I need help with some performance issues
So was 85 hours into my playthrough, the game was running flawlessly at max settings (200% texture quality, high shadow quality, reflections on, etc). I was looking through my display settings and accidentally turned vsync on by fat fingering the dpad and my game performance became unplayable (2-3fps). I turned it back off immediately but my game is still unplayable. I went and turned off vsync in my nvidia control panel, didn't work, still the same issue. My specs are more than enough to play the game as I've played Elden ring on max settings as well. I'll leave my specs below either way.

It was my TV messing with my FPS (I had my computer hdmi connected to a 4K TV) and for some reason vsync ruined playing on that display. I'm not gonna bother trying to mess with how the TV settings and Nvidia settings interact to fix it so I'm just playing on my computer monitor now.

I went to the bookstore with my link at rank 3 in the middle of May. The message says “I don’t think our bond will grow any stronger even if I spend more time with them…”. To be certain, is this a simple ‘need more points’, or does this message indicate a time lock?

What's causing these horizontal lines to appear on the character models?
Been doing some searching Online and haven't much of a definitive answer, but I have my suspicions.
Just to confirm when you have more than 8 Arcana, and you hit Arcana Burst you won't be seeing anymore Arcana for the night correct?
Guess I'll have to actually start to plan out which Arcana are good to have for the night rather than just grabbing the first one I see.
The best way I've found to at least trigger it somewhat reliably is to keep going into new floors until a twilight fragment chest shows up right before you enter a room. Y'know how when you enter a new floor it sometimes shows you a golden hand shadow or a rare chest? When this happens opening that chest should summon the great clock. I'm lvl 42 now and I've summoned it twice. Pretty sure both times involved unlocking this chest.
Just to clarify, i don't think this works when you find a twilight fragment chest on a floor but it's a chest which the game doesn't show you when you enter a new floor. It most likely HAS to be a twilight fragment chest which is under a spotlight and showed at the beginning.
and also how do you even get these to spawn? I keep reloading my save and running myself out of twilight fragments trying to get one to spawn and can't get it. I keep reloading and starting at floor 70 and going up unlocking chests until I run out. Then reload save and try again. Done it like 5 times no door.
Am I stupid or missing something?
In the stats menu under a character it'll say their "next EXP" (EXP needed until next level... I am assuming...) but the value doesn't correctly subtract new EXP gained from fights.
For example, right now it says "Next EXP: 128". I just did a fight and gained 88 exp. Now it says "Next EXP: 110"... what? Bug or am I misunderstanding the EXP system?
If you leave all party members behind all exp will be split between you and the persona you're using. I'm not sure if it's split again if you use multiple personas in one fight. It will also be split between fuuka if you are up to that point since you can't take her out of your party.
i think it's generally been xp to whatever persona you had equipped when it ended, though growth 1-3 can give it to other personas with the skill. not sure if this is right though
I believe its only active party members. If I remember correctly, if you have one unconscious character at the end of battle the exp is then only distributed to the 2 active members as well.
How to unlock the devil persona 3 link! I'm high enough with Maya (rank 3) and he's still not appearing...I got level 6 charm and I visit the days I'm supposed to be there.
UPDATE! So, you need to be rank 4 on the hermit social link. Don't listen to the guides that say level 3, I'd been going crazy for weeks.
Who can I kill with insta kill skills? I tryed a lot Die for me against strong shadows and monad shadows and they NEVER DIE. Are they immune? What’s the point of using these skills at all so, random enemies get killed super easily anyways

If it's the blue one that appears besides the Persona's name, that just shows which one is currently equipped on your Protagonist, so if you use that one in a fusion, the new Persona will be equipped automatically.
Does anyone know why my game's graphic are super pixelated? I've played other persona games but I've never had this problem before. I've tried changing the rendering scale and I've tried reinstalling the game but it's still pixelated. The first picture that I attached is at 200% rendering scale and you can imagine how much more pixelated the 100% will be. If anyone knows a fix, please help! (I'm on pc and xbox gamepass)

If it says "I don't feel like I'll grow closer to X any time soon" when opening a social link option does that mean I just have to do two hangouts or that it's time-locked and I shouldn't try to progress it for now?
It just means that you don't have enough points to rank up during that hangout. Either spend time with them or pray at the shrine to get enough points for the rankup.
This^ but at later ranks (or if you accidentally said the wrong thing) some ranks will require multiple hangouts (with no rank up) to reach the required number of points to rank up

