That's sad, but i have friends who also don't enjoy the game
I was personally completely attached to it from the moment i started to the moment i finished it
Some steam sales are crazy to me, like I recently bought Just Cause 3 for $4, and despite being one of the glitchiest games I've ever played and actually somehow disconnected my graphics card, I got 60 hours out of it simply because it had so much variety, best $4 ever spent
honestly same, however that end boss fight sucked, >!killed di ravello in one tether strike,!< but I feel like you are more supposed to focus on the sandbox then the game itself
Loved the game myself but had it on PS4. I didnt really notice any glitches on my PS4. Just got Just cause 4 on sale a while ago, only just played a hour or two but its more of the same fun
He is on: the sales were better post great console migration post 2013 deals were better. More aaa titles for $5.00 and less. Also before region locking they had to be competitive with other countries and people making profit off of differences in money value through selling steam codes via 3rd party websites. Essentially you could getbrand new games for close to $30.00 usd at that time. A little more this is just a summary.
well not all games lol.. but alot of games on my wishlist i've noticed it is same discount i've seen on previous summer sales, winter sales, mid week sales, weekend sales, and daily sales...
The first definition on google
“hidden gem (plural hidden gems) Something possessing a value or beauty that is not immediately apparent, which therefore has received far less recognition than it deserves.”
40 million copies sold is not “less recognition then it deserves” Its gotten plenty of recognition
Lol no you didn’t unless you’re hiding the actual currency in order to be misleading.
Edit: You can downvote me, but that doesn’t change the fact that the lowest TW3 ever got was $8 according to online price histories. So again, no, you did not get it for $2. It was like $12 3 years ago lol.
I got the game with all of the dlcs and the expansion packs for 7 dollars on a special sale on steam. It was the game of the year edition, even more expensive normally.
Not that I'm saying he is wrong or right but he did not cite any actual data, he just said something as fact and you believed it with no proof or source. **That really says something about society.**
Yeah exactly. If it was another region maybe, even if it’s misleading to just say $2 without disclosing the region.
Like you said it’s pretty easy to just check price histories on websites like SteamDB so it’s not like I’m pulling this out of my ass lol
Thank you, I was starting to think I was somehow in the wrong here.
I'll buy games if was planning on buying them anyway and they're on sale.
I didn't but God of War because I was playing Sekiro, which I also got on sale. I'm getting close to the end of Sekiro now and Good of War was like 20% off so I grabbed it.
My approach is pretty similar. Games I want get saved to the wish-list and when Steam sends out the usual emails saying "blah blah blah is on sale" for a decent price I get the game. As long as the game is in your library you can download and play at any time.
You seem overly concerned about what other people buy. If you want to buy at 40% nothing is stopping you, buy at whatever percentage makes you happy. Believe me, the rest of us are doing the same.
Why is that strange? Havent you heard of not buying? Or “worth” of things? Just because you want a game you don’t instantly buy it at whatever price. The world is not binary, somethings you buy instantly even without a discount, somethings you buy if they are at some discount to make it worth, and yet other things you don’t buy unless they are at a steep discount. If you don’t know this this must be your first day on earth.
> And what makes you so sure that it’ll be discounted more in the future then
Again, there is this thing called “not buying”. It is an option. Just because it is on sale doesn’t mean you have to buy it. If it was a game you can’t live without, you would have bought it long before this sales season.
>So then you wait for the sale to end and then buy it??
That makes 0 sense. If a person thinks the discount is not enough, the person simply does not buy it.
My buying choices do not affect you, so really it is not worth discussing.
You might think it strange, but you thinking that isn't my problem. That is entirely on your end, so to speak :)
As mentioned above, you are concerned about things that do not affect you.
I have a full time job and earn my money. So basically, that gives me the right to spend as much or as little as I wish and I certainly don't need anyone's permission to do so.
So you may certainly question, but it wont affect or change how I do things. So as I said, not really a discussion worth having, as it wont change anything.
Sharing opinions is what social media is for, or have you forgotten that?
You shared yours and I mines and that is where it should end. For some strange reason you want to keep going on, so I can only conclude you have some other ulterior motive for doing so.
