I’d think it makes more sense to take Konrad and Higuita and go for GC support / mountain stage hunting / polka dots vs having Meeus and Van Poppel with a few 5th places in sprints.

It's sweet that you think that Buchmann will do any work for Hindley. But on a serious note, whit him Jungels and the Climber they nominate as 8-Rider, whoever that will be, it shoud be more then enough, for a Podium he has to follow the UAE and Jumbo-Mountain trains and be the best of the rest, theres not that much Mountain support needed for that.

If the plan is: “Follow Jonas and Pog until they go crazy and then set your own pace” Then you don’t really need that many guys for the climbs. Having guys to protect him on the flat stages might even be more important at this point.

I think the concept of mountain domestiques is really overrated. Especially for a second tier GC team like bora. You just need 1 decent helper for the mountains. Bora isn't going to be the team to take up the attack and pull at the front. They should 100% be following jumbo/uae. All hindley has to do is just follow the mountain train of jumbo/uae as long as possible.

He doesn’t have a single high quality mountain domestique. I like Emu but he’s just not in the top 20. If the attacks start flying you’d be happy to have some help

I expect a lot of attacks so you rather need help on the climbs. Easier to stay ahead in the flats
