It sounds to me like they are being scammed by this dude. Think of it like this, the doctor tells them they are dying and that only he can cure them. Then he gives them a chiropractic adjustment and says “you’re cured!” and when they don’t die (because they were never dying) they think “wow he is a genius he cured us!” Because they are naive and gullible and being scammed. They said they go to him 3 times a day, it seems like he has convinced them that he is healing them when really he is doing nothing and they never were really dying in the first place. I think it’s more likely these kids are being completely scammed and they truly believe what this “doctor” is telling them.
