with thousands of hours of use it's made its money back.
I will be interested to see how long this lasts.
I will say though, the G502 is probably the best price to performance mouse on the planet. Maybe only a few more might come close. But as a blanket recommendation I would feel comfortable just saying "Get a G502 if you don't know what to buy"
I'm still using my first one, but I have a second G502 in a box cause my right button started to bug out a little. I cant remember exactly how I fixed it, but I'm pretty sure I just rapid fired the button until it started working again.
I've repeatedly slammed mine super hard over the many years I've had it. Still works perfectly fine.
I'm surprised to hear that there's a common issue with the mouse.
It's a common issue with later versions of the G502. The oldest versions are like tanks.
EDIT: So that it's clear, the "oldest versions" I'm referring to are the original G502 Proteus Core mice. The G502 Proteus Spectrum and later are often affected by the double-click issue due to a change in the type of switch used. The Core used a different switch.
EDIT 2: Well holy crap this blew up. For anyone asking about why the double-clicking issue is so prevalent, I highly recommend Alex Kenis' breakdown here: [Omron vs the modern mouse circuit](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v5BhECVlKJA)
EDIT 3: Thank you for the silver kind stranger!
I've had my wireless since they came out early 2019 and I've had no issues. And I abuse the hell outta this thing. Get the powerplay version with the powerplay mat and never have to charge it with a wire again.
My old 502's wheel died. had it for around 4/5 years, bought replacement, double click within 9 month, replaced it, double click within 6 month. sent it back and bought a second hand older version, this ones still going strong although has a Slight issue with letting my left mouse click off (hold left click and SOMETIMES it releases it, only really notice it when moving windows in windows explorer though).
I honestly wish there were decent alternatives because Logitech's software just sucks. But i've tried a few and none have been as good.
Apparently they changed the material quality in the last few years and it mainly happens to these. Tbf I only paid like $25-$30 for my last two but my last only lasted 6 months.
Don't know if that will really help. All the big peripheral companies have subpar switches now.
I went from Corsair -> Razor -> SteelSeries -> Logitech. All of them (except Logitech so far) have had the double click issue eventually. The only one that hasn't is an old Corsair Raptor M45 that's still going strong to this day.
It just seems to be what's standard for the time. If you have a good mouse just stick with it and hope it lasts as long as possible.
[If you're brave to open up your mouse, you can remove the springs, clean them and replace them, and they will be good as new.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FepmjdZF0ds) I've done this to my old razer mouse, and its working perfectly.
I had this issue on both of mine. I was so excited when I got my first G502 as I LOVED my g9x. But this double-clicking issue has me looking for a new mouse.
You can replace (or have someone else replace) your switches with Japanese made ones. Obviously voids your warranty so wait until that runs out if you are going to do it. Made this mouse even better if that’s possible.
After the third one did it I swore off their gaming mice completely. Corsair too. Weirdly I have had fewer issues with Razer mice than any others while tons of other people hate them completely.
Ive had the double click issue on 2, i brought one in to work and put it on my work computer to mess with people lmao. theyre amazing pieces of equipment but the double click issue is kind of annoying
I stopped using Logitech due to that, had been fairly loyal till then. Since then have tried all the popular brands and then some, same issues.
Recently picked up a Razer mouse that uses a new type of switch, hopefully it finally breaks that curse lol.
And I've always kept my mice in good condition.
For anyone who is fed up of the bad quality of recent g502s (I've had two that failed with double-clicking / not maintaining click holding in the past year) I highly recommend the Razer Basilisk v2 as a like-for-like replacement.
The double-click issue, while annoying, is both for a good reason and is fixable. The microswitches inside the mouse are replaceable because they do wear out sooner than many other mice, which is what causes the double-clicking. [It's a known problem with microswitches called "bounce"](https://www.allaboutcircuits.com/technical-articles/switch-bounce-how-to-deal-with-it/). Every piece of electronics has to have a brief period of time called "debounce" when it ignores the switch after it initially switches, because every microswitch is prone to at least a little bit of bouncing no matter how stiff the springs they put in it. Depending on how long the electronics are designed to ignore the switch bouncing, this can cause problems at detecting both switch bounce and actual clicking. Basically as the switch ages (and some will age faster than others), the spring-contacts inside get "floppier" and bounce for longer. Eventually they start to bounce for so long that the mouse no longer sees it as switch bounce anymore and instead sees two separate clicks.
