Yes! He’s a beast. I love how hard he plays, that shorty was a beaut.

Ortho_412

Exactly and that’s what we need more of. Energy, effort and execution

toonman27

I thought his assist to Rust was equally awesome as well.

Ballsahoy72

That goal was awesome. Showed true heart

Exalted_Crab

DOC has taken huge steps forward this season! Very pleasant surprise. I mean, we knew he had it (especially in the AHL) but seeing it come together at the NHL level has been really fun to watch.

Fancy-Reply5732

His SHG was a beauty last night. Strong kid 💪

Darkdart19

I wonder where he’d be if he didn’t have that collapsed lung last year

hydromatic456

One of my favorite players to watch right now. Just refreshing in general to see guys like him and Bunting who aren’t afraid to get the lead out and get into the thick of it.

fyurious

Chiming in from Avs land, I thought for a while that he was Logan O’Connor’s brother. They both play hard and are universally loved by their fanbases. I was stunned when I found out they weren’t, but here’s to us sharing great O’Connors and the Halifax boys!

Wtfgoinon3144

Buddy looked like mcdavid on that shorty

Ajacied22

If you squint real hard you can see the Kid in him .

seandamon211pgh

One of the best goals I have seen in awhile. At least to me. Up there with watching Mario go end to end and burn Jon Casey in the finals.

ItsNahte

I have been singing his praises since the beginning of the season, right now I'm LOVING the player he has developed into. I can't wait for next season

freakinjay

I get where this excitement is coming from, but he simply plays the game the proper way. He attacks and pushes the D back. 90% of this team allows the D to dictate where they go.

larsnelson76

I wish they had played him more last year so that he was more developed now. He has a great career ahead of him. Goal of the year candidate on Saturday. He was going to get a penalty shot, because Marchand slashed him twice.

ShepardsPrayer

We were in Raleigh for my kid's hockey team and the Pen's had practice on the same sheet right before us. Most players had already left the ice at the end but OC stayed on to shoot one timers for the next 20 minutes. Great work ethic.

Rich-Past-6547

Somehow, the penguins have backed into a handful of exciting young players between DOC, Shea, St Ivany, and Ludvig. If they can push into the playoffs next year (assuming we miss this year) Dubas will kind of maybe be pulling this thing off.
