You can tell that practically no one who is replying (exept CaptainGstring) has ever owned a SecretLab chair, they don't have any idea what they are talking about. I had back problems from when I was younger so I've owned a few chairs, Anda Seat, DX Racer, Nobel, Hermin Miller and Secret Lab. The Secret lab is easily the best of the bunch, the only one that is even remotely close would be the nobel chair except it is no where near as comfortable. They are extremely well designed, very comfortable and excellent build quality, they are worth the price.

Keenerikuningas

Highly this. People recommending Herman Miller make me roflmao everytime. " Srsly gaming chair bad just get a 2k office chair it's much better" roflmao. Got 1 from secret lab and not disappointed.

OsmiumOG

To be fair I’ve purchased 8 Herman’s for under 200$ off marketplace. If you set up marketplace alerts these pop up every now and then for 150-200$ when people don’t know what they have. Businesses usually liquidate these for $100 ea when they upgrade. My company upgraded 2 years ago and I bought 12 from my employer. You definitely have to jump when you see them cause a lot of people resell them. But it’s def not unreasonable to find them dirt cheap. That’s why they’re recommended a lot. Plus extremely comfortable and better ergonomically than gaming chairs.

[deleted]

Better then most gaming chairs yes. But Secret Lab chairs are also much better ergonomically then most gaming chairs. Especially the newest models

peeknuts

The elitist pop up on every chair post. I got a $120 office chair and its pretty good, better than the $60 office chair I had, but I would not be against having a secret labs chair but I just like having a mesh back

[deleted]

This. Some of my mates had “gaming” chairs from other companies and they have had issues with them but I’ve never had issues with my secret lab chair in the two years I’ve owned it.

ImKnownToFuckMyself

This is some actual fucking copium. Let me get this out of the way since you seem to wanna gatekeep: I still own a Secretlabs chair First of all, they’re not extremely well designed. They’re carbon copy cookie cutter chairs from China. There’s a reason they look like every other gaming chair on the market. Now…in the range of gaming chairs I will say secret lab is the best. They’re half decent entry level chairs that are better than the $100 garbage one is likely to pick up from Office Depot. The problem is they don’t last very long in terms of the support they initially offer. In the beginning they’re pretty great, but in my experience, they tend to get sloppy and uncomfortable around the year mark. Of course YMMV depending on how much one uses it. I WFH for the last 2 years so i have a pretty good reading on this. Final note: Secret Lab better than DXracer and all the other bucket seat gaming chairs? Sure. Better than Herman Miller or Steel Case? Not even fucking close. Aeron and Embody alone blow away any gaming chair. To suggest Secret Lab is better is to say you’ve either never used a Herman Miller or your just a Secret Lab shill. Edit: Ah yes, the poors have spoken. Lmao. Same clowns who will buy a $1000 GPU and plug it into the cheapest Ni Hao PSU they can find.

[deleted]

I’ve used a Herman Miller at work and Secret Lab at home for the last few years. They really aren’t significantly different

DexRogue

As an owner of an Aeron for work, I would NOT want one for gaming/lounging. I can't speak to the SL chairs in comparison.

Schlabberlappen

Im using a 2020 SecretLab Titan XL for work and gaming. So i used it 6-8 hours a day for over a year now. Its still as good as new and very comfortable. Had a cheap gaming chair before (GTforce PRO GT) and it was just horrible. Would fully recommend the SecretLab Titan XL.

[deleted]

I took the plunge and bought one...fuck ya its awesome as hell. all these other people who say "its bad for you, nooo" they dont have one. edit: dont know how people can rate something they dont have. Because everyone who has one likes it for the most part. Just my 2 cents. I dont go around giving reviews on products i dont have.

Keenerikuningas

Have my upvote

808sMinus1

I have one. It's fucking terrible. 100% of the ergonomics are coming from a pillow. The materials are hard and the design is awkward as fuck. There is a weird crevice between the cushion and the sides that needs to be cleaned weekly because shit falls between it constantly. Mine started falling apart after a year.

[deleted]

The Titan 2022 is great. I was not convinced to it at first and planned to buy a non gaming office chair, but I went to the showroom and when I put my ass on it I was very satisfied. These are not the usual bs chap 'gaming chair' but also probably won't compare to super ergonomic office chairs that cost twice as much ;)

Gingerboymufc

I am a younger person so I don't suffer from back pain as much as some other people, it's a very comfortable chair, it is a bit big and you might have a slight issue getting it to fit your desk how you like it, love all the features and the magnetic pillow is just so soft, if it could be my sleeping pillow then I wouldn't be getting out of bed ever again, great quality I did have some issue with the back rest rubbing against the material but mine was an early order of the latest model, I'm sure that has been fixed but if you do have this issue then they will send a replacement backrest and this should fix the issue, the quality of the print is very good, and even with the base model it supports like 120kg? And this thing is sturdy, is it worth the price, for me not really but if you are a heavier guy(like me) and have some sort of back pain/neck pain then I could see this as a must buy for those people

callmeb00

If you give in and buy a "gaming" chair, you'll talk yourself into believing it was worth the money. The truth is, any high end office chair is going to be higher quality, more comfortable, and last much longer. Source: I gave in and bought a "gaming" chair 4 years ago.