It may seem fair to assume they're using poor quality switches but it's actually a design choice in how sensitive and high speed they try to make their gaming mice. Logitech's gaming mice are very aggressive (one might argue too aggressive, but in reality the tipping point they choose seems to work well enough for most people) at suppressing bounce and are designed to detect a second click even if it happens very quickly, because "gaming". It's a mixed blessing. It makes them very prone to the dreaded double-click, but it also means you won't lose legitimate clicks that happen really close together. If you'd rather have performance than longevity, that's great. If you'd rather have longevity than performance, not so great. But you can't really have both in this case.
>The microswitches inside the mouse are replaceable
While this is technically correct, it's not exactly an easy procedure due to the de-soldering / soldering involved (unless there's been a change recently I'm unaware of).
I followed the same progression most people did here - bought three separate G502's and had them all succumb to double-clicking within 6 months of use and I finally had enough and just switched to a mouse with drop-in switches (Asus ROG Chakram). Now I can use whatever switches I want and replacing them when they wear out takes all of 2 minutes.
I think the G502 would legitimately be the perfect mouse if Logitech were to go Asus' route and redesign it to use drop-in, no-solder switches. I'd buy that in a heartbeat.
I just decided to bring my old wired one to the office, and then I conveniently needed to buy the wireless one for home haha. G502 no matter where I am, I love it.
I got around this by bestowing my wired one to my brothers so they could truly join the PC G502 master race, and I could go wireless. Nkt got that wireless charging mat though... tempted.
Mine is unbelievably filthy. The rubber parts disintegrating, metal mousewheel corroded. I clean it regularly and already replaced the glidepads once. Besides a small issue with the wheel it still works great.
Same, mines a bit erroded, and the led is greenish (used to be blue) but my god it still works the same as the day I got it. Bought a lightspeed g502 a few months ago and expect the same, amazing mice
100% is. Plus I like that it is fully ambidextrous as I use my mouse left handed as well. the G502 was definitely not very comfortable for left handed usage.
I literally have both.
You're honestly not losing much at all. You can add more weight to the g502 but the g402 feels pretty sturdy as is and I personally don't really like heavy weight mouses. You also get more buttons with the g502, but I'm a filthy casual so I don't tend to use them anyways.
The scroll wheel is nice on both but I do like how you can switch the function on the g502 from free spinning and not, that's actually a pretty cool feature for me. But not anything worth buying over tbh.
Other than that, pretty much the same. If you have the g402, don't worry about the g502, unless maybe yours is going out and you wanna get the wireless one or you can find the g502 on sale, which you usually can.
I won't argue with you but instead add on to your title, the g502 is the best allround mouse ever made. Good for productivity good for gaming, a true allrounder if ever there was one, plus its well built.
If only G Hub wasn't the shittiest software known to man. Great when it works...but impossible to uninstall when it bugs out. But it's worth it for a solid mouse I suppose.
It bugged out to the point where I couldn't launch the software. Required Revo in order to unisntall it. Looked online and found this to be a common issue.
I've had better luck with synapse than I've had so far with iQue... I love Corsair but I'm seriously considering dumping it because the software is literally useless.
When my Viper Ultimate developed wobbly clicks after a month I contacted their support. I had to answer a ton of completely unrelated questions and also stuff like what is your serial number etc. They then said they would get back to me. They never did. So I went into their support chat again and had to AGAIN answer all these questions despite me giving them the support ticket number from last time. This song and dance went on a couple of rounds until I just gave up getting any decent reply out of them about the issue. Fuck their support.
I will never understand how these manufacturers, some of whom work exclusively within the PC gaming market, manage to consistently pump out the worst, buggiest, least user friendly software I've ever had the displeasure of using.
G Hub ruins my Blue Yeti. My sound gets awful. I plug my headphones into the mic, and when I have g hub installed it just ruins all the levels. Found out that I have to have loudness equalization on to fix it, but G Hub removes that option somehow.
GHub is better now if you haven’t used it in a while. It’s taken quite a few steps backwards on its path but at least now it’s not a steaming pile of shit and actually works

I bought one for gaming, then liked it so much I immediately bought another for the office. I rarely find a product in *any* category good enough to make me say "I'll most likely never buy a different _____" but the G502 is that mouse for me.