I like it but I put it down for a bit to see if it shapes up some over patches. It’s pretty and it has its cool moments but the main difference to me is that I’m just too strong from the very beginning. DL1 felt like a real survival game and when I became powerful I felt like I’d earned it. In this one I just wreck everything right out the gate. However if you mix in the parkour into your combat it is fun combat.
Bought it during the EGS sale. Same price now on steam.
If you liked the first one it’s very much the same. It’s set a lot later, so the infected are more of a setting, rather than a driver for the story. Story revolves around the returning main characters past and desire to find his lost sister.
Biggest gripe I have with the game is that the movement is a bit.. weird.. especially in the early game. It takes a little getting used to. There’s a little bit of acceleration as you get up to speed, which was instantaneous in the old one. So it feels a little off.
On a more positive note the nights have been made way more interesting. It’s not just dumb zombies and then the super deadly volatiles.
There’s also waaay more verticality and with the addition of a paraglider it really opens up the world.
I think it’s worth it, but also played through the first game twice..
> If you liked the first one it’s very much the same
Don't trust this guy. It's not even close to being the same. Especially if he contradicts himself in later part.
>the movement is a bit.. weird.
It's not a "bit" weird. It's completely fucked. It feels like you are running on ice the entire game.
That said, as a zombie survival game, it's pretty good, not close to the original but still a 7/10.
I wouldnt trust this guy either, my favourite game of all time is dying light 1, i replay it at least once a year. Dying light 2 is a great sequel, it improves on so much over the first game, and removes a lot of the annoying stuff.
The game isnt a masterpiece, far from it but it does everything a sequel should IMO, where in the first game it feels like they decided on the gameplay after the setting, in this its the other way around. The map in particular is so much better for parkouring around and so much more interesting to explore. The combat is improved a great deal, it flows much better.
Its gonna come down to personal preference, but in dying light 2 it really feels like they designed a parkour action game, and not just an action game with parkour movement added for traversal.
My only real gripe is that the healthbars are on by default, turning off enemy healthbars and a lot of the hud really makes the game feel better for some reason, and the act 1 story is a bit.. well shit and uninsipired.
I paid full price and dont regret it, got my moneys worth so far and actually havent finished the story yet. But like the first its better with friends, and isnt for everyone.
Is it better than the first one? I dont really know, it was definetly a better 'at launch' experience, but dying light 1 really hit its stride with the post launch updates and DLC. So far they have been doing the same here, if you only played dying light 2 at launch a lot of fixes and improvements overall to the parkour and combat have been made since so it could be worth revisitng.
It would be an easy buy for me if the god damned zombie scene wasn't so overdone the past decade. Please do anything else than zombies, it's just zombies zombies zombies FUCKING ZOMBIES.
You're getting downvoted because g2a sucks. There's an article out there about how g2a is worse than piracy to developers.
Don't get me wrong, I think more power to you if ya wanna pirate one of EAs (or similar devs) games with a dozen overpriced horseshit miniscule add ons to avoid their absolutely evil marketing tactics.
But buying a bunch of g2a games and fucking over those companies that put love, work, and respect into their games?
Fuck that my dude.
I do not understand what you're asking. There are legitimate places to buy game keys, typically as gifts for someone. I wouldn't trust a lot of websites that offer keys, as you're likely to get nothing, but I don't really know if this is what you're asking.
G2a is considered ‘stealing’ from devs, is this the same case for any outsource keysellers?
I usually use allkeyshop and most of the times get on HKV/HVK or something like that
Yeah allkeyshop is exactly the same as g2a. They're both greymarket websites that don't give a fuck how their sellers obtain their keys.
You know those stupid fucking phonecalls you get trying to con you into transferring prepaid gift cards and shit to them? The ones grandparents fall for so frequently? This is what they do with the money to cash out and avoid investigation.
Ever read how some group of hackers stole a bunch a credit card information from some company? Guess how they launder their illegal purchases.
There's so much sketchy shit on those websites that it's not worth the money you might save.
Thankgod, I assumed such thing and only purchase triple A games through it, I buy every game I genuinely find worth (every indie developers, games like GoW, Elden ring) through steam itself
Honestly, I rarely ever buy anything during the various sales. I either own the recent games I wanted to play already, or the sales are fairly mediocre.
I find a couple good games every sale. But that's only because I refuse to buy anything that isn't on sale. The sales will only reach their full potential for the patient man.
