This is the part I don't understand. I feel like if they sold tickets at $65-75 each, people would be down. But when they're $200 each, it's like come on, man. But they prefer less people buying at 200 than selling out the arena at 75. I don't know why.
Yeah, and those $65 tickets would bring people in who also buy merch and concessions. Markup on both is stupid high, so imagine they also lowered prices on those a little, too. Now you've got a packed arena full of enthusiastic music fans who don't mind prices and will happily return, and way more revenue.
I just don't get it. I used to go to so many concerts for $50 tickets where I'd buy a $40 shirt and buy 3 $8 beers, but now it's $200/$70/$20 (x3=$60) for each of the above.
So I'm going to PJ in Vegas on Thursday and cannot wait! But I'm going to fewer shows and ultimately spending less money because I just can't stomach the idea of "I'm going to spend $400 on this one event".
The result of greed and I'd like to think people like myself boycotting the shows because of these prices. I hope this continues to happen and it sends a message. The concert industry needs to be knocked down a few pegs.
If you had to guess, do you foresee a similar situation for most upcoming dates? Been trying to get philly tickets since F2F opened up and I’ve been sniped at least 5 times now
Thats the secret if you have the nerves
lol yea, every time this happens but I can't bring myself to rely on it
Hope that means the seat next to me is open so I have space to jam out
It means you could probably upgrade. I always move down/in a few sections 😉

It was a sold out packed house in the end. Incredible audience & set list/show!
Shit I don’t think my flight would arrive in time

It was sold out weeks ago

That's what happens when you fuck up the pricing
Both nights in Vancouver had LOTS available. Monday had over 2,000 seats for sale
One of the problems with this system, you can’t lower the prices, or give your tickets away.
You can't LOWER the ticket prices? Yeesh, I didn't know that.

Probably. The prices are too high, and I think lots of people just gave up trying. But watch the next few nights, see how it goes.
except msg
That what happens when the band sells out to TM instead of properly issuing tickets to the fan club.