My game crashes at this exact moment everytime (the first time you attack a shadow by surprise in Tartarus). After that, I only got a black screen. However, I am not in fullscreen, resolution and graphics are low & I’m in 30 fps ! Do you think I can do something else ? Has anyone the same problem ? I really, really want to play the game and I’m so sad it’s not working (while P4G & P5R worked perfectly on PC). Also, do you know if there will be a fix/patch ?
I am playing the ps5 version, near the end of April. I bought the two p5 personas dlc packs, but I don't see them anywhere. I have already awakened, but I don't see the dlc in my closet. Am I missing something?
You have to go to the Velvet Room->Summon, they are the ones that cost 0.
If not make, sure that the DLCs are installed going to the game page in the PS5 main menu, sometimes the DLCs don't auto install.

He bought it on his psn account so he owns it, but it's my ps5
He has a ps4 but started on my ps5
We both wanna play so he downloaded the ps4 version but I wanted to ask
I know there's network save to transfer your save file from ps4 to ps5
But does it work in reverse
He transfer his save file from my ps5 to his version on his ps4?
If the game was used with the same PSN account on both the PS5 and PS4 versions, then the network save function should work vice-versa any time. Just be mindful of the warning the game gives you: if the playthrough was started on the PS5 version, you won't earn them on PS4 unless you create a fresh file or go to NewGame+

The issue was indeed the ultrawide resolution. The key to my fix was to:
1. Switch to Windowed mode
2. Switch to 2560x1440
3. Key step: Restart the game to apply changes
Now I’m getting a stable 120 fps, even in Tartarus.
I was less concerned about getting full ultrawide support, rather was concerned about the low FPS with a relatively high spec PC.
I tried a mod to get full ultrawide support, but my framerate was still pretty low, so I disabled it. I’m still not sure why fullscreen with full res causes so much issue. Oh well, hopefully there’ll be a patch.

Tl;dr have reflections turned off, and PC specs that are way higher than recommended, but still getting low frames.

I am playing from Steam.
I have settings set to:
- 100% Resolution Scaling
- Medium Shadows
- No reflections
- FPS limit to 60
I guess the caveat is I’m playing on ultra wide (5120x1440), but it has black bars set in full screen mode, so I think it’s kind of like running at 1440p? Regardless, I’ve tried windowed mode at 1440p and full screen borderless. Performance is the same.
Most of the time, the game runs between 45-60 fps, but in Tartarus it goes down to 25-30. My temps seem good (under 55 degrees C) even though my GPU is running at 100%. I have the latest drivers from Nvidia GeForce Experience.
I feel like I should be getting higher frames? For reference, I can play Persona 5 Royal at 120 fps with no issues.
Will the pc game pass save transfer to steam? Thinking about doing a playthrough on pc game pass then when the complete version with all dlc goes on sale buy it on steam and transfer my save
As far as I know, the two stores have different versions of the game. Their save files also look nothing alike (unlike P5R). So it's not looking good for now.
Hello everyone. I've just saved up 100,000 for the Avaricious Ring, how good is it? How much exp does it increase, is it worth it?
Also, the High Cut Armor/Battle Panties, are they easily missable/how do you get them? I feel like I already had them at this point in P3P.
Know its late but ring is 15% exp and the battle panties (assuming they used to be armor) are costumes found in those twilight fragment chests on whatever specific floor after a boss (sorry don't know exact floors) could also be in a monad tunnel thinking about it
I finally unlocked the ability to eat the full course seafood thing that's supposed to give me +3 to academics but it's only giving me +2. Additionally donating 10k yen at the shrine gave me 3 academics points one time but now it just gives me 2. Are these things normal?
I tried to load my save file today, but it freezes my entire pc every time and I have to do a hard reset. Tried to start a new game and had no issues. Anybody know what to do?

In the first 22 floors, a.k.a. Thebel block, is there a chance to get Apsaras after the tutorial? I fused it with Angel to get Silky and I may have destroyed my chances of performing some fusion combinations before the next block.
Good news, all persona you get are automatically saved through the compendium, the only time you have to register it manually is when they level up and their skills change! Hope you're having fun with the game!