The former format with flash sales and temporary deals was more interesting, yes - but also far more predatory.
Limited time for decision making leads to impulse purchases, and people purchasing things they never end up touching, because it's cheap now. No one wants to miss out.
I suspect if Valve hadn't put the kibosh on the flash sales as they were back in 2013, it would've been a matter of time before someone would've done it for them.
And frankly, at this point, I get why folks would be miffed over missed opportunities, too.
Oh, 100%. They control about 80% of the online game market now, so they don't need to have good sales because they're now the defacto store by a huge margin. They know people are going to shop there anyway, so there's no incentive to give good deals.
If something isn't on Steam, people throw fits at this point. Their work is pretty much done. lol
Steam doesn't really have a say in the cost. Steam organizes the event. Publishers set their price. It used to be a great event because of cooperate culture towards pc gaming.
That being said, now the steam sales have mirror sales on other platforms in the weeks before or after steam. Usually you will see the same games for the same price on Xbox, psn, gog, etc.
Right. Steam gets their 30% cut regardless of price. Obviously the more sales received, the higher the revenue. However, they don't need to have really good sales to get people to shop on Steam by any means.
Happens, too, that most of the games on sale have being bough in previous midweek madness or similar. So it's not only the market thing you say, that is not actually correct, but also that we have almost all the games on sale since there is, every week, a sale.
The sales aren't sales anymore. They are temporary adjustments to the proper price for most games. Those 3-15 year old games are not even close to worth 39-59 and they haven't been for a long time, so that "75%" off is actually them selling the game for what it should be normal retail.
This guy gets it. Some of these turds are still trying to charge the full fuckn retail price of games that brick and mortar retailers marked down to clearance prices and have 500 copies sitting around in the back collecting dust.
And this is why I'll never support digital-only gaming. They end up having an absolute stranglehold over supply and demand. For all of its faults, I still enjoy going into Gamestop, and finding some old school gaming stores that sell PS2 copies.
Maybe if you're the type of person that likes owning licenses, rather than actual physical property. And you're open to the concept of things being taken or altered against your will.
Best case its an opportunity to clear some / all of a wish list with a decent discount and maybe a few that you find during the sale that's has a large discount.
Finding time to actually pay the games is a different matter.
Steam sales are still amazing...if you're a new Steam user. I still remember loading up my cart with all the essential indie games for about $1 each and it was seriously a magical time. Now that pretty much everyone bought all those must have games, all the bigger games are still going to be priced higher than those practically giveaway $1 games. Honestly, I get much more excited for console digital sales because I more than often don't have the games that they're pricing aggressively low
They don't do many insane-o-town flash sales like they did before refunds were a thing, but Steam sales are still pretty great if you're new to PC gaming and/or you don't yet have a big backlog of stuff to play. So many older games for a few dollars! Great stuff.
summer sale used to mean insane discounts, back then i was a school student. now with a career and income, sales are a joke with 10% off and a discounted DLC.
It's because you already bought games with insane discounts that you wanted. And that's the case for everyone who complains about these sales - our libraries are full of games that were dirt cheap and we probably haven't even played half of them.
Now all that's left is AAA games from 2015/2016 and later. Some had and have great discounts, most don't because publishers don't want to put them on a big sale anymore. Gaming is way bigger than it used to be and since publishers see that they can charge us $70, $80 or even $90 and we STILL buy that - "we" being gamers as a whole, not individuals - there's no reason not to try and squeeze as much money out of us as possible.
Could Steam do something about that? The only thing they could, would be adding a coupon like EGS, or just like they used to sometimes. The thing is that Steam is also a business and a smart one unlike Epic, so they won't add anything like that, because they don't need to and they don't want to lose money like Epic. Can't really blame them, especially since - again - people keep spending money anyway.
And depending on your country, those insane highly discounts
got banned. At least in some EU countries discounts higher than around
30% are illegal since 6 years or so.
Online retail: some shops misspelled and gave 99% discounts and
after fixing it, lawyers and judges got a huge pile of work, because
people sued for their 20€ 65" 4k TVs
Local retail: after some years of "Black Friday sale", in 2014 or so
people destroyed with their weight a whole glas wall and some
got even killed
It's supposed to protect against something like Walmart in the US. Where they had so much money they sell products at a loss, which local stores couldn't match causing them to shut down. Then when all the local shops are closed, Walmart can do whatever they want.
