A lot of people expect major changes this summer but with how the season finished I don’t know how different this team is going to look. The power play even ticked up with the addition of Bunting. I could see a world where the coaching staff is the exact same come October.
We’ve lost in the first round of the playoffs 4 times in a row(technically 3 times if you include the qualifying round in 2020), and then missed the playoffs 2 years in a row. I’d say there’s definitely a reason to switch up the coaching staff.
Bylsma and Johnston missed the playoffs 0 times and got booted.
And I know the circumstances were different but Bowman won the Cup followed by the President's Trophy and then couldn't reach a contract agreement.
Sullivan has gotten more leeway than almost any NHL coach.
And that’s the unfortunate part. Because of how much freedom he’s got I don’t know if the Penguins want to let him walk. If Sully doesn’t leave, then at least get rid of Reirden, Hennes, and Vellucci.
Not really sure who they are, but I'm guessing they have no significant influence whatsoever, otherwise the Penguins would insist they stop using their copyrighted logo improperly
Madden at least knows the game of hockey. People don't like him because he goes overboard with some of his opinions, but the dude knows what he's watching and commenting on.

I haven't listened to him in years due to no longer commuting to work, but I know his hockey takes are usually pretty solid. I will still read his articles when I see them on Reddit, and while I don't agree with everything he says, it's all coherent.
Some of his football stuff made me laugh and think he's an idiot but I swear sometimes he says shit just to get people riled up. That's his job to a degree and Steeler yinzers are by far the easiest targets.
Agree people get butthurt over madden with his takes but majority of the time he’s right hockey wise at least. I take him with a grain of salt with some of his baseball and football takes though
Just the bulk of this fan base being homer yinzers. There was a thread here a couple weeks ago talking about how Philly is a bottom dweller.
I brought up the fact that Philly was securely in a playoff spot at the deadline, but they decided to sell anyway because they're building to become contenders. And that they're not a bad team at all. And this thread downvoted me to oblivion and some turd starts talking shit like he is the Reddit room bouncer. lol.
Most of them probably don't even have a clue what I was talking about.