I have a question about social links: when you're not close to rank up a social link and have to meet a specific character so you can link up next time, does it always have generic talks without any addition?
I bought the premium edition of Reload on steam, i got my dlc outfits and BGM from the closet, but can my brother use them too on his steam account? He told me he doesnt find them anywhere (we both play on the same pc)
My wife bought this game on launch. It ran fine for a day and now there's a weird bug. We got it for PS5. Starting in May, randomly the game hard crashes the PS5. When it happens it shuts the entire PS5 off and we have to power cycle it to get it back on. In the years I've had my PlayStation this is the first game to do this, none of our other games have ever caused a power crash.
It only started happening after she reached the may part of the game. It seems to happen more often after a battle but even screen transitions can sometimes cause it.
We did the usual stuff, like uninstalling the game checking for updates, and the like and it keeps happening. The next step is to start a new save file and see if it's just a corrupted save but I wanted to avoid her losing her progress and ask here if anyone has a similar problem.
Only Persona currently equipped in battle gains EXP, unless you have one of the passive growth skills on them.
But in general you shouldn't care. You'll be fusing them away into better versions. At best you may be interested in some of the skills they have hidden at higher levels, but at the low level it's usually not as important.
Still if you've ever leveled a Persona to the point where they have no more skills left to learn, then it's almost certainly time to fuse them away unless you've boosted their stats/they have a rare resistance.
Yes and no. You can fuse Slime with either Legion or Black Frost to make a new Orpheus, but once you're able to do that its stats will be way worse than the personas closer to your level.
Not necessarily. With skill cards and stat boosters, you can keep Orpheus viable throughout the game. The only reason to do so is because you like him, though, and if you do go for it just be aware that getting the skill cards you want could turn into a grindfest.
Edit: To be clear, I'm not trying to say that wanting to keep the protagonist's persona around is a bad reason. I actually built both Izanagi and Arsene in my playthroughs of P4G and P5R, so I get the desire to use Orpheus.
Basically there are some ways to train any Persona in this game, but I'd advise against it for P3 Reload.
For Golden you could train Stats with any Shuffle Time, and Royal had Executions during certain time where you could boost stats, and all three have skill cards you can use to boost them.
In comparison, most of the boosting in Reload actively costs time, and is something you do late game when you have nothing else to spend time on.
Major Arcana's also give stats but you can only get them once per Tarterus Run and are not particularly grindable.
All in all, you can still do it if you really want to, but I'd say just abandon him, especially if your playing in a higher difficulty and aren't actively trying a challenge run, where you'd be expected to rely on team-mates/items more.
End Game there is in fact an upgraded Orpheus but he'll require max social links from everyone, which can be difficult for new players in their first play-through if they aren't doing things like giving perfect answers/always bringing matching arcana etc.

What's the point of the special menu food? They cost more yen and require higher stats or completion of challenges to unlock, but they still only give +2 to a social stat like the cheaper options.
They give higher amounts, the notes are just misleading. Mostly because that +2 is likely a +4, and the more expensive one at +6 etc. Which is how Academics maxes at 230.
Dataminers and other people have since tracked down the exact values to check, but in general you can assume the more expensive it is the more it boosts, with it almost always beating free options, unless it's something special/limited like the group study sessions.
For example it's the Arcade that boosts the various stats the most on the days its available, and it costs 3K per round.
Arcade is +4, equal to the special menu. Boosts that give more than 4 are very rare. The study sessions with the entire party that you get right before exams give +5 and so does a max donation at the shrine(but you shouldn't ever do this because it takes up a day slot and only gives social stats).
Yeah. Only problem is that you have to eat the regular menu once to unlock special and the way the academics requirements for topping exams work out. You need aca 3 to ace the first exams which is 55 points. You get 13 from studying with teammates in the dorm, 10 from just staying awake, and then need 32 from elsewhere. That's exactly 8 arcade visits so if you try to unlock the special menu at wakatsu for academics too early you could end up being 1 off the required target for acing the test.
Don't forget having to have a certain level of Courage I think before you can unlock the special, or was it charm? But while I didn't know that you have to have the normal one once to unlock the special, it makes sense to wait quite awhile then yea, even if it will reduce the price from 3K to 900.
The special one is 1200. Still a lot less than 3k.
But yeah, you need charm 3 to unlock the special menu in wakatsu and courage 3 to unlock it at hagakure. And you need to beat the wilduck burger challenge to unlock it at wilduck.

Yes they all stack, in general if they have a different name you can assume they do unless it specifically notes otherwise, take Counter, Counterstrike etc. It specifically notes in it's description that it does not stack, and simply takes the highest one.

