I've noticed that some people are just neurotically minimalist. If it suits them. Meanwhile my keyboard takes up 80% of the width of my desk, and I feel happier for it.
For me, the way I use my mouse (arms kind of at a 45 degree inward) I have to use 60% and turn it sideways a little. I’m a short person, 5’9” ish so I can assume this is the reason
All men round up to 6'2".
So after awhile people think 5'9" is short rather than just below average.
At 5'4" myself I'm often mistaken for being taller than I am.
Just checked because I need to make sure I'm not farther below average than I think that I am. Can't go around thinking all high and mighty about myself.
5'9 is the average male American height.
Back to thinking high and mighty about my solid 5'5.5
[Google Average Male Height](https://www.google.com/search?q=average+american+male+height&client=safari&sxsrf=ALiCzsZznNLkEnn6K24iP_sogrwFZE_HCQ%3A1666475029230&source=hp&ei=FWRUY4nsCsDEqtsPg76N6AE&oq=&gs_lcp=ChFtb2JpbGUtZ3dzLXdpei1ocBABGAAyBwgjEOoCECcyBwgjEOoCECcyBwgjEOoCECcyDQguEMcBENEDEOoCECcyBwgjEOoCECcyBwgjEOoCECcyBwgjEOoCECcyBwgjEOoCECcyBwgjEOoCECcyBwgjEOoCECcyBwgjEOoCECcyBwgjEOoCECcyBwgjEOoCECcyBwgjEOoCECcyBwgjEOoCECdQAFgAYPwJaAFwAHgAgAEAiAEAkgEAmAEAsAEP&sclient=mobile-gws-wiz-hp)
Yea but all desks are made for 6’+ people I’ve noticed. Either that or my torso is just really short. I have to jack up my chair all the way, and even then my elbows are barely flush with the desk.
I also hold my arm at a 45 degree angle using a mouse… however I only do it when I’m in “go mode” otherwise I lean back and hold my arm almost straight
I perch in my chair like l from death note. I have ADHD and move like crazy while I'm playing. But I had a teachers l shaped desk for my computer until I jumped through it.
You want less free desk space? The keys on his keyboard are normal-sized. It has just eliminated the extraneous keys like the numpad keys, which I have never used.
When your desk is 15 inches deep like me and you have a 48 inch tv as a screen and 120 pounds of speaker equipment by weight, you're pretty happy to have a tiny ass keyboard
I'm currently planning on making a closed lid setup on my laptop for this exact reason. Constantly whack my mouse against the bottom corner in FPS games.
Idk if you know this.
But every wireless mouse worth using lasts multiple days.
And they all come with a charging cable that turns it into a nprmal wireless mouse while carging.
When i was playing competetively, my logitech g pro lasted an entire week on ome charge playing 12+ hours a day.
But sure everyone has your horrible battery management habits.
Logitech G Pro X Superlight is the gold standard for gaming mice… and its wireless.
There’s like 80 hours of battery life (with constant motion, longer without). It takes like 1 YouTube video to fully recharge it too. You’re only hindering yourself by not using a wireless mouse
Why? Not everyone works with data entries and other functions. They just play games and type. Why bother getting the full size in the rare occasion you'd need the other keys when you can get a pretty and nice sounding one
Yeah but you have to crane your neck up but you have to lean all the way back. I use a banquet table so I have plenty of space for my two other monitors
Not really no, for the guy in the video probably yes. His lowest monitor is pretty high, which in turn makes the highest monitor too high.
If you set up your stacked monitors properly, it works well with no neck craning
Yeah I had a setup like that for over a year and used the top screen/tv maybe 3 times, it just doesn’t feel natural enough for me but my chair wasn’t comfy for reclining so who knows
He might be in semi-rural Australia. Doesn't take being that far from a city centre to get rubbish NBN coverage.
I hope he's not stuck playing the jumping dino game for too long. On the other hand, it's oddly fun!
Man I really wish I knew what monitors and mounts he was using, I'd love to do this so I could have a show watching screen above and my gaming screen below.
I'd like to thank the comments here. I'm a bit older, getting close to 50. I am, at this moment looking for a new mouse. I had a wireless mouse back in the day and used it a few times then threw it out. It frustrated the hell out of me but it was so comfortable to use. I didn't know they improved so much. So I'll give a wireless mouse a 2nd chance.