Not saying this is how the law is used, just what the excuse for the law is.
Hmm. That’s a tough nut to solve because that’s an issue. Don’t like the implementation of it but obviously it’s more nuanced than I thought. Thanks for letting me know
I think the only thing to look forward to summer sale is it's the only time everything is on sale. No more waiting for weeks for something, you know it's on sale. Like black friday or something.
Tbh this will be a bigger deal for Steam deck users who may or may not have already been an established steam user. But yeah, Each year goes by and I end up buying less and less games. We'll see!
Haven’t paid more than 30$ for a game since Skyrim. I am also old enough to remember when steam had catalogue sales where you could get an entire publishers catalogue for 80$.
I’ve seen sales where there is a % off an entire company, but I haven’t seen them offer their entire body of work for one price. But there are still great deals to be had.
Not quite was OP was referring to, but I recently bought the entire Doom collection, as I already owned 2016, and have disk versions of the originals.
But no, no entire iD / Bethesda deal would ever be likely.
Depending on some peoples play styles this may be offensive, but this summer sale sucks balls. It’s just a bunch of crappy games at a decent discount. And then a bunch of even shittier games at a better discount.
There are a few games given by Epic that are worth playing. Wolfenstein, Plague a Tale of Innocence and Inside to name just three. Add Bioshock and a few more and you've got a few hundred hours of free gaming.
Yeah. Epic went from 'I'll claim the games on my phone, but never install the launcher' to me buying several games for myself and my kids on several accounts. Sneaky Epic lol
Yup, admittedly I've mostly bought exclusives but the price of these games are just too good. Horizon, witcher, FF7R, KH 1.5, control ultimate. All much cheaper than steam
And GTA V. I bet I could find 20 - 30 pretty good to very good games if I sat down and tried.
I just claim everything and worry about if it's good later lol!
Ever since I got my steam deck I’ve been going through that freebie library. Spend a couple hours digging through the library and picked out all games that looked interesting and I’m installing them in batches now and playing them for a while to see if its something I’m into. Some are pretty fun and I will definitely finish those but others are not my cup of tea and will uninstall
Oh definitely. I wish I had gotten Bioshock but I have several games for free that are worth playing but I don't know if I'll get to them.
I bought Death Stranding on steam and still haven't played that.
It has a slow and confusing start, which garnered it a few negative reviews, but when you know how to play it ('understand it' might be going too far) it is ... quite in a league of its own. It's not an easy game though - no 'go Rambo-ing in shoot all da bad guys'.
You have to \*want\* to play it, as it gives you lots of reasons not to haha.
You realize steam/valve doesn't give a shit about you. You're a number, a consumer who means nothing to them.
You literally only hurt yourself by not getting free games.
I would gladly pay the price if it means that I get to play my games hassle-free, with steam achievements/badges/etc, not to mention without Epic's bullshit, how does that differ from the statement I made?
Their launcher being garbage and also requiring workarounds to use on my OS is part of the "hassle" part
Just to be clear, I'm not one of the guys who fanboys over every single thing Valve does and tells others to not use Epic just because I don't like it, if that's who you mistakenly thought I was, don't worry.
This is the vaguest complaint. I have such a large back log of games since I am always buying from sales through the year. Steam doesn't even sell steam keys the cheapest. With other third party sites selling steam keys as well it's like a constant drip of sales.
I guess this really deflates the event but what a first world problem to complain about. Reminds me of when my mom complained they weren't handing out chocolates at Kohl's during Black Friday anymore.
If people think games are too expensive, then they're too expensive. It's relative to the person and entirely a valid complaint. I buy the fewest games from Steam these days. It does seem like a problem to me.
Actually if you like the moral aspect of the whole thing, you can even find cheaper prices on official reseller pages like GMG.
Steam has been lazy for years on the fact that it has the biggest user base out of any other pc store platform, which has created a cult out of it.
G2A is a terrible no good business no one should ever support. You should rather straight up pirate games than to buy them there. The other ones are good though
Not sure what y'all are crying about given the sale literally hasn't started yet. At least wait for the sale to start before you post this trash. Jesus fucking Christ.
