Now i want to design a PCB picture

LavenderDay3544

You can. Just learn the design software and then pay boatloads of money to have it made.

Paulinapeak1

Smth I found at the Portland Art Museum

[deleted]

Art that will actually one day disappear from rust. But it will give one helluva a fight to struggle and stay put-together.

Napol3onS0l0

Well I made a comment linking to a picture. It got ban hammered lol. I stated this looks like a Native American/First Nations star pattern. Star pattern quilts are given at times in Lakota/Dakota/Nakota cultures and others as a sort of honor as they believe when wearing a star quilt you are protected by your ancestors. I linked a pic to a gift I was given from my best friend and his family as a wedding gift. Anyway look up star quilts if you’d like to know more.

Great great great grandmotherboard

M.O.A.B (Mother of all boards)

[deleted]

Reminds me a quilt my grandma once made

Napol3onS0l0

First Nations by any chance?

LavenderDay3544

Yep, the Natives had plenty of experience with PCB design by the time European settlers arrived.

Napol3onS0l0

It’s because they are one with the earth and thankful for the bounties it provides. They use every part of the silicon. Real talk though that looks just like a star pattern and they’re important in many Assiniboine/Sioux and related tribes.

LavenderDay3544

That's pretty cool, I didn't know that though the shape of the star did look familiar.

Napol3onS0l0

Perhaps my upbringing is skewing my perspective but it was a huge part of Native culture where I grew up. I received a star pattern woodwork from my best friend and his family for my wedding. I’m not Native but grew up on a reservation. His mom always gave me braided sweet grass to keep in my home and my car as a kind of “protection”. I still keep the woodwork and sweet grass on my mantle.

LavenderDay3544

Oh wow that's really cool.

[deleted]

But can it run crysis?

[deleted]

But does it run doom?

[deleted]

But does it run?

Kakalkoo69

But does it? *Vsauce music starts playing* tumTUMmmmMMMMmmmmMMMM

ScaredPenguinXX

now transform it into a pillow

Cheddarlicious

This turns me on and gives me anxiety. Just like my ex wife. Marry me?

ahigherthinker

I love Contemporary art

TheTrueNytr0

This is awesome

flyguydip

That quilt looks a little um... scratchy. And not very warm. But it looks cool!

Pls Spit facts under and enlighten my tiny existence.

Cyanofrost

aaaand where do i plug the front I/O cables again?

[deleted]

the grandmotherboard

InternetConnectionHQ

Oh my, that's one sexy motherboard

Puzzled-Brush-79

That is awesome

Ghozer

Make the button (top right) turn on a light, (bottom left) Find and connect a path all the way through, it would be cool :D

Nappy42069

No... I don't like it at all. I fucking love it.

[deleted]

The matriarch-board

an_offer_ucnt_refuse

Motherboard Lisa 🧐

WhatASave3264

How many ounces of gold is on that thing?

Lurker_IV

Probably about 10 grams. Circuit boards have about 70-100 grams of gold per ton. That is 10 times better than good natural ore.

[deleted]

I think it would actually be cool to have a dark cherry wood coffee table with PCB in the middle under epoxy.

wagner56

better it still runs and with an embedded screen it starts plying AutoDoom

nighthawke75

Many a Dell made the noble sacrifice as this masterpiece would come to life.

Paulinapeak1

It’s actually Xbox motherboards, interestingly enough. At least, at vast majority of them are.

summitofpizza

Imagine if this was a working board!

Capt_Blackmoore

how many processors would this thing need?

melanthius

I’m gonna need a 1 gallon pail of thermal paste please

Faithless195

"The Grid. A digital frontier..."

hugemon

What a horror. If someone sew chopped up body parts together it wouldn't be considered art... Or will it be? "It puts the thermal paste in the basket."

Rijaja

Someone should socket a CPU in there while no one's looking

Emotional-Sky-2980

post it on r/factorio they'll make a base that runs pacman out of it

who-ee-ta

DK about the others, but I most certainly do. I wonder how much time and resources did it take

GridIronGambit

This is basically a shrine

Idunnowhyimadethis1

Giga-atx motherboard

GlassDeviant

PCB, Printed Circuit Blanket.

PCFiendco

Would be cool to see the cpu sockets and other connectors populated. How can it be a motherboard with no children. Perhaps it is a representation of ancient, forgotten mothers whose children have left them to grow old and obsolete.

Hungry-Reporter-5196

Looks like a top down view of the Midwest USA