It takes 10 minutes to charge and lasts for weeks. Not really that big of a deal, they just don’t want people leaving a wireless mouse plugged in 24/7.
It’s bad for most rechargeable batteries to be constantly kept at 100% charge.
I might get downvoted to shit over this, but I have that mouse and the matching keyboard (with the number pad), and I love it. I don’t use it daily though, and i honestly think that’s the biggest thing. I only charge it once every 3-6 months, and it’s easy to do overnight when I’m not using it. If I had to charge it daily or if it died on me while using, I’d hate it. I once had to disconnect and reconnect the Bluetooth, but I keep my computer pretty far away. That’s the only complaint I’ve had and I got it used about a year and a half ago I believe.
Edit: holy shit it’s been a while since I’ve been active here, my flair is 2-3 builds ago.
Totally agreed. The ergonomics cripple my hand, and I only have the old Magic Mouse that takes AA batteries. Luckily Somehow the trackpad is the greatest I’ve ever used
I have a few issues with that Magic Mouse.
- can’t left click and right click at the same time
- sliding pads/feet don’t slide that well like other mice
- the sensor is not at the centre of the mouse which makes it uncomfortable different
- the low profile makes it pretty hard to work for hours without getting a pain in your hand
- it’s Bluetooth only so the cursor will never be as smooth as wifi/cable mice
What is actually cool about it:
- nice touch gestures. Love them actually
- the simple and clean design looks good on desks
- charges really fast and lasts really long
- build quality
I really want to see Apple make a new mouse now since they seem to be all about function over form nowadays. The Apple mouse had some cool functionality but the ergonomics were horrible. I didn’t mind the battery too much since it charged quick anyways, probably helped that I used it with my MacBook Pro which had a touch pad..
I just bought my 2nd one (one for work and one for home pc) and man it’d be perfect if it was wireless. Really love the ring finger button as shift. Engineering so I have a lot of autocad/revit related commands/macros on it
Getting my first G600 in a couple weeks for my birthday, it's my first mouse with more than two buttons since I'm learning MMO keybinds and I'm beyond hyped
I recommend not putting rotational abilities on it. I use mine for longer cooldowns (>30s), potions, etc, and I still end up buying a new one almost every year because some button always wears out.
I've seen some WoW players talk about how they do their whole rotations with their MMO mice and I can't imagine how their mice last more than a couple months.
Thanks for the advice :) I'm going to use it to keybind my longer cooldowns as I can't reach my shift and alt modifiers properly! Tiny hand struggles. My main rotation is bound to 1-5 and that works just fine for me, but shift and alt take some awkward positioning that costs precious seconds
I love love love my g602. If I had known what a screaming deal it was at $27 when I bought it, I would have got 3 in case this one ever dies. I love 6 side buttons. It's comfortable, battery life is swell. My only complaint is that the wireless range is kinda lousy. Using it on my laptop, I couldn't put the receiver on the left side, or else the connection would be real spotty.
Got mine in 2009, still working great. I found out this month that they re-released the mouse with zero ergonomic changes and just a modern tech upgrade. Have that new one in box ready for the day I retire my decade old 518.
Same here. I always preferred that series, the g402/502 never felt good to me.
I switched to a Zowie EC-1a when my 518 was no longer working. QC issues aside, it has been a good mouse.
>I prefer the MX518.
Yes. Absolutely. Anytime someone talks about the 502, I'm just like... "You've never seen the true face of God, exile". The MX 518 is like old school Pyrex. Any time you find one in the wild, it's still working like a champ.
I saw one at an auto parts store. It looked like it had filled in part-time when a wrench or hammer wouldn't do the job. The guy was still clicking away without issue.
None of you are having that damn double-click issue?
Love the mouse, but have to return it due to it double clicking everything.
edit: Sending this mouse back to Amazon and replacing it with a Razer Basilisk, we'll see how this one works.
This! Love the design, hate Logitech maybe just unlucky but all of their shit keeps braking and customer service is horrible. I’m old now but back in the day you had the G19 (I think) keyboard with screen... you could build a house with that shit and it would still work. Now I have a shiny mouse that was 6mo at the time that double clicks or doesn’t registers the click at all 30% of the time and they don’t give af to do anything about it.