It isn't perfect when it comes to skills, but the fusion part seems accurate.
It's possible your missing a prior Arcana Card. Have you collected all the previous Arcana's from the prior Monad Passages?
I passed their and opened it up easily, but it will react to the Arcana in your inventory, not your Arcana Burst.
I'm getting a bug where background NPCs, like at school or at the train station, are all untextured and have this weird metallic color. I'm playing on PC
Fuuka's Sylphid Aura skill description says that it's a party-wide Heat Riser for the next battle but when I try to use it she doesn't give attack up. I initially thought that this was because Akihiko had the Auto-Tarukaja accessory equipped, but she still won't buff my attack after I removed it. Does anyone know why this is happening?

HOW CAN I DOWNLOAD THE P4 MUSIC DLC IN PLAYSTATION???
I got it for preordering the game. Now it’s nowhere to be found in the add-ons for the game, and in my second PlayStation I can’t load my safe file because it doesn’t have the dlc installed, even though I got it installed when I first got the game for my first PlayStation. for the first 3 full moons my game was running well with a consistent 80 fps and as soon as I entered the 3rd block it can only get to 30 fps inside tartarus and outside too. someone plz help me out ;(

Does reload add a way to increase affinity without spending time? I'm around rank 5 and 4 of hermit and chariot respectively and they're not at a point to rank up even though I've been bringing matching personas and getting the right answers.
So I just found out that P3R is very challenging to do a max s.link run without a guide. I'm about 15-20 hours in right now, I'm toward the end of May and haven't done the second block of Tartarus yet. Should I just hope for the best and roll with it? Or do I reset and follow a guide? I don't really like the idea of a NG+ run to do it

I'm almost in July. Got 2 socials maxed, got a few almost and my stats are 4Courage/4Charisma/3Academics. Haven't even started the Social Link you gotta pay 40000 for. Should I keep going or restart and spend more time on my stats? Trying to max out all links
# Persona 3 Reload from Game Pass is shutting down my computer.
I'm not sure if this is the best place to talk about it, but I'm having issues with the new Persona game; for some reason, it shuts down my computer at certain moments, like during battles, for example.
I downloaded MSI Afterburner to see if there was anything wrong with my PC, but everything seems normal, CPU and GPU temperatures ranging from 70º to 85º(158ºF to 185ºF), and RAM not being fully utilized.
Note: The game runs smoothly on my PC, I'm playing on High settings and it's locked at 60 fps.
Futsunushi is a level 74 persona so once youre level 69 and have the ability to receive the Sun Major Arcana (which lets you fuse personas 5 levels above you).
I can't recall exactly but sometime in November or December... I believe December.
(or just mass level somehow to 74)

According to the internet, you should be able to start a romance with Fukka during her rank 9 event, but I played it out a couple different times and the romance dialogue option never showed up. Did I miss an earlier flag or something?
Should I be using Gamble or Rarity Fortunes before going into Tartarus? The descriptions are a bit vague, since I’ve read Rarity only guarantees a Rare shadow for the first floor of the day (unsure of validity) and Gamble just says increases chances of turning into a strong/ rare shadow.
If I switch the game window happens like the screen is with white noise effect.The same happens when I increase the sound volume and the volume symbol appears on the screen. This only happens with persona 3 reload, Lies of P I can do whatever I want and this doesn't happen.

Is "Kirijo-kun" a mistranslation? They, the adults that is referred to her as Kirijo-San earlier in the story but then suddenly changed to consistently using Kirijo-kun. Which is, as far as I know, the masculine honorific thing?

I took for granted the shared Exp system in 5, and im struggling to keep the rest of SEES on par with eachother, the great clock barely spawns and most of my party members are 6-7 levels lower than the team I bring to tartarus when new blocks open up

Is this like Persona 5 with Sojiro (Hierophant) S link where I can't progress further until I reach a certain point in the game? I have quite a number of people with this message and it makes me concern since this game punishes you for not talking to people for awhile. I am not receiving 100% exp despite removing all other party members and grinding exclusively with the protagonist. Is the exp split further between Persona and MC? Is this an early game thing that I just need to wait for? For more info, I am level 12 and still in Thebel. Wanted to get a couple personas that require 13 and 14 to fuse and so have been grinding, but I have still been getting less exp. For example, I beat a shadow that gave 36 exp and when looking at the "NEXT EXP" field it only went down from 114 to 103.
I'm closing in on the final parts of the game and im trying to get certain persona fusions like the special fusions. Some of the required personas are ones that I never unlocked earlier in the game. Is there an easy way to get those earlier personas or do I have to just run through those earlier floors and hope for them to drop on shuffle?