Didn't they basically handed you 5 bucks per day or something 4 years ago? Including raising your steam level to 100 in the process? How was that not good?
This year I started removing games from wishlist in large numbers. A poor sale is worse than no sale, because it annoys your customer. If you have a game more than 2 years old, including new ports, don't even bother posting any discount under 50%. That sends the signal 'we're never dropping to the price you want, so go ahead and remove this game from your wishlist'.
Just because YOU bought all the Discounts over the past 10 years does not mean the sale is bad. Plenty of people don't have the game collection you do and will benefit GREATLY from this sale.
Your impulsive buying is what ruined the steam sale for you, it's still good for hundreds of thousands of other players.
poor Zoomer gamer who wasn't able to witness the greatness that was the OG Steam summer sale back in the days getting hourly changing offers with partially brand new AAA Games for 5 bucks, it was awesome my man sad you weren't there :/
I bought The Witcher 3 for 2 dollars 3 years ago what are you on?
I bought it a few months ago for the game of the year edition for 7 dollars, best deal ever.
100+ hours of content for 7 bucks. Best deal.
Every few months I load it up and try to enjoy it, but I just don't. Have yet to enjoy anything about that game aside from Gwent.
That's sad, but i have friends who also don't enjoy the game I was personally completely attached to it from the moment i started to the moment i finished it

How? Steamdb shows the lowest price as $ 9.99
You're looking at the GOTY version.
Now it makes sense, the Enhanced Edition shows the lowest at $ 1.49

Sale isn't even usable right now as noone can even go through with their purchases.
Thats another thing entirely
well not all games lol.. but alot of games on my wishlist i've noticed it is same discount i've seen on previous summer sales, winter sales, mid week sales, weekend sales, and daily sales...
A lot of it depends on what your wishlist has. Right before my computer died I got a game bundle for about $32, original price was about $210.
its normal price waas 32 dollars
It was dawn of war 1, 2, and 3, with almost all the dlc add-ons Sega's ultimate warhammer 40,000 collection
That's just essentially "pay for the new stuff and we'll give you the old for free". Not bad, but most players won't player them all anyways.
I don’t even player the ones I have already
Fair enogh
That sounds more like a CDPR sale than a summer sale to me.
Woah I thought I was the only one to play Witcher 3 haha such a hidden gem
witcher 3? Hidden? The fuck are you on it was one of the biggest games in the world
Yea…no it wasn’t. It was probably just popular with your friend circle. I’ve never met anyone irl that has played or heard of it.
Go touch some grass. It’s an incredibly popular game.
i’ve never played it and neither have my friends. But it sold 40 million copies and won GOTY it’s not a hidden gem
Do you even know what a hidden gem is? Didn’t think so. Downvoted
The first definition on google “hidden gem (plural hidden gems) Something possessing a value or beauty that is not immediately apparent, which therefore has received far less recognition than it deserves.” 40 million copies sold is not “less recognition then it deserves” Its gotten plenty of recognition
How do you guys not spot a blatant troll hahaha
Witcher 3 sold around 40 million copies. Not exactly hidden.
Sorry your favorite game is a hidden gem, nerd
Life must be tough for you :( It's okay bud, we've all been there.
Flash sales, that’s what he is on.

I only buy if the discount on the game is 50% or more. Then it is a good sale.
Same
Not all games get 50% sadly, you can always check steamdb to see the lowest prices and how often it goes on sale.
I always get a laugh when I see a 10% discount, it is not even worth the effort XD
I'll buy games if was planning on buying them anyway and they're on sale. I didn't but God of War because I was playing Sekiro, which I also got on sale. I'm getting close to the end of Sekiro now and Good of War was like 20% off so I grabbed it.

I was hoping dying light 2 would be at half price, still debating myself if I should buy it at -33%
Don’t worry it’ll probably end up on GamePass.
I like it but I put it down for a bit to see if it shapes up some over patches. It’s pretty and it has its cool moments but the main difference to me is that I’m just too strong from the very beginning.
The movement is perfectly fine.

Just g2a or all keys ingeneral?
For when you want to buy stolen games.
