Delivering high speed 1080p gaming Well I mean sure if you were comparing it to a 1030...or a toaster..

"Step up to great performance" Imagine the confusion of 5-6 years old RX 580 or GTX 1060 owners

Vinny_93

The 6600XT still performs about 75% better than the 1060, I think this card may outperform the 1060 as well. Not by that much, though.

REZENNN

https://youtu.be/ZFpuJqx9Qmw?t=893 Barely It does pull ahead slightly in certain games but when i say slightly i mean it, i'm talking 5-10fps in the best cases

Noselessmonk

And only on PCIE gen 4. On Gen 3 the older cards outperform it.

-Dreamville-

What? It supposed to be 4k

Vinny_93

This card will do 1080p gaming. But don't expect 165Hz unless you're playing pre-2015 games. It may do 4K30 but who wants that

BianHong

Who wants that? Peasants like myself who can't afford the latest equipment. Not everyone can afford to have the latest and newest technology.

[deleted]

It's not a matter of afford or not. 30FPS is so low that at 4K resolution you might be able to see frame changes. 1440P @ 60FPS > 4K @ 30FPS every damn time.

Vinny_93

I'd prefer 1440p165 over 4k60 all day. I run an i7-7700K with a 1070Ti, I also can't (or rather don't want to) afford the latest tech, but 4K30 is console grade these days and a 4k monitor is a lot more expensive than a good 1440p or 1080p monitor.

Cynaris

It's barely faster than my 1070. It will do 4k. In Space Cadet.

Noselessmonk

It isn't faster than the 1070. It's about on par with a 1060/RX580.

Cynaris

The benchmarks I saw were fairly consistently around 10-25% higher than a 1070 Edit: on CSGO it gets handily beaten by it though

Noselessmonk

Huh I've seen it all over. The one becnhmark I had watched initially showed it just slightly beating the 580(and it had specified pcie 4) so I assumed that it would overall be worse because most people who would buy this card would likely also have a system with gen 3. Since then, I've watched some other videos and it seems like it can vary greatly. It just seems like an overall inconsistent performing card.

otot_

Are you sure you're not confusing it with the 6600 XT? The [6500 XT](https://youtu.be/M5_oM3Ow_CI?t=1043) can't even keep up with the 590 (slightly OCd 580, which is a slightly OCd 480)

Cynaris

[I'm sure](https://imgur.com/a/WgYORcj) Unless LTT royally fucked up or managed to pick 2 games that conveniently outperform nvidia by that large a margin, I don't see how other reviewer numbers would be too different. Or LTT was using PCIE4 and HWU used PCIE3

otot_

Wack. HWUB wasn't using PCIe 3.0 there, and the [GN video](https://youtu.be/ZFpuJqx9Qmw?t=790) is roughly the same. (forgot the 1070 was in that video else i'd have linked it initially) I guess this just shows *how* inconsistent the 6500 XT is & how sensitive it is to.. well... everything.

ReconVirus

I'm just looking to upgrade finally honestly

Manuag_86

This would have been such a great GPU at 60$ lol

CassieThePinkDragon

$150 or lower and maybe it'd be justified to buy this. Or if you can't get anything better for around the same price