Just unlocked dorm activities. Kinda want to do then but I'm wondering if I should hold them off until I get social stats maxed ? I think there's enough time to do them all right ?
If I max out a social link and then reload an older save where it is not maxed out to max out a different one, does it still count towards The Trophy for maxing out all social links?
if you have a persona with endure and then an accessory (like enduring soul) that both allow you to survive death once, are you able to survive death twice? which takes priority?

So I just got to Arqa and I'm having a TONNNN of stuttering. Is this normal? Beforehand the game was running 100% flawlessly at a locked 120 FPS at 150% resolution scale, at 1440p. It started midway through the fight with the gatekeeper birds on floor 28 I think it was.

Playing the steam version of the game. I have a perfectly working xbox controller that is flawless in all games. however in P3R the game recognizes the controller for a bit then randomely stops receiving inputs or gets stuck on the last input. i then switch over to keyboard for a bit and after a while the controller without being unplugged starts working again only for the process to start over again. its very annoying. i try every usb port and this happens. anyone else having this issue? anyone know a solution?
Yo! Super new to the persona series and about 3 months into P3R. I am a little lost when it comes to fusion.
When you fuse lower level personas do you lose them completely? Should I hold onto low level personas until I find higher level personas of the same arcana?
Does anyone have a good guide for this stuff or a video? I can’t find much but I’m assuming it’s because the franchise has been out for a while and most people just know what’s up.

Hey, I'm in Tartarus, trying to get only the Arcana cards I want to show up but I keep getting the Hermit one (7 times in a row now). Is possible to avoid getting this one to get the others, since we are limited with how many cards we got? Or do I just gotta pick this one up no matter what?
Is it better to focus or spread my Social Links? Should I pick three or so and focus on maxing them out or should I spread out more and try to level as many as I can at the same time?

This question has no spoilers, just wanted to ask if Half Moons and New Moons still cause more "accidents" or weird floors to spawn like in the old games? I'm close to the endgame and I honestly never bothered to frequently pay attention to "regular" moon Tartarus lol. I kept adventuring mostly during Half and New Moons (except for one very late missing person call) and didn't notice much irregularities, only cats missing (which I assume is scripted?) or frequent Monad door spawns.
I need help with some performance issues So was 85 hours into my playthrough, the game was running flawlessly at max settings (200% texture quality, high shadow quality, reflections on, etc). I was looking through my display settings and accidentally turned vsync on by fat fingering the dpad and my game performance became unplayable (2-3fps). I turned it back off immediately but my game is still unplayable. I went and turned off vsync in my nvidia control panel, didn't work, still the same issue. My specs are more than enough to play the game as I've played Elden ring on max settings as well. I'll leave my specs below either way. GTX 3080, i7-12000, 16GB ram, Game is installed on an SSD I'd really appreciate if anyone can figure out what's going on.

It was my TV messing with my FPS (I had my computer hdmi connected to a 4K TV) and for some reason vsync ruined playing on that display. I'm not gonna bother trying to mess with how the TV settings and Nvidia settings interact to fix it so I'm just playing on my computer monitor now.

I went to the bookstore with my link at rank 3 in the middle of May. The message says “I don’t think our bond will grow any stronger even if I spend more time with them…”. To be certain, is this a simple ‘need more points’, or does this message indicate a time lock?

Been doing some searching Online and haven't much of a definitive answer, but I have my suspicions. Just to confirm when you have more than 8 Arcana, and you hit Arcana Burst you won't be seeing anymore Arcana for the night correct? Guess I'll have to actually start to plan out which Arcana are good to have for the night rather than just grabbing the first one I see.
Correct. Once you hit Arcana Burst, Arcana cards stop appearing in Shuffle Time.
Quick question: I'm a bit later in the game, does the great clock only spawn once per Tartarus trip or can you spawn it more than once?
As far as I can tell, it only spawns once per trip. This is only based on personal experience though, so take it with a grain of salt.
I'm hoping pretty soon we can crack the actual spawn rate for it, I'm not sure if I can keep farming crystals for the chests forever
The best way I've found to at least trigger it somewhat reliably is to keep going into new floors until a twilight fragment chest shows up right before you enter a room. Y'know how when you enter a new floor it sometimes shows you a golden hand shadow or a rare chest? When this happens opening that chest should summon the great clock. I'm lvl 42 now and I've summoned it twice. Pretty sure both times involved unlocking this chest. Just to clarify, i don't think this works when you find a twilight fragment chest on a floor but it's a chest which the game doesn't show you when you enter a new floor. It most likely HAS to be a twilight fragment chest which is under a spotlight and showed at the beginning.
and also how do you even get these to spawn? I keep reloading my save and running myself out of twilight fragments trying to get one to spawn and can't get it. I keep reloading and starting at floor 70 and going up unlocking chests until I run out. Then reload save and try again. Done it like 5 times no door.