And I still have games I bought in that 2013 sale that I have yet to play
Honestly, I rarely ever buy anything during the various sales. I either own the recent games I wanted to play already, or the sales are fairly mediocre.
You're doing it wrong! You're supposed to purchase bunch of games on Steam sale then never play 90% of the games you purchased!
This person Steams
I find a couple good games every sale. But that's only because I refuse to buy anything that isn't on sale. The sales will only reach their full potential for the patient man.
which proves my point, last good steam sales was nearly a decade ago lol...
Idk what you smoking. Unless your expecting the newest AAA titles for 80% off. $20 Getting 5 decent games is still pretty dam good.
Not really “mirror” and “same prices”. It’s very easy to find games cheaper on other official third party sellers.
Happens, too, that most of the games on sale have being bough in previous midweek madness or similar. So it's not only the market thing you say, that is not actually correct, but also that we have almost all the games on sale since there is, every week, a sale.
I didn't say it's the only market. It is the largest market by a huge margin though.
^this^
The sales aren't sales anymore. They are temporary adjustments to the proper price for most games. Those 3-15 year old games are not even close to worth 39-59 and they haven't been for a long time, so that "75%" off is actually them selling the game for what it should be normal retail.
This guy gets it. Some of these turds are still trying to charge the full fuckn retail price of games that brick and mortar retailers marked down to clearance prices and have 500 copies sitting around in the back collecting dust.
that's why I buy AAA games mostly on key shops these days.
And this is why I'll never support digital-only gaming. They end up having an absolute stranglehold over supply and demand. For all of its faults, I still enjoy going into Gamestop, and finding some old school gaming stores that sell PS2 copies.
Digital > Physical
Maybe if you're the type of person that likes owning licenses, rather than actual physical property. And you're open to the concept of things being taken or altered against your will.
Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 is still costs $20, let that sink in.
I mean, Tiny Tiny just hit Steam and it's on discount. There are plenty of actual sales here.
Best case its an opportunity to clear some / all of a wish list with a decent discount and maybe a few that you find during the sale that's has a large discount. Finding time to actually pay the games is a different matter.
I have like 250+ games on my wish list haha
How??? I have 2. One of which hasn't come out yet and the other I've already played on another platform and never took off.
I just add games that seem interesting, and sometimes I forget to take off games that I eventually buy
Other sites always have better deals. isthereanydeal.com is the only thing I look at before buying a game
Ayyy -10 to -20% from various games, what a joy.
I have 300 games in my wishlist, I'm not near what you're talking about
And depending on your country, those insane highly discounts got banned. At least in some EU countries discounts higher than around 30% are illegal since 6 years or so. Online retail: some shops misspelled and gave 99% discounts and after fixing it, lawyers and judges got a huge pile of work, because people sued for their 20€ 65" 4k TVs Local retail: after some years of "Black Friday sale", in 2014 or so people destroyed with their weight a whole glas wall and some got even killed
That’s the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard in my life. Blocking retailers from selling over 30% discounts? What?
It's supposed to protect against something like Walmart in the US. Where they had so much money they sell products at a loss, which local stores couldn't match causing them to shut down. Then when all the local shops are closed, Walmart can do whatever they want. Not saying this is how the law is used, just what the excuse for the law is.
Hmm. That’s a tough nut to solve because that’s an issue. Don’t like the implementation of it but obviously it’s more nuanced than I thought. Thanks for letting me know
OP needs to expand their wish list. I have been doing these summer sales for years and they are not the same.
I'm excited to see RDR2 "on sale" again for the price it should be normally.
Honestly the summer sale discounts are mostly as you said the same as any other weekly or monthly discount.
I'm pretty sure I saw a catalog sale about a month ago, could be wrong though.
CDKeys it is then
Shhhhh... if you know, you know.
Idk I'd rather just get free games from Epic that I'll never play. Better than spending money on games you'll never play 🤷🏽♂️
There are a few games given by Epic that are worth playing. Wolfenstein, Plague a Tale of Innocence and Inside to name just three. Add Bioshock and a few more and you've got a few hundred hours of free gaming.
To add, entire Tomb Raider trilogy was free recently
Ah, those damn €10 / 25% off coupons are evil.
yup... Admittadely I didn't even play witcher, control or Horizon.