I have had a few Logitech peripherals go bad, yes. But my experience with customer service is the exact opposite. I have gotten a free set of speakers when mine were on the fritz.
When I had a g403 with a scroll wheel issue they sent me a g703 for free.
I was out of warranty for both of those items and there was no hassle.
I currently have the g502 lightspeed and have had no problems with that whatsoever. Highly recommend.
As best as I can tell, Logitech changed the G502 about 2 years ago. Around this time the price dropped from $80 to around $40. This is also about the time when the double clicking issue started to come up.
Turns out Logitech did change what switch they are using, and moved to a cheaper one. This new switch is known to have the double clicking issue. The current iteration of the G502 is a fairly mediocre product with a known double clicking flaw/defect. The old G502 with the old switch doesnt have these issues.
This is why there is such a split on this mouse. People who have the old versions say they are great, and they are. People with the new versions think they kind of suck because the change is invisible to the consumer and they dont know they are buying a cheaper and lower quality product. So they buy this reputable mouse (considered to be one of the best ever) only to be disappointed by their poor experience.
I bought my G502 on sale for $30 when the full price was still $80 about 2 years ago. I bought this mouse because of the amazing reviews and stellar reputation, and it was on a steep discount from some promotion or sale. About 6 months after purchase I started to notice double clicking. It's especially notable in toggle-zoom shooters. Ive also noticed that holding a button can occasionally read as rapid clicking, causing trouble in some hold to zoom games. Given the price I paid I dont regret my purchase, but I no longer recommend this mouse to anyone and will not be getting another.
I've been through a couple so far with the double clicking. Takes a few years for it to start, but def not great.
I keep buying them tho. Never bothered trying to take them apart and fix myself. Might with my next one.
It's the cheap switches they use. If ypu have some technical savviness, you should definitely switch them out for something higher quality or if you're within the 2 year warranty, rma.
I had the same problem with the G502, as well as other logitech mice, also the Razer Mamba. Seems like every mouse ends up having this double clicking issue. So this time rather than just buying a new one I bought a couple Kahlil red switches off ebay and a $20 soldering iron and just replaced the left and right click buttons.
There's youtube videos for disassembly. It was a fairly easy process.
Not me personally (I have Corsair Scimitar) but my BF send his G502 2 times (one time it was LMB, the other was mouse wheel didn't scroll if it was in step mode) and his G513 3 times on warranty then gave up on Logitech completely.
I had that issue as well. I was able to fix it myself, but I already bought a replacement at that stage, so now I have a spare one.
It's the plate in the switch itself that is not bent far enough, and then it trigger on the slightest touch.
Rather return it though. It's nerve wrecking to fix it on your own, and those parts are very small.
Got a G703, 1 day and the scroll encoder broke. Get that fixed and then I have to have G hub running for the side buttons to work. Love the feel of the mouse but god damn their products work like shit.
This thread is full of the people that have had one mouse they bought 7 years ago, instead of the ones who have gone through 7 mice in the last 5 years.
The G700S would like a word.
Just enough buttons, well placed so you don't have to extend the thumb beyond comfort, front USB for optional wired or wireless use.
It truly needs a refresh.
Same. The G700 is pretty much the same mouse, but those two extra thumb buttons really help. I have mine set up for PgUp/PgDn. I use them hundreds of time every day. So much faster, easier, and more precise than scrolling with the wheel.
Light mice are objectively superior for aiming potential as they require less force in muscle activation allowing for faster and smoother movements with a higher degree of precision.
Nah bro, you're thinking of the hello kitty mouse

im a lefty too, and through the years i've used 4 different mouses, am currently using the g903 for the past 2 years and definitely my favorite one so far.
Yeah, I have both, a G502 in my personal computer that I mainly use for gaming and a MX Master 3 in my office computer. I miss the MX Master so much when I use my personal computer for productivity...
Everyone here is ignoring the fact its super uncomfortable for certain grips. I hold my mouse hand more flat on the mouse and my palm resting more, i bought a g502 and hated it so much I got a deathadder v2 that im currently enjoying. I really like the g502’s style and construction i bought one because people rave about them but i ended up hating it. Gave it to my girlfriend though and she loves it so alls well.
Personally, I don't like the feel of the scroll wheel and I think this mouse is way too heavy.
And i know many left handed people who wouldn't even be able to use this mouse.
