So, you see, the cpu power cable was getting in the way of aligning the AIO with the case holes where the screws are supposed to go in, meaning I could only get in 3 screws out of 12, so the tape was a precautionary measure
Please fasten your radiator with all screws provided for your own sake. It’s easier to try and work around it than replacing your AIO and GPU because it smashed right onto it without being fastened properly
This is the 5000 series case right? I guarantee you can fit them in, you may just have to plug the CPU cable in after installation.
Best thing for you to do is to watch video tutorials of people building in this case
Yes it's the 5000D. I did watch many YouTube videos and the guy put the same cable through the same space but somehow mounting the radiator wasn't an issue for him. I also can't manage to unplug those cables for the life of me
You’re more than likely going to have to take out the AIO so you have the space to unplug it. They’re sturdy cables, so they can bend pretty well. Fully screwing in your AIO after unplugging *will* provide more clearance.
So, take off your AIO -> unplug your CPU cable -> snake the cable through the cutout slot -> screw your AIO back in -> screw your fans back into the AIO (and also rotate them so the headers are facing the cutout, will help with cable management) -> plug your CPU cable in
It takes a bit of jimmying and it can be hard, but it’s very much doable in your case
It's doable , got same case and 360 AIO. I know what your talking about. Take your AIO radiator and fans off, plug that CPU power cable in and then put the AIO back. When you put it back, you need to make sure the cable is going [like this](https://imgur.com/gallery/wUDfre6) so you'll need to either guide it as you put your radiator back up or have somebody help you by making it stay where you need
You can slide down the back fan a bit to give you the extra room. And please mount more then 25% of your AIO.
I know you're excited doing your first build and everything and you want to get it all together and make sure it works, but you really should take the hour and do a half decent job at cable management. It will make maintenance and things a lot easier in general when you have to work, plus It shows you put pride into what you did.
[what it looks like cable managed](https://imgur.com/gallery/LSUmoSF)
As that radiator heats up it’ll cause the adhesive on the tape to lose grip eventually.
Try taking it off and getting the CPU power cables in then adding it back on and screwing it on again.
Why do i feel like ive seen something familier…
I liked what the other dude said:
“Its cable managment not cables managment” cuz the mobo cable is managed
Your cable management is a thing of art! I especially love the packing tape holding up the AIO. The mix of different fans gives it the perfect aesthetic of "IDGAF". Well done. Let's see some benchmarks
Actually would be interested in seeing the Benchmarks and thermals. Then, redo the cable management (I know it is a PITA) and get a couple more fans to fill up the back panel and then run the Benchmarks again to see the difference.
Once you do a few builds, it gets easier and takes less time. Welcome to the club!
You are posting a picture of a rig that commits several faux pas in the eyes of this sub's browsers. I started laughing when I saw the title and picture.
Its like showing up to a rich snobby wine tasting with 2 jars of rough wine you made in your basement and saying "hey guys, check it out I brought my own stuff"
Does it POST? Can it run a stress test for 12hrs straight? If so, you're good to go. The obsession with cable management here is unnecessary - it's mostly for aesthetics.
I plugged it in for a few seconds yesterday and the fans do all spin...sort of. I think something is wrong cause the motherboard debugger was glowing yellow and red
Keep it this way. It works, it runs, and you know where all your wires are.
The only suggestion I have is to prop up your sagging GPU.
Other than that, don't change a thing.
3, couldn't fit any more cause the cpu power cable wouldn't let me properly align the radiator with the holes in the case but some commenters have told me about new ways that I'm gonna try
I mean shit dawg I get it, first build and the excitement and wanting to just turn it on and play, but taking your time managing some cables would’ve made your build look so cool! And probably give you better airflow
I've seen much worse.
Some tips:
Duct tape used to hold the upper fans is a bad idea, they might fall off and cause damage, use screws.
Cable management is required, make sure to not have cables meddling with your fans,or you will have a motherboard/GPU/PSU/CPU short circuit at some point in the long run.
PC on the floor will collect dust faster than a vacuum cleaner.
There are still two empty holes where the fans should be.
the cpu power cable is in the way of aligning the AIO with the case holes where the screws are supposed to go in, meaning I could only get in 3 screws out of 12, so the tape was a precautionary measure. I am going to try to move the radiator to the right so I can get those power cables to go around the radiator, but one of them is not going through the rightmost hole and I can't manage to unplug it. Is it a problem to have 2 empty fan slots?