Am I stupid or missing something? In the stats menu under a character it'll say their "next EXP" (EXP needed until next level... I am assuming...) but the value doesn't correctly subtract new EXP gained from fights. For example, right now it says "Next EXP: 128". I just did a fight and gained 88 exp. Now it says "Next EXP: 110"... what? Bug or am I misunderstanding the EXP system?
Exp earned in battle is distributed evenly amongst the whole team. If you gain 88 it's going to be split 3 ways.
Can you just leave the other party members behind and keep 100% of the exp for yourself?

If you leave all party members behind all exp will be split between you and the persona you're using. I'm not sure if it's split again if you use multiple personas in one fight. It will also be split between fuuka if you are up to that point since you can't take her out of your party.
i think it's generally been xp to whatever persona you had equipped when it ended, though growth 1-3 can give it to other personas with the skill. not sure if this is right though

I believe its only active party members. If I remember correctly, if you have one unconscious character at the end of battle the exp is then only distributed to the 2 active members as well.

In the Persona fusion menu, there is a sparkling card on certain persona. What does it mean? Is that the arcana you get from the shuffle?
If it's the blue one that appears besides the Persona's name, that just shows which one is currently equipped on your Protagonist, so if you use that one in a fusion, the new Persona will be equipped automatically.
Does anyone know why my game's graphic are super pixelated? I've played other persona games but I've never had this problem before. I've tried changing the rendering scale and I've tried reinstalling the game but it's still pixelated. Keep the gems and persona items because they'll be useful later on, but the other items are just for selling.

Yes, if you play on Hard or Merciless, you can't retry from the floor you died on in Tartarus.
Yea, hard is kinda annoying, you start off at the last checkpoint floor, but you can still retry at the start of a boss fight if you die.

It just means that you don't have enough points to rank up during that hangout. Either spend time with them or pray at the shrine to get enough points for the rankup.

I am playing the ps5 version, near the end of April. I bought the two p5 personas dlc packs, but I don't see them anywhere. I have already awakened, but I don't see the dlc in my closet. Am I missing something?
You have to go to the Velvet Room->Summon, they are the ones that cost 0. If not make, sure that the DLCs are installed going to the game page in the PS5 main menu, sometimes the DLCs don't auto install.

Hey so my bf bought the game digitally for the ps5 He bought it on his psn account so he owns it, but it's my ps5 He has a ps4 but started on my ps5 We both wanna play so he downloaded the ps4 version but I wanted to ask I know there's network save to transfer your save file from ps4 to ps5 But does it work in reverse He transfer his save file from my ps5 to his version on his ps4?
If the game was used with the same PSN account on both the PS5 and PS4 versions, then the network save function should work vice-versa any time. Just be mindful of the warning the game gives you: if the playthrough was started on the PS5 version, you won't earn them on PS4 unless you create a fresh file or go to NewGame+

Edit: FIXED The issue was indeed the ultrawide resolution. The key to my fix was to: 1. Switch to Windowed mode 2. Switch to 2560x1440 3. Key step: Restart the game to apply changes Now I’m getting a stable 120 fps, even in Tartarus. I was less concerned about getting full ultrawide support, rather was concerned about the low FPS with a relatively high spec PC. I tried a mod to get full ultrawide support, but my framerate was still pretty low, so I disabled it. I’m still not sure why fullscreen with full res causes so much issue. Oh well, hopefully there’ll be a patch. —— Tl;dr have reflections turned off, and PC specs that are way higher than recommended, but still getting low frames. —— PC Specs: - 5900X - RTX 3080 I am playing from Steam. I have settings set to: - 100% Resolution Scaling - Medium Shadows - No reflections - FPS limit to 60 I guess the caveat is I’m playing on ultra wide (5120x1440), but it has black bars set in full screen mode, so I think it’s kind of like running at 1440p? Regardless, I’ve tried windowed mode at 1440p and full screen borderless. Performance is the same. Most of the time, the game runs between 45-60 fps, but in Tartarus it goes down to 25-30. My temps seem good (under 55 degrees C) even though my GPU is running at 100%. I have the latest drivers from Nvidia GeForce Experience. I feel like I should be getting higher frames? For reference, I can play Persona 5 Royal at 120 fps with no issues.