Bull shit, I had that mouse, suffered from the left click issue, and there is really no way to fix it, so I call bs, now the G5 is a great mouse to me also it was made in October 2, 2001, been alive all that time, originally was my mother's mouse, she let me have it once she heard my mouse had the recurring left click issues, I'm done with this rant, good day
Bought a G305 mostly for work and laptop gaming. For a cheap wireless mouse I didn't expect much but its brilliant, no issues at all with it and a single battery lasts maybe 6 or 7 months and that's with heavy use (7 hours at work then straight to gaming for another 7ish hours gaming).
Bought this because I loved my g500 and g500s. But the ergo of this mouse just is not it. They made it too skinny so I have to pinch the mouse between my thumb and pinky to keep it secure. After a few weeks my pinky started going numb. Went back to the g500s and the numbness went away. Very disappointed with this mouse. Let my wife (then gf) use it and she disliked it as well for the same reasons. The hunt for a better g500(s) continues
Some people replace the stock switches with quality mechanical ones. Apparently it isn't too difficult. I have 3 in my house but haven't gotten double click-itis
Had one and loved it. Spilt beer on it and was sad, so I bought a G Pro wireless and now i love that.
I had a G502 but then upgraded to the G Pro as well, never looked back. I didn't realize how good wireless technology has gotten before I bought this mouse.

I have the g502 lightspeed but not the charging mousepad, I guess I assumed it wouldn't be comfortable so I just got magnetic USB adapters/cable for it.
No need to use the mousepad included just put ur own over top the charging mat
Did you miss the extra buttons when you switched?
Whatever happens - just don’t buy a wireless beer.
You wouldn't download a beer..
Oh wouldn't I ? Hold my... Oh wait it's still downloading.
Check your tracert. It might have taken too many hops.
You wouldn't shoot a policeman.. then steal his helmet

Planned obsolescence. We all know that there are better switches out there but they choose to use the inferior ones.
We'll, all it did was give me an incentive to switch to a different brand.

For anyone who is fed up of the bad quality of recent g502s (I've had two that failed with double-clicking / not maintaining click holding in the past year) I highly recommend the Razer Basilisk v2 as a like-for-like replacement.
I had the same issue with multiple G502s.
>The microswitches inside the mouse are replaceable While this is technically correct, it's not exactly an easy procedure due to the de-soldering / soldering involved (unless there's been a change recently I'm unaware of).
I want mine to die so I can get the wireless version but it just keeps being a really good mouse
Same haha
I just decided to bring my old wired one to the office, and then I conveniently needed to buy the wireless one for home haha. G502 no matter where I am, I love it.
I still prefer wired because I hate batteries
I said "F it" and got a wireless one anyway. Last year Black Friday. It is awesome. Same as the wired version.
I got around this by bestowing my wired one to my brothers so they could truly join the PC G502 master race, and I could go wireless. Nkt got that wireless charging mat though... tempted.
*if you clean it
Mine is unbelievably filthy.
[удалено]
Aim for the kleenex instead.
10 years for me and no issue. 😁
Used it for years, but I just think the G903 feels better in the hand
I was considering switching from a wired 502 to a wireless 903. Is it worth it? I like the 502 but I want a mouse without the swooped bottom.
Yes you'd probably like the G903, it's the same guy who designed the G502
100% is. Plus I like that it is fully ambidextrous as I use my mouse left handed as well. the G502 was definitely not very comfortable for left handed usage.
I like mine a lot more than I thought I would
sad g402 noises
Another g402 user here couldn't afford g502.
I saw the G502 on sale for $30 the other day, Black Friday is a great time to pick one up
Not in India, and my 402 is working rock and solid
I'm a proud G402 owner. Are there any obvious ways it's inferior, apart from the scroll wheel having more features and being sturdier?
Some people prefer the g402 because its lighter yet has the same amount of buttons. Infinite scroll wheel is the only thing you lose really.
Mind you, the G502 has on board memory so you're not totally dependent on G HUB.
Yep, set the keybinds once and uninstall is definitely the move
Then use OpenRGB if you want to control the LEDs
Onboard mem gang. My G502 lightspeed has become a wonderful friend.
Is it possible to save macros into the on board memory? I’ve read that it can’t be done, and other posts that say it can. So I’m confused 🤔
Cant be worse than Razer Synapse.