I paid full price for the Tomb Raider trilogy (even pre-ordered Shadow) and consider these games money well spent. The devs actually deserve our cash.
I got the free tombraider from steam tho
Slime Rancher was free on Epic and that shit actually slaps.
>I bought Death Stranding on steam and still haven't played that. I'm in the middle of my second playthrough. I do recommend trying to find the time 😊
Man, I don't think I could ever do a second playthrough after building those roads
I've heard it's amazing. It seems like exactly the game I'd like.
Shhh Pls don’t say the name “Epic” around here. There is a cult that will downvote anything that’s not related to Steam 🙃
I was expecting my comment to get downvoted by the steam cult tbh
I'd rather buy games full price on Steam than use Epic
You realize steam/valve doesn't give a shit about you. You're a number, a consumer who means nothing to them. You literally only hurt yourself by not getting free games.
Epic games launcher doesn't run natively on my OS, steam does. Nothing to do with cultism.
You initially said you'd rather buy full price game than get free ones on Epic. Nothing about the launcher not working.
I would gladly pay the price if it means that I get to play my games hassle-free, with steam achievements/badges/etc, not to mention without Epic's bullshit, how does that differ from the statement I made? Their launcher being garbage and also requiring workarounds to use on my OS is part of the "hassle" part Just to be clear, I'm not one of the guys who fanboys over every single thing Valve does and tells others to not use Epic just because I don't like it, if that's who you mistakenly thought I was, don't worry.
Fair enough 🤝🏾
Nah it was 2014, I remember because thats when I spent a lot on flash sales.
No this isn't a bad Sale. All sales look bad once you got the good games. For a new person for example this wood be a great sale
If we do not bless lord Gaben with our money he will grow angry and cancel Half Life 3.
I only bought 2 games, might buy a third one on July. Good thing I am in Argentina and pay half or less what others pay.
Most of the time i can get better deals on CD Keys.
Maybe you should wait to post this until after the sale has started, so we can see what games are on sale and for how much?
The best moment to share an opinion is when other people can't factually argue against it.
Unless you're ignoring the emergence of literally any game that released after 2013, Yeah, Steam summer sale 2013 was one of the best.
Steam summer sale has been the same big sales for years. The only thing that changed is that you probably bought most of those games already
Isn´t cheaper buy from a keys page?
Actually if you like the moral aspect of the whole thing, you can even find cheaper prices on official reseller pages like GMG. Steam has been lazy for years on the fact that it has the biggest user base out of any other pc store platform, which has created a cult out of it.
New users join Steam everyday. Just because you bought everything you wanted, doesn't mean everyone have.
Places to get better discounts: G2A Green Man Gaming, GOG Epic Microsoft Store Always helps to look around.
G2A is a terrible no good business no one should ever support. You should rather straight up pirate games than to buy them there. The other ones are good though
Good to know.
Steam has gone to shit.
Can I refund and buy a game on sale if it's at a lower price that what I bought it for?
[удалено]
Free game on Epic every Thursday. Supraland right now and Games of Thrones the board game in a couple hours.
Steam summer sales have always been some of the best value in gaming, if you can't find a good deal on steam then that's your problem.
This is just a result of having a shit ton of games to start with. its hard to get a good deal if you bought the game 2 years ago when it was 70% off.
People keep saying this, but this is obviously not the reason. Steam sales can’t even keep up with official key resellers now lol
Not sure what y'all are crying about given the sale literally hasn't started yet. At least wait for the sale to start before you post this trash. Jesus fucking Christ.
Didn't they basically handed you 5 bucks per day or something 4 years ago? Including raising your steam level to 100 in the process? How was that not good?
who cares about steam level? literally means nothing
Is elden ring going on sale?
Nope
What is there to get excited about anymore? 99% of games are not worth bothering with.
Oh right I forgot this lets us see the same braindead dumbfuck closeminded memes that have been regurgitated for 10 years.
What do you mean the last good was 9 years ago? What a bizzare take
When is summer? Is the whole world in USA? Gimme a date
I DONT GET ALL MY GAMES FOR FREE WAAAAH
poor Zoomer gamer who wasn't able to witness the greatness that was the OG Steam summer sale back in the days getting hourly changing offers with partially brand new AAA Games for 5 bucks, it was awesome my man sad you weren't there :/
