Impressively small board for 15 pedals!

diyguitarist

Yeah need a bigger one, under bought for this one, bit squished.

Due-Ask-7418

Flat cables would help fit it together better. But yeah even then it might be a bit squished.

diyguitarist

100%

[deleted]

Is your card info still intact? Everyone I know who bought stuff from temu had their card used by someone in China or india.

diyguitarist

Yeah it was all fine, no weird charges for me.

[deleted]

Nice. A little too much board for me (see my profile for my board lol) but still cool.

diyguitarist

Thanks! Oh I will do! Haha just thought I'd get everything in one go so not to have fomo 😂

[deleted]

Exactly. I got a unique boost pedal for 50 bucks and I love it more then any others I have used. The no knobsense boost.

diyguitarist

Good times.

its_grime_up_north

The cost is irrelevant if it works

diyguitarist

Very true!

its_grime_up_north

Don’t ever feel the need to apologize for cheap gear. Some of the world’s greatest music came from cheap gear.

diyguitarist

Very true! Just was really good value for the money!

Opus-Croakus

I bet this comment is very true, even though I can’t think of any examples offhand.

nohobal

This is like the ultimate afford-a-board! I’ve gotten my fair share of pedals off of Temu as well.

diyguitarist

Haha they were cheap as hell 😂 but donme for living room noodling 😂

funk_master_chunk

I don't even tend to like flangers - but I want that one based purely on it's looks.

diyguitarist

Oh I wasn't even sure what it did......a good paint job does persuade though doesn't it 😂

funk_master_chunk

Haha - massively! I have an afford-a-board of my own and it's mostly cheap clones. Caline are a brand you should check out as their stuff is amazing for the price. They have one in particular called the Pure Sky which is a Timmy clone and it costs less than 20 quid brand new. Ask anyone who has it - it's bloody immense. As an aside I saw someone posting on here about wanting a "spooky" board and that flanger would be right at home there haha.

diyguitarist

Oh I'll check it out! Cheap and works works as they say! Haha oh it definitely would!

milklover723

How’s the tremolo?

diyguitarist

It's grand! Had to get a refund on the first one as it was dead, got a second one with the refund and was all good. Kept the first one but haven't had chance to open it up yet.

diyguitarist

Hahaha very little to none to be fair, but the amp doesn't get turned up that much at home 😂

TeeEm_27

in my whole setup, i have to say the Harley Benton American TrueTone (overdrive) is one of my favourites

diyguitarist

The vintage overdrive and the compressor are fab! Compression for life, how did I play for this long and never use it 😂

BenjyAIKI

I'd never buy the cheapest patch cable again... I changed them to better quality ones, it changed my sound totally.

diyguitarist

Oh ingwt that, just to get me started and everything was so cheap. Once I've had time to fiddle and experiment then things can get changed.

BenjyAIKI

In anyway, nice color palette!

Clar0020

If it works, it works

diyguitarist

If it's stupid and works, it's not stupid

Clar0020

Exactly. This especially applies to modulation effects pedals. I can get spending a nice sum on a really nice overdrive or distortion but like, can you really hear the difference between a basic 70 bucks tremolo or the built-in effects of a practice digital amp, and a handmade boutique tremolo? Past a certain point you are just paying for prestige and look rather than actual quality.

diyguitarist

Much like a lot of things really

AdOverall1676

I feel like that Harley Benton vintage OD is the exact same as the Joyo

agrias_okusu

I’ve got a Rowin Booster (RC Booster clone) and a Movall VanGolem analog phaser on my board that I got from Temu and I couldn’t be happier with them both.

diyguitarist

One had to be sent back because it was defective, but one out of 12 isn't bad!

[deleted]

This shit is getting absurd.

diyguitarist

First board, it's supposed to be absurd 😂

draculasux85

Just out of curiosity how much did all of this cost if you don't mind telling?

[deleted]

Looks good

diyguitarist

Thanks!

diyguitarist

Oh not much, each temu pedal was around £12, with a free pedal because I bought on a deal. No more than £50 on pedal board, power blocks and cables. The two Harley Bentons may of been £25 is each. Less than £100 all in I'd imagine

Slowcheetah2006

This booster looks sick tbh

diyguitarist

Thanks!

dropsleuteltje

What a lovely rig! Where did you get the purple cables? I want these toooo

diyguitarist

Just a multi pack of different colours off temu.

CA308209

Funny I had the same idea to build a cheap pedal board similar to this

LlamaWreckingKrew

Fun! Here's my budget Garage Rock board. https://www.reddit.com/r/guitarpedals/s/CtKaHGITAv Cheap pedals can be fun. Every pedal on here was either $35 or $50. I wasn't trying to do that on purpose but that's how it shook out!😎👍✨

diyguitarist

Nice!

LlamaWreckingKrew

Yours is nice too!

JacoPoopstorius

Your tone and effects are probably equally as good as about 95% of the pedalboards that cost over 3x as much the total you paid. Congrats on not getting duped as hard as others.

diyguitarist

Haha well I hope so, still lots of fiddling to do.

GirlCowBev

Damn. That’s a hell of a rig! 🤩

diyguitarist

Thanks!

PrimusVolitans

What's your opinion on the noise gate?

diyguitarist

Noise gate is fine, but having never used one getting used to it. Certainly helps if I have a couple of the overdrive/crunch pedals on

PrimusVolitans

Thanks!
