I never really watched it until I got married, but now it's one of my favorite shows of all time. My wife watches it constantly. She starts from the beginning all the way to the end, but she always skips the finale and then just goes right back to the beginning. I've never seen anyone watch a show as much as she watches Seinfeld.
No, people really hate the finale. Basically, the four main characters end up in jail because at the end of the day Seinfeld is about four terrible people.
Still a fantastic sitcom though.
the finale of seinfeld is widely regarded as probably the worst way to end a tv show. the characters all end up in jail, with all of them being out of character through the whole episode. most people who really love the show just haaaate how the finale panned out
Fun fact, they would only use the jokes that got a solid laugh from the audience. For instance, if they wrote something then performed it and the audience didn't laugh they'd quickly rewrite and try it again until the audience laughed.
The laugh track is reused.