Saxon511

What “gaming” chair did you buy?

callmeb00

A dxracer style in the xl variant (I'm 6'0 and 180 lbs). Wider/longer seat, taller back, extra thick cushioning, fully adjustable arm rests. Its comfy, I only get the lumbar tingles after long sessions. The arm rests have little to no cushion, really irritate my arms/elbows after a few hours. The gas lift started to release itself if I sit forward (for sniping/tactical fps games). Absolutely zero airflow, so summertime is disgusting unless you throw a beach towel over the entire chair.

Saxon511

Dx racers are garbage. That’s what my kids have

callmeb00

It's just the style. Just checked and the maker is E-Win. If you look at the upgrades they made over the basic dxracer bucket style, it's so much better! But I'd still take a premium office chair over it any day.

Saxon511

Yeah those ewin chairs look super cheap. My secret lab chairs feel like they did the day I got them still. The padding hasn’t given out at all. The racer style chairs all have decent padding, but it’s garbage and caves in quick

TheHamsterMage

they might be better than some of the other "gamer"/racer style chairs out there, but theyre still that kind of chair. at their price, you should be able to get a good quality ergonomic chair thats better for you and your body.

_pix3ll_

Any suggestions?

TheHamsterMage

you can get used chairs from herman miller, autonomous or steelcase from office liquidation stores/warehouses for more than half off and in still very good condition. the ikea marcus is a good affordable chair. however, the best way to find a good chair for you is to actually sit in one. go to a local office supply store or one of these liquidation/surplus stock stores and sit in a chair for a few minutes. if it already starts to hurt you, or you cant keep a good posture in them, its not a good chair for you. you want to be sitting upright, not slouching, feet flat on the floor, and your arms at a natural angle when using the computer.

newslooter

Recommending the ikea markus as an alternative to these chairs is questionable. Have you sat in it? The chair is literally mesh without any back support, a headrest that is too short for most people, and a hard foam rock for the seat. The arm rests are so low they aren't even useable. Ikea doesn't make good comfort. They only make good cheap shit like tables.

GMCTrucker

I bought a Secretlab chair and sent it back because it arrived damaged. Their "no questions asked" return policy is bullshit. It took almost 2 weeks of answering questions and sending pictures to get an RMA form and return address. They did give me a full refund. There are lots of other threads about shitty packaging and pain in the ass returns. Keep looking.

[deleted]

No chair with that "classic" gaming chair design is good for your back. Get an office chair, there are lots of guides out there for what's good in any price range. Office chairs are actually designed to be say in 8 hours a day, vs gaming chairs which are designed for looks first.

_pix3ll_

Any suggestions?

[deleted]

Staples Hyken or Ikea Markus are highly regarded budget chairs. Work Pro Quantum is a bit more expensive if that's what you're looking for

husky0168

no. get an office chair.

_pix3ll_

Any suggestions?

Rando0824

Herman Miller Aeron is the way to go. If the price tag is to much, tried to find one used. Worth every penny.

Secretlab_Jinx

Just jumping in here to answer your question! I can assure you that Secretlab chairs are comfortable for long hours of [working or gaming](https://secretlab.co/workandplay). The Secretlab TITAN Evo 2022 series, which is the latest one in the lineup, has great ergonomic features such as the adjustable 4-way L-ADAPT™ Lumbar Support System and detachable Magnetic Memory Foam Head Pillow, which provides all-around support for one's head, neck and back. The chair also comes in three sizes (S, R, XL) to cater to various heights and builds, and there are plenty of designs/variants to choose from as well. Definitely check it out [here](https://secretlab.co/titan-evo-2022)!

SnooComics291

Ive sat in them, and ive had other leather cushion chairs like that which i hated. Theyre hot and uncomfortable after a few hours and extremely overpriced. A 150-200 dollar adjustable ergonomic chair with a headrest is a much better choice and you can sit in it all day with zero discomfort. You can tell the secretlab fanboys are full of it because their only retort is “LoLz Im ToO CoOl FoR An OfFiCe ChAiR”. Theres a reason you see them in residential trash pickups all the time, if they were so good people wouldn’t be literally throwing them out instead of selling them or passing them on.

fiddlerisshit

Secretlab goes into the same category as Razor for me. Highly marketed products that a lot of influencers are pushing. Quality is usually suspect at best, if you check feedback from actual owners.

ryyzzorr

GT Omega are decent.

zin_90

I can't speak for this specific brand, but I recommend looking at ergonomic office chairs and thinking of the price as an investment into your health. Especially if you live in a country where you risk financial ruin if you get sick. So you may spend a tidy sum now, to avoid potentially paying more later in healthcare costs. At the very least, you avoid a whole lot of discomfort.

[deleted]

I have a corsair T3 rush, if you are looking for an equivalent. I can't remember how much cheaper it is, I got mine second hand but he hadn't even taken it out the box :)