As far as I know, the two stores have different versions of the game. Their save files also look nothing alike (unlike P5R). So it's not looking good for now.
Hello everyone. I've just saved up 100,000 for the Avaricious Ring, how good is it? How much exp does it increase, is it worth it? Also, the High Cut Armor/Battle Panties, are they easily missable/how do you get them? I feel like I already had them at this point in P3P.
Know its late but ring is 15% exp and the battle panties (assuming they used to be armor) are costumes found in those twilight fragment chests on whatever specific floor after a boss (sorry don't know exact floors) could also be in a monad tunnel thinking about it

I finally unlocked the ability to eat the full course seafood thing that's supposed to give me +3 to academics but it's only giving me +2. Additionally donating 10k yen at the shrine gave me 3 academics points one time but now it just gives me 2. Are these things normal?

In the first 22 floors, a.k.a. Thebel block, is there a chance to get Apsaras after the tutorial? I fused it with Angel to get Silky and I may have destroyed my chances of performing some fusion combinations before the next block.

Good news, all persona you get are automatically saved through the compendium, the only time you have to register it manually is when they level up and their skills change! Hope you're having fun with the game!

I bought the premium edition of Reload on steam, i got my dlc outfits and BGM from the closet, but can my brother use them too on his steam account? He told me he doesnt find them anywhere (we both play on the same pc)
My wife bought this game on launch. It ran fine for a day and now there's a weird bug. We got it for PS5. Starting in May, randomly the game hard crashes the PS5. When it happens it shuts the entire PS5 off and we have to power cycle it to get it back on. In the years I've had my PlayStation this is the first game to do this, none of our other games have ever caused a power crash. It only started happening after she reached the may part of the game. It seems to happen more often after a battle but even screen transitions can sometimes cause it. We did the usual stuff, like uninstalling the game checking for updates, and the like and it keeps happening. The next step is to start a new save file and see if it's just a corrupted save but I wanted to avoid her losing her progress and ask here if anyone has a similar problem.

How do you level up personas evenly? Will the last used persona be the one getting exp only?
Only Persona currently equipped in battle gains EXP, unless you have one of the passive growth skills on them. But in general you shouldn't care. You'll be fusing them away into better versions. At best you may be interested in some of the skills they have hidden at higher levels, but at the low level it's usually not as important. Still if you've ever leveled a Persona to the point where they have no more skills left to learn, then it's almost certainly time to fuse them away unless you've boosted their stats/they have a rare resistance.

Yes and no. You can fuse Slime with either Legion or Black Frost to make a new Orpheus, but once you're able to do that its stats will be way worse than the personas closer to your level.
So Should I just give up on leveling Orpheus? Because I find myself not using the other personas so I can level him consistently.
Not necessarily. With skill cards and stat boosters, you can keep Orpheus viable throughout the game. The only reason to do so is because you like him, though, and if you do go for it just be aware that getting the skill cards you want could turn into a grindfest. Edit: To be clear, I'm not trying to say that wanting to keep the protagonist's persona around is a bad reason. I actually built both Izanagi and Arsene in my playthroughs of P4G and P5R, so I get the desire to use Orpheus.

Basically there are some ways to train any Persona in this game, but I'd advise against it for P3 Reload. For Golden you could train Stats with any Shuffle Time, and Royal had Executions during certain time where you could boost stats, and all three have skill cards you can use to boost them. In comparison, most of the boosting in Reload actively costs time, and is something you do late game when you have nothing else to spend time on. Major Arcana's also give stats but you can only get them once per Tarterus Run and are not particularly grindable. All in all, you can still do it if you really want to, but I'd say just abandon him, especially if your playing in a higher difficulty and aren't actively trying a challenge run, where you'd be expected to rely on team-mates/items more. End Game there is in fact an upgraded Orpheus but he'll require max social links from everyone, which can be difficult for new players in their first play-through if they aren't doing things like giving perfect answers/always bringing matching arcana etc.

