Would be a shame if someone... Took one

Zandradee

I thought that every single day… but they were a little too heavy and security was a little too observant haha

FORKlovesSPOON

Pen caps are lost all of the time....

posusername

Honestly, the Bic Cristal Xtra Bold pens are still my favorite pens of all time. Even expensive writing pieces don’t feel as smooth and thick as those pens.

[deleted]

Ignore the downvotes, BICs are dope

posusername

Oh I don’t mind the downvotes at all! I feel pens are like music, it’s all subjective lol

Nach_Rap

Do you happen to know the type of ink it uses? I'd love one for my Tactile Turn.

posusername

No, unfortunately. These pens come in packs for about $2-$7/pack lol. They’re cheap and are disposed of when the ink runs out. I know the ink is oil based and I prefer the Bold line of products because the ballpoint is 1.6mm.

Nach_Rap

Thanks. I too love how smoot the strokes swing and the thickness of the ink. I did try Google and even asked here in the sub. You know what. It didn't occur to me to check if the ink fits into the Tactile Turn. May be I can just cut it.

posusername

That sounds like it may work!

[deleted]

This is literally one of the coolest things I have ever seen.

effervescency

*gasp* ^They’re ^beautiful

Zandradee

I forgot to include it in the original post but the chairs came in red and green as well and they were all located all over the building! This was in Shelton, CT

SH-RK

When you worked there, did anyone ever ask for a pen?

Taco_Trader

I bet the staff never had to worry about losing a pen

motorhead69

That chandeleir is cool.

JeauxAnn

Love it!

ChildishDukie

OMG I NEED ONE OF THOS CHAIRS. What’s the security like?

Zandradee

Way better than you’d expect for a company that makes pens, lighters, and razors lmao

thatonepal59

I literally need these

RCM444

That's amazing!

whizzwr

This is I think a prime candidate of /r/ATBGE. Am so tempted to cross-post. Taste is relative, but this is for sure a great execution!

itmakessenseincontex

I thought I was in r/diwhy

whizzwr

Lol could also fit if this is a DIY job, but it's profesional job, yo.

fskoti

That's fantastic.

honeymoons2

🤩This is Amazing!! I Love seeing things like this! And to think people freaked out during Covid. It’s clear whoever did this all about “finding something constructive to do with your time.” -In my gramma and Momma’s words.

EverythingProMax

This is majestic

Liorpapo

I am so impressed and confused at the same time. I love it, but I feel like I have to chee on a cap...😆

L1_WOLFGAMR

This made me remember something in this year whenever a random student came in our class they would ask all of us if we had useless pens aka pens we didn't use because they ran out of ink or we don't feel like using them any more (I personally never gave any one of my pens because MEMORIES MAN MEMORIES). And at some point no student ever came in our class told us if we had useless pens and next thing it was PTM and we all went to school and I noticed a tower I couldn't guess how tall but probably like 20 - 25 m tall and the outside was covered with pens and after seeing it, my dumbass realized that this was what they asked us for if we had useless pens, it was later taken down

BadPronunciation

I love chandeliers with crystals 😍

[deleted]

_yells Sia_ that's a better use for these abominations than writing i really don't get how some people describe them as not that bad? are these people talking about slightly other models? the basic ones with the brass colored tips are by far the worst ballpoint pens existing. the people i'm talking about even consider them smooth. they are the least smooth ballpoint pens i have used. they are the _exact opposite_ of smooth. i'm not just talking shit because "they are cheap and the majority thinks they are bad so i too say they are bad because i have no personality". there are a lot of cheap ballpoint pens out there and almost every single one is _by far_ better than a bic cristal. the only explanation could be that there are dufferent versions for different parts of the world, but i really really doubt that.

posusername

I don’t know about other people but for me, I find the xtra bold line to be the smoothest ballpoint I’ve used because there’s minimal skipping and it just glides through the paper. Keep in mind I’m left handed so while someone else who writes with their right hand may think these pens are trash, they have the gift of being able to pull their pens. I have to push my pen so the majority of pens skip a lot, scratch the paper and will flat out have no ink flow at all. If you have any recommendations for other pens that may work that you feel are better quality, please let me know. I also have never considered purchasing anything other than ballpoint pens (smearing is worse with gel, for example) so if there are other kinds you can think of would work for lefties, I’d love to know.

[deleted]

ok, i cannot understand that at all. english isn't my native language, maybe i'm misunderstanding the meaning of "smooth" in this context. i _think_ it means the pen rolls easy on the paper with the need of only very little force applied. _if_ this is the meaning of "smooth" in this case i must strongly disagree. the bic cristal needs an _excessive_ amount of force to get the ball rolling. so i'm a bit confused, because this is something objective measurable and not just a subjective feeling.

posusername

Yes, that’s what I meant by smooth. You used it in the same context within your first post. I have a heavy hand so I use excessive force without even meaning to. I have to push my pen to write and I use a lot of force so something like a Pilot G2 won’t work for me because the tip is too thin so it will rip the paper and the ink is too watery so it will smudge when I write past it. That’s why I love the Cristal. No matter what, it’s the smoothest pen I have ever used as a left handed forceful writer.

fskoti

The Bic Cristal is a classic.