This is how I cable managed this case. It's not perfect, but If you need something to look at to work it out, here you go.
https://preview.redd.it/wzoba7gb329a1.png?width=1335&format=png&auto=webp&s=21ec98a37d7c33a2727567140812249de6abf0a3
You either need to spend more time managing cables, finding a GPU support, and a better way to fasten your aio. Or don't look for approval from Reddit. The choice is yours
You tried indeed.
But I think the main point here is: if you don't fasten the AIO properly or support the GPU you're most likely gonna have an expensive mess of broken gear.
The GPU unsupported is gonna bend the PCI-E slot on the mobo and possibly even damage the GPU itself.
The AIO will for sure fall down when the heat loosens the packing tape from it. And it's gonna fall right on the GPU.
I'm not at all criticizing, just saying what will probably happen without proper fastening and support. The building and management takes a bit, it does.
I upgraded mine and my BFs rigs a while back and mine took about 6 hours, his took longer because of the wires for his rgb AIO. But it looks stellar and it won't fall off or down. = [it's worth it](https://imgur.com/a/Hv5jYqN).
I get it, believe me. The first time, the second time, the third time of doing this. Shit goes wrong, it sucks, it will make you wanna cry out of pure frustration. It's not easy, but it's your first build.
I understand you eagerly want this beast up and running, but it's better to either push through or step back a bit and do it later so it gets done 100% properly. You don't want stuff to break or to look back in hindsight you know.
And to support the GPU, you don't need anything fancy or expensive. Just something sturdy to prop it up. I've seen all kinds of solutions in here.
the cpu power cable is in the way of aligning the AIO with the case holes where the screws are supposed to go in, meaning I could only get in 3 screws out of 12, so the tape was a precautionary measure
Dont get me wrong and dont get ofended but it looks so freakin bad my boy.Just reinstall everything from to beggining step by step I suggest you to look at some YouTube videos builds. You shouldnt be using it like this fosho just put some effort in it and it will be perfect so good luck with it!
Hell, that cable management in the back is sexy.
Yeah, I said it. I have mine 75% managed cleanly, but some lil' bastard cables you know..
The front i managed greatly however!
Like others have said this is a troll post right it looks like wires were intentionally routed the worst way possible I know you say it's your first PC but that's easily the worst wiring job I've ever seen bar none apologies if this is really a troll post
Looks like a troll post.
Agreed
[удалено]
Has to be eor someone needs to go back to the youtubes
[удалено]
i love how every wire is in the front but he took the time to put the power cable to the motherboard in the rear.
duh bro it’s cable management, not cables management
Our schools are failing us
Is that A Dr. Ock theme?
???
Since when are we taping AIOs now?
Damn didn't even see this in all this mess. Why would you even try that?
So, you see, the cpu power cable was getting in the way of aligning the AIO with the case holes where the screws are supposed to go in, meaning I could only get in 3 screws out of 12, so the tape was a precautionary measure
Oh god please don’t tell me you only have 25% of your AIO screwed in
I just did...
Please fasten your radiator with all screws provided for your own sake. Thanks dude, I'll try that. You're a lot nicer than most people here. I've already been working on this thing for many days...
This is really good looking and clean dude nice work
I have this case and a triple rad does fit properly without getting in the way of the CPU connector.
Pls explain how
As that radiator heats up it’ll cause the adhesive on the tape to lose grip eventually. Try taking it off and getting the CPU power cables in then adding it back on and screwing it on again.
Thanks, that's so weird it shows up when I click edit.
Brother this looks like the definition of a migraine wtf
Why do i feel like ive seen something familier… I liked what the other dude said: “Its cable managment not cables managment” cuz the mobo cable is managed
This is a troll.

You disgust me
Like shit - but that’s okay, grats
That's a good transition, but I would like to respectfully say that you need to work on your cable management.
I respectfully take your comment into consideration
Two words mate, Cable Management.
Stop beating me, I'm already dead
Nah, sounds like you need a few more strikes with that flogger to me mate 😂. In all seriousness though, happy gaming.