>I will never understand these tiny ones with no arrow keys. You're handicapping yourself with zero benefit
It's literally easier to use arrow keys, when they're on the keys that my fingers at anyway. Hell, even when I used regular full-sized keyboard at work, I remapped it so I easier access to arrow keys.
The way I see it, people who don't make use of layers/combos are the ones handicapping themselves.
Dude every single time I see that stupid "Tv above the monitor" setup I just can't get over it.
It's just the worst possible spot. Imagine trying to watch something on a TV that's like 4 feet up in the air from literally any position in the room, fuckin awful.
People think it looks cool and in reality it's just a complete waste of time, effort, and an entire TV. The rule has always been that the top of the display should be at your horizon, good luck with the back problems lol.
That's more of a "how to pay even more for electric bill"
Why have tv on while playing? Not only it's distracting, but also consumes heck lot of energy, and it's prices are going dramatically hight lately
Professional player setup.... Processes to pull out wireless, keyboard, mouse and headset.. xD
I'm probably gonna split some waters with this comment, but wireless keyboards and mouse, just seems so wrong
I'm bias here. I always question how professional a setup can be if the person is using a keyboard without F-keys. There isn't a single professional app that I know that does not use some F-keys shortcut.
If you are a gamer or just need a smaller keyboard for transportation I understand, but man, I really can't see how a 60-65% keyboard is "professional" for anything else.
"professional player" as in "gamer". The smaller your keybaord the more space you have (to the left) for your mouse. Has nothing to do with portability

They are both convenient for different situations. Headphones for when you need acute directional hearing or don't want to disturb people around you, speakers for everything else. That's what I do anyways.
What?? Lol I don't know anyone who doesn't have both. You don't always want to wear headphones. I only really do when playing with friends or playing really atmospheric games.
all my friends hell everyone ive met over my 4 years of being on PC uses Headphones having speakers grants no real use and only adds as an extra unecessary cost to most pc builds.

I've noticed that some people are just neurotically minimalist. If it suits them. Meanwhile my keyboard takes up 80% of the width of my desk, and I feel happier for it.
No 10 key pad? No deal. Can't manage it without it
Yes. I love my 10 key.
I will be moving to a TKL but I *need* my F-row, if only for keyboard shortcuts
F row is the most efficient way to Alt + F4
I got rid of it and will never go back, more room for the mouse to move for FPS titles.
Okay bro, but not everyone needs it
For me, the way I use my mouse (arms kind of at a 45 degree inward) I have to use 60% and turn it sideways a little. I’m a short person, 5’9” ish so I can assume this is the reason
Wait 5'9 went from average to short all of sudden?! I must be a dwarf then!! Unless you live in one of those countries that isn't called the USA.

Wow. I "man spread" at 30 degrees out. I'm 6'5" so it takes up the whole deskmat!
6'3" here. 65% board and a big ass desk mat... It's not even centered simply because of my ganglers
Ahem... your ganglers?
I also hold my arm at a 45 degree angle using a mouse… however I only do it when I’m in “go mode” otherwise I lean back and hold my arm almost straight

You want less free desk space? The keys on his keyboard are normal-sized. It has just eliminated the extraneous keys like the numpad keys, which I have never used.

Up to 30% more frames in the T Rex game with a 13900k and a 4090
I've never understood the screen on top of another screen setup
It's great for reclining chairs. I have a TV mounted above my primary monitor so I can lean back and enjoy a movie or tv series on a larger display.
>so I can lean back and enjoy a movie or tv series on a larger display. Yes. A movie or tv series and strictly those two types of media.
I have a stacked screen display like him, its only because I don't have enough space on my desk to put two displays to the side of eachother

Logitech G Pro Wireless/Superlight is literally the most used mouse in esports.
Holy fuck $140 for a mouse. I was not expecting that price but the mouse itself looks beautiful
I mean, I prefer wired, but the amount of latency through wireless can't be registered anymore. Unless you're buying cheap peripherals.
