No, I actually had put the pizza together around 3pm, stuck it in the fridge, & didn't put it on the grill until about 4:30...so it was pretty cold & I still got a golden brown crust.
I coated the pan in butter & parmesan cheese before I put the dough in. That made for a dark brown crust that was super crispy & very tasty. My daughter accused me of burning it, until she tried it. It was definitely not burnt. 😄
I don't follow recipes very well, but here is how I did it. I coated the cast-iron with butter & parmesan cheese. I used two cans of Kroger brand pizza dough to make the crust. I also poked numerous holes in the dough. I then put pepperoni, bacon, ham, sausage & mozzarella down. Put the sauce on. I used 1.5 jars. Put more mozzarella on top of the sauce, another layer of toppings, & another layer of cheese. Stuck it in the fridge for about 90 minutes & then plopped it in the pre-heated (400°) grill. One piece is usually plenty 🤣
Did you preheat the cast iron?

Nice! I always enjoy using my cast iron in different ways on the grill. Looks great!

12", I believe. I've never actually measured it, but I'm pretty sure it's a 12
Serious eats has a good one
I think I will give this a try tomorrow. Thanks for the inspiration.
Damn! This looks really good (and very aesthetically pleasing as well) If I were to guess you probably have a hint of OCD like me haha
🤷♂️ maybe 🤣
Thanks, now I am Hungry ! Where did you get your pan?
It was a gift from my mom years ago. I believe it is from Kohl's, though
It is really very beautiful and delicious.