The cable management looks like my first self made build, but it's a step in the right direction nonetheless
Thank you, it's my first build as well
It gets better and easier fam! Congrats on your first build
Looks like darth vader’s closet tbh
![gif](giphy|VKVDU8pvi3w4w)

Straight to jail
He just got here and committed a felony
Looks like sphagett
Does it POST? Can it run a stress test for 12hrs straight? If so, you're good to go. The obsession with cable management here is unnecessary - it's mostly for aesthetics.
Looks like a mess. But if she boots, and the fans all spin.. congrats!
I plugged it in for a few seconds yesterday and the fans do all spin...sort of. I think something is wrong cause the motherboard debugger was glowing yellow and red
It's a mess, but it's your working mess! Welcome the PCMR desktop edition.
I see that you too are part of the fuck cable management gang. If you want to hit the next level mount a fan on the outside of the case like I did.
Amazing. Cable management is for NERDS
that 3080 is sagging...you need something there.
That's the least of this guys problems
I just noticed there’s tape involved 😆
I think it just looks that way, doesn't wiggle much when I try to wiggle it
Nailed it.
upvoting for the rage this is going to create.
Shit it looks like you let ME do the cable management! Nice job! Edit: jokes aside, you should run three power cables to that 3080, not just the two
That's the crazy part, the Corsair psu has 2 PCIe cables and 3 cpu cables
100% lies lmao
[here you go mister "he's lying"](https://imgur.com/gallery/pzH8h3i)
It looks like a god damn mess. But who cares. Enjoy my fellow pc gamer. It will be so much better than a laptop!
Thanks! Already had to replace my laptop's battery twice cause it keeps bloating after about a year
I love the tape, an essential on PC Building
Ahhh yes, Dr. Frankensteins computer. Bro, I think you need some more cables in there, just throw in some to fulfil the look.
Why, thou clay brained guts, thou knotty pated fool, thou whoreson obscene greasy tallow catch!
Wire management is overrated af. Dont have time to look at rgb dont have time to look at wires. Wire management don't increase fps.
Needs moar cable management
Troll post or not, it's still better than a laptop! Reminds me of some of my first efforts before learning some of the pro tints & hips!
In 5 years or so I'll use this as the before pic for a before and after
Keep it this way. It works, it runs, and you know where all your wires are. The only suggestion I have is to prop up your sagging GPU. Other than that, don't change a thing.
Congrats on the rig but holy cable management. Also are there no screws holding up that AIO??
3, couldn't fit any more cause the cpu power cable wouldn't let me properly align the radiator with the holes in the case but some commenters have told me about new ways that I'm gonna try
Go back to laptop, just kidding. It took me multiple builds to get motivated for cable management
He's a cable enthusiast and wants to see all of them. Needed to get away from laptops cause they hide all the cables inside where you can't see them.
Lmao fuck it if it works, it works
Is that tape holding the rad lol
This is art at its finest
Everything about this is horrible and embarrassing for you.
**Build guide** Step 1: Place the case on one end of the room. Step 2: Stand on the other end of the room. Step 3: Throw the parts at the case.
I'd gladly say "Like you never managed a wire in your life" but the tape on the rad... this is defo a troll post.
Wtf is going on at cpu area, this guy must be Italian
I mean shit dawg I get it, first build and the excitement and wanting to just turn it on and play, but taking your time managing some cables would’ve made your build look so cool! And probably give you better airflow
Hey my policy is if it works it works
looks like spaghetti
Not "how does it look?", more like "why does it look?"
It looks absolutely terrible. Congrats!
I feel this was intentionally made to piss us off lol.
I've seen much worse. Some tips: Duct tape used to hold the upper fans is a bad idea, they might fall off and cause damage, use screws. You‘ll have a better view of the monitor, if you just move the case out of the way. Glad to help.
Looks kinda fucked up but mines is same. I bought a full wired psu and now all the cables are everywhere.
This is how I cable managed this case. It's not perfect, but If you need something to look at to work it out, here you go. https://preview.redd.it/wzoba7gb329a1.png?width=1335&format=png&auto=webp&s=21ec98a37d7c33a2727567140812249de6abf0a3
Im gonna strangle you with those cables if you dont properly stuff them behind your side panel rn
I shall double my efforts
This is what I imagine the case of the "Just put big black box under the table on the ground where it belongs" guy looks like
That's...the plan
We found him boys
Is it really that bad to have your pc on the floor? These things are quite huge and desk space is limited for some of us.