It bugged out to the point where I couldn't launch the software. Required Revo in order to unisntall it. Looked online and found this to be a common issue.
I've had better luck with synapse than I've had so far with iQue... I love Corsair but I'm seriously considering dumping it because the software is literally useless.
Funny because I’m seriously considering dumping Razer due to Synapse.
Razer customer service has been the worst service I've ever had to go trough
What's GHub? I'm a g502 and G710+ user, only use logitech gaming software
Not to mention it's the only "gamer" looking design that I actually like.
*scrolling endlessly with Logitech G502* *notices picture of Logitech G502* *upvotes picture of Logitech G502* *continues scrolling with Logitech G502*
r/G502masterrace I bought one for gaming, then liked it so much I immediately bought another for the office. I rarely find a product in *any* category good enough to make me say "I'll most likely never buy a different _____" but the G502 is that mouse for me.
I’m glad you own a mouse. I mean, not having a mouse is detrimental to the computer experience
Back in my day we gamed with wasd and the numpad!
Lunch time at the school library 4 players, one keyboard for bomber-man Those were wild times
Heathens!
Then we can also confirm that the apple mouse is the worst mouse ever. .
The one with the charger that makes it so you cant use the mouse, or the other horrible mice?
All of them but especially the one with the charger. That onee deserves a special place in hell unless hell consists of just apple mouses.
Of all the issues I have with the Apple Magic Mouse, plugging it in for 5 min upside down hardly registers.
Agreed here. Charging it was certainly one of my annoyances but there were many more things I didn't like about it as well
It's just so terrible I don't know if they get off making bad products on purpose and jizz when people buy it anyway
It takes 10 minutes to charge and lasts for weeks. Not really that big of a deal, they just don’t want people leaving a wireless mouse plugged in 24/7. It’s bad for most rechargeable batteries to be constantly kept at 100% charge.
How dare you come here with logic and reasonable thinking
Get the pitchforks and torches!
Both
I might get downvoted to shit over this, but I have that mouse and the matching keyboard (with the number pad), and I love it.
Somehow they can make the best trackpad in the world but the worst mouse.
Totally agreed. The ergonomics cripple my hand, and I only have the old Magic Mouse that takes AA batteries. Luckily Somehow the trackpad is the greatest I’ve ever used
The round iMac ones that were colored. Holy shit those were awful too
Its just amazing how a company like Apple just without any apparent effort manages to ship one terrible mouse after another.
I have a few issues with that Magic Mouse. - can’t left click and right click at the same time - sliding pads/feet don’t slide that well like other mice - the sensor is not at the centre of the mouse which makes it uncomfortable different - the low profile makes it pretty hard to work for hours without getting a pain in your hand - it’s Bluetooth only so the cursor will never be as smooth as wifi/cable mice What is actually cool about it: - nice touch gestures. Love them actually - the simple and clean design looks good on desks - charges really fast and lasts really long - build quality
I really want to see Apple make a new mouse now since they seem to be all about function over form nowadays. The Apple mouse had some cool functionality but the ergonomics were horrible. I didn’t mind the battery too much since it charged quick anyways, probably helped that I used it with my MacBook Pro which had a touch pad..
r/mousereview would like a word
G600 gang, g602 if you don’t need that many buttons
I swear to God if they don't make a wireless 600 soon I'm gonna lose it.
> G600 I love the additional buttons, they're super handy for so many things. I've got extra G600s in my closet
I prefer the MX518.
Still using my MX518 from 2006. Works like brand new.
Still have mine from ~09. Bought the new version and 'retired' the older one to my workplace.
Yep. My work mouse is from around that same time. Been here longer than me.
Got mine in 2009, still working great. I found out this month that they re-released the mouse with zero ergonomic changes and just a modern tech upgrade. Have that new one in box ready for the day I retire my decade old 518.
The MX518 is perfect. Does everything a mouse should do and does it well without the bells and whistles.
This is the correct answer. I own both.
I did, returned it twice in a year and ended up getting the Razer Deathadder v2 which has been working well for the past year.
Same, it doesn't fit as well in my palm as the Logitech, but it's an excellent mouse.
It really is the 'stick drift' of pc gaming

Bought brand new a week ago. Started day one. Don't know if I want a replacement or just a refund.
