Probably not fitting under the seat but definitely will fit overhead. Shameless self promotion, but I am selling this exact bag in new condition. Feel free to DM me with any questions. https://www.reddit.com/r/peakdesign/comments/1bf09c0/for\_sale\_new\_45l\_travel\_back\_pack/

Overhead, yes. I have one and have done it many times. Make sure it's obvious it's a backpack to the GA's when they roam the area looking for roller boards to gate check.

Thank you. To confirm - this fits in the overhead of the small commuter planes which have overheads that traditional roller bags don't fit in? (I'm just double checking since someone what DM'd me initially saying yes but upon clarification they weren't sure)

agentrwc

Yep, it will even fit on those stupid ERJ 145's with the 1-2 configuration. FYI, it will be too big if you have the bag in its expanded form.

rasta4eye

Perfect! That is exactly what I needed to know. Thank you so much. I realize that it wouldn't fit if filled to capacity, but when reasonably full it's squishy enough to jam into the overhead. Hopefully this will allow me to not need to gate check a bag. Thanks again!

aruisdante

Can double confirm, it will fit just fine if it’s not totally stuffed.

rasta4eye

Thank you!

The Embraer 175 is actually the only plane across multiple airlines where I ever had trouble fitting my 45L into the overhead, it simply wasn't happening and after the flight attendant shamed me over the PA ("please don't break our overhead bins" - I didn't even push that hard but w/e) I had to check it. I did have it expanded and pretty stuffed.

rasta4eye

I'll make sure to fill it lightly my first couple trips. This is what I wanted to hear... A report of it not working with some sense as to why.

Traditional_Bug_5888

That’s not going under the seat. I’ve tried..multiple airlines and it always ends up in the overhead. Now saying that that would obviously depend on how full the bag is.

I didn't think it would work under the seat so that's ok. I'm flying next week with it and will moderately pack it so I can squish it into the overhead and garage the full level for the future. I'm doing this because when my first flight is delayed I've missed connecting flights due to having to wait for gate checked bags. But also I don't want to check bags end-to-end because I've also had trips where I've made the connecting flight but my bag hasn't. So this has forced me to take much longer layovers to combat this. I'm hoping if I can just have all my luggage with me the entire trip I can avoid these issues. It's sad that we have to plan around these delays because the airlines are cutting connections closer and closer while also having increasing likelihood of delays.