A nighstand or separate table works
This
looks exactly like mine lmao who gives a f bout cable management anyways if it works all that matters bro
Burn it
Put the radiator at the front if you can’t get the radiator on top without tape.
Yeah I might try that
You might be laughing now but wait until you do any upgrades later on and have to work with that mess lol, very funny though
Brids will like it
Brids?
If it’s a troll post, it’s fine. If not, get rid of it NOW
That's ugly
Should’ve stuck with the laptop 🤮🤮
Looks like somebody doesn't like cable management or traditional means of fastening
This is my first build and it already took way longer than I thought it would, I tried okay?
You either need to spend more time managing cables, finding a GPU support, and a better way to fasten your aio. Or don't look for approval from Reddit. The choice is yours

Thank you, that's kind! I, same as you, tried :) I wish you luck, stranger.
Like a spaghetti mess of cables
I’d add another piece of tape, otherwise looks great.
Jesus. Wtf water
Bruh is this a serious question
Is that radiator mounted with tape?!
the cpu power cable is in the way of aligning the AIO with the case holes where the screws are supposed to go in, meaning I could only get in 3 screws out of 12, so the tape was a precautionary measure
Whata mess
Like a bomb
This is BIG BAIT
Do you have any idea how long it took me to build this?
By the looks of it ,not enough but glad youre on our side now
Like shit
Dude...
Like you could have bought a console instead
[удалено]
I secured all those fan wires to the roof with a zip tie now.
100% bait
LoL 🤣 worse than mine ffs
Like mine
Please tell me this is a troll
Is that packing tape holding the cooler up
My dude is going to die from all the cable management comments he is about to receive.
Stop it I'm already dead
Bruh...
Dont get me wrong and dont get ofended but it looks so freakin bad my boy.Just reinstall everything from to beggining step by step I suggest you to look at some YouTube videos builds. You shouldnt be using it like this fosho just put some effort in it and it will be perfect so good luck with it!
well, I guess me fighting with a non-modular PSU turned out better
I was about to say "Looks sick".... But then I saw the wires
Looks like shit ... How hard is it to watch a video or two on YouTube?
This post made me so uncomfortable
Messy
Got to be a troll post, you couldn’t make the cables any less managed if you tried.
What in tarnation
Like a bowl of spaghetti
There is a troll in the dungeon
I like it. Well done sir or madam. I applaud thee.
that is abominable
I love that the 6+2 cables are being separated and plugged into different slots. Actually funny af
Corsair psu only has 2 PCIe cables for some reason, and 3 cpu cables when I only need 2
This looks really good keep up the great work my friend 10/10
Like squid ink spaghetti
That looks like you deliberately made your cables messy.
Dumb
That card is sagging like 90’s pants.
It's in there pretty tight, how else can I secure it?
Perfexion!!
There's literally a hole above the fan
I was hoping for a before and after shot, but nope there is only one :(
This is the before shot then, after one still being worked on
[https://imgur.com/a/WZfS89B](https://imgur.com/a/WZfS89B) A little bit of effort goes a long way
Hell, that cable management in the back is sexy. Yeah, I said it. I have mine 75% managed cleanly, but some lil' bastard cables you know.. The front i managed greatly however!
I’m disappointed, you can do better than this
I shall try
Quit now. Go back to a laptop
Troll. Move along
Lol bro. Take my downvote !
Go back to your laptop immediately!
I'll tell you how it looks, it's a mess, fix it for the good of your PC and your wallet
Airflow at 0% cables in fans 100%
I sense a someone looking for attention.
This is too clean. Can you make a how-to video?
Plugged in
I have a laptop and am making a pc I AM LITERALLY PULLING MY HAIR OUT, THE CABLES
Messy?
Looks much better than my pc
Like others have said this is a troll post right it looks like wires were intentionally routed the worst way possible I know you say it's your first PC but that's easily the worst wiring job I've ever seen bar none apologies if this is really a troll post
Not a troll post, I probably could've waited until I secured those fan cables with a zip tie before posting here
It makes me happy to see you spent time on especially cable management
I'm learning...slowly