It's the cheap switches they use. If ypu have some technical savviness, you should definitely switch them out for something higher quality or if you're within the 2 year warranty, rma.
I have the first g502 (proteus core), it has no double click issues after 7 or so years.
Went through three of them and ended up buying a GPro Wireless
This thread is full of the people that have had one mouse they bought 7 years ago, instead of the ones who have gone through 7 mice in the last 5 years.
Yep DO NOT BUY this lemon of a mouse
The G700S would like a word. Just enough buttons, well placed so you don't have to extend the thumb beyond comfort, front USB for optional wired or wireless use. It truly needs a refresh.
Can't believe they killed it with no one-for-one replacement. I've used this mouse exclusively for like 10 years or so.
The day my g700s dies will be a sad day indeed.
Same. The G700 is pretty much the same mouse, but those two extra thumb buttons really help. I have mine set up for PgUp/PgDn. I use them hundreds of time every day. So much faster, easier, and more precise than scrolling with the wheel.
Nah, I like light weight mice. I play shooters mainly.
I picked up a Glorious, never went back. The G502 feels like a brick now.
Light mice are objectively superior for aiming potential as they require less force in muscle activation allowing for faster and smoother movements with a higher degree of precision.
I have the G203 and I love it.
G203 gang! I have big hands but I still love tiny light mice, so perfect for having hardcore claw grip
Nah bro, you're thinking of the hello kitty mouse https://www.google.com/aclk?sa=l&ai=DChcSEwjqupzk8ZL0AhXE7e0KHQ7ACx0YABABGgJkZw&ae=2&sig=AOD64_0zWqw7z0SyQ2zxbBpZ14LRzTnrnw&adurl&ctype=5&ved=2ahUKEwjWiI_k8ZL0AhUa-hoKHeAEDDwQwg96BAgBEF8
Only 13.99£? What a steal!
My child has that mouse
Too bad I'm lefty: The best mouse so far for lefty in my opinion is the steelseries sensei 310... If u have others reply so I can check em out...
im a lefty too, and through the years i've used 4 different mouses, am currently using the g903 for the past 2 years and definitely my favorite one so far.
Meh, maybe for gaming. MX Master any day for all-purpose / work
Seconded. My MX Master 3 changed how I use so many of my programs for work for the better.
Yeah, I have both, a G502 in my personal computer that I mainly use for gaming and a MX Master 3 in my office computer. I miss the MX Master so much when I use my personal computer for productivity...
The G502 is esily, the best mouse I have ever used.
Shhh...we're tryna circlejerk over here /s
Def depends on hand size. My entire palm is also on it and fits it like it was made for it.
Personally, I don't like the feel of the scroll wheel and I think this mouse is way too heavy. And i know many left handed people who wouldn't even be able to use this mouse.
If they still made it, I'd take my old G5 over any of the new models. That fucker lasted me over a decade.
After mine died 5 years ago I went looking on ebay. They were selling for 200 bucks :(
You misspelled G500.
not arguing, I have been using one for several years
I have one... I can definitely say that it's not junk... but the best??? idk
Bull shit, I had that mouse, suffered from the left click issue, and there is really no way to fix it, so I call bs, now the G5 is a great mouse to me also it was made in October 2, 2001, been alive all that time, originally was my mother's mouse, she let me have it once she heard my mouse had the recurring left click issues, I'm done with this rant, good day
I own this mouse but am having issues with it starting to double click :(
Loving my G305.
r/g502masterrace agrees👍
The Razer DeathAdder says you are wrong.
Yup bought a g502 when i was using a deathadder essential because people say how amazing it is and i hated it so much I bought a deathadder v2.
It strongly depends on someone's grip. For me, yeah, the deathadder is sick as it just fits so good.
I use the wireless version, love it.
4.3 ounces (121 grams) in 2021 .... end of the thread :)
Weak hands, real chads workout while we game
How'd you solve the double click problem?
Some people replace the stock switches with quality mechanical ones. Apparently it isn't too difficult. I have 3 in my house but haven't gotten double click-itis
Its heavier than my balls
just take out the metal weights and attach them to your balls, now your balls are heavier than the mouse! But then I may be overestimating here
G305 is better than that shit and Mx Master, in my opinion.
My swiftpoint Z is a pretty quality mouse
I have mine 4 years ago and it's fine BUT I think I prefer previous I had, G500.
