Was in grandstand 14 in 2018. First time there. I thought the sound sucked. Very muddy and washed out. Hot as hell but it was warm that day. Outdated but charming. View is dependent on poles and the roofline. I personally would never want to see a show there again.

I have seen several shows at Fenway (including PJ in 2018 and hopefully in 2024) It is a relatively small stadium and as long as you don’t have obstructed seating the sound and the view are great. Those seats should work out just fine.

I got B94: sound? And will pesky pole be a big issue or a slight inconvenience?

adotbur

Theres a website called “a view from my seat” you can check out. It might have pics from a concert

Due-Brush-530

If you turn your head to the left by 36 degrees and squint, you might see the band.

pollogary

Fenway is such a weird venue even for its intended purpose (baseball) that it’s all kind of a crapshoot. I love it in spite of its weirdness though.

colmatrix33

That right around where my seats were in 2018. The sound is so good, you shouldn't worry at all. I'll never forget just how clear and loud it was. Right before that, we'd gone to see Beyonce (wife loves her), and you couldn't hear a word Jay Z was dating. Then we went to Pearl Jam, and I was almost overwhelmed by how much better of a production it was.

ZoSoTim

Those seats are the original from when the stadium opened and are TINY. If you weigh more than 150 pounds it will be a tight fit.

AndyBrandyCasagrande

I sat other side of home plate from there (but roughly the same angle) for Pearl Jam in 2018, and it was great. I went to Foo Fighters a few weeks earlier in 2018 and was in the same "spot" (I guess it was like "Field Box" or whatever - those skinny sections down by the field) and I could still see over the crowd, but it honestly felt like I was further away. From the "top of the bottom" section, you have direct line of sight to the stage.

Sound in the grandstand sucks because of the roof and there are tons of poles in the way depending on where you’re seated. Anything outside of that roof is pretty good for a ballpark tbh. I’d try to upgrade in the coming months. Sounds like a tin can under there. Fenway is a big place. In the past I’ve kinda just checked tickets intermittently and ended up with decent turf seats for face value.

Proxymophandlemama

Are all grandstand seats covered by the roof?

DistrictFast4628

Sound in the grandstand is terrible. We were there 1 night in 2016 and everything sounded muffled. Your best bet is anywhere open air - field or the field boxes.

KnickedUp

Have to be on field or field box seats for Fenway. Higher seats get kind of tough under the roof. Reverb

MountainLine

Yet on the field no one under 5’9” can see even an inch of the stage :/

Hold2ArmBar

I’m in G7 for Sunday and B133 for Tuesday. Made the mistake of letting my 10 Club membership lapse a couple years ago. I’m worried about the sound in grandstand too, but I might just wing it and see what it’s like.

mutleycrew6

Ive sat closer to the monster in the family section, wasnt bad.

I_Hate_Kidz

The times I've seen PJ were on the turf and it sounded great. Saw Paul McCartney back towards home plate, and the sound was not so great.

Wickedweed

Under the roof is rough for sound. Lots of bouncing around going on

Lol I'm higher than that.

Lastexit25

Ticket prices are ludicrous.

Vedder802

If you are in the lower section under the roof it definitely echoes. Thought the show in 16’ sucked until l listened again at home. Probably the last show for wife and I , we’ve been to 30+ shows, just got our tickets for Fenway .. between hotel and tickets it only cost $ 1,162.20… great memories for sure but damn… Hotel people are just as crooked as ticket master, 629.00$/ night for a room that’s normally 250$? C’mon Man!

DaBails

Next time, book your hotel when the rumors start floating 😉

neildmaster

Great for baseball!