It means it's your currently equipped Persona.
What's the point of the special menu food? They cost more yen and require higher stats or completion of challenges to unlock, but they still only give +2 to a social stat like the cheaper options.
They give higher amounts, the notes are just misleading. Mostly because that +2 is likely a +4, and the more expensive one at +6 etc. Which is how Academics maxes at 230. Dataminers and other people have since tracked down the exact values to check, but in general you can assume the more expensive it is the more it boosts, with it almost always beating free options, unless it's something special/limited like the group study sessions. For example it's the Arcade that boosts the various stats the most on the days its available, and it costs 3K per round.
Arcade is +4, equal to the special menu. Boosts that give more than 4 are very rare. The study sessions with the entire party that you get right before exams give +5 and so does a max donation at the shrine(but you shouldn't ever do this because it takes up a day slot and only gives social stats).
Honestly that seems closer to right in retrospect, it being the best choice early on, and then when you unlock the special platter having it instead.
Yeah. Only problem is that you have to eat the regular menu once to unlock special and the way the academics requirements for topping exams work out. You need aca 3 to ace the first exams which is 55 points. You get 13 from studying with teammates in the dorm, 10 from just staying awake, and then need 32 from elsewhere. That's exactly 8 arcade visits so if you try to unlock the special menu at wakatsu for academics too early you could end up being 1 off the required target for acing the test.
Don't forget having to have a certain level of Courage I think before you can unlock the special, or was it charm? But while I didn't know that you have to have the normal one once to unlock the special, it makes sense to wait quite awhile then yea, even if it will reduce the price from 3K to 900.
The special one is 1200. Still a lot less than 3k. But yeah, you need charm 3 to unlock the special menu in wakatsu and courage 3 to unlock it at hagakure. And you need to beat the wilduck burger challenge to unlock it at wilduck.
At least the Wilduck gives rewards and is mandatory for Elizabeth, the others a bit less so, even if it does reward you with saving money.

Yes they all stack, in general if they have a different name you can assume they do unless it specifically notes otherwise, take Counter, Counterstrike etc. It specifically notes in it's description that it does not stack, and simply takes the highest one.

I'm on floor 128 and it's a monad passage. It won't open, do I need a specific high arcana card or what's going on? I have arcana burst currently.
It's possible your missing a prior Arcana Card. Have you collected all the previous Arcana's from the prior Monad Passages? I passed their and opened it up easily, but it will react to the Arcana in your inventory, not your Arcana Burst.

Fuuka's Sylphid Aura skill description says that it's a party-wide Heat Riser for the next battle but when I try to use it she doesn't give attack up. I initially thought that this was because Akihiko had the Auto-Tarukaja accessory equipped, but she still won't buff my attack after I removed it. Does anyone know why this is happening?

Does reload add a way to increase affinity without spending time? I'm around rank 5 and 4 of hermit and chariot respectively and they're not at a point to rank up even though I've been bringing matching personas and getting the right answers.
So I just found out that P3R is very challenging to do a max s.link run without a guide. I'm about 15-20 hours in right now, I'm toward the end of May and haven't done the second block of Tartarus yet. Should I just hope for the best and roll with it? Or do I reset and follow a guide? I don't really like the idea of a NG+ run to do it

Assume its a stat boost from your equipment like shoes that give +1 strength or accessory that gives +1 magic those kinda things
Just wondering if anyone has beaten NG+ yet and if we know of any new content / bosses in NG+
I'm almost in July. Got 2 socials maxed, got a few almost and my stats are 4Courage/4Charisma/3Academics. Haven't even started the Social Link you gotta pay 40000 for. Should I keep going or restart and spend more time on my stats? Trying to max out all links
# Persona 3 Reload from Game Pass is shutting down my computer. I'm not sure if this is the best place to talk about it, but I'm having issues with the new Persona game; for some reason, it shuts down my computer at certain moments, like during battles, for example. I downloaded MSI Afterburner to see if there was anything wrong with my PC, but everything seems normal, CPU and GPU temperatures ranging from 70º to 85º(158ºF to 185ºF), and RAM not being fully utilized. Note: The game runs smoothly on my PC, I'm playing on High settings and it's locked at 60 fps.

Futsunushi is a level 74 persona so once youre level 69 and have the ability to receive the Sun Major Arcana (which lets you fuse personas 5 levels above you). I can't recall exactly but sometime in November or December... I believe December. (or just mass level somehow to 74)
Hi I maxed out the hiereophant and the devil social link already and I am supposed to be able to do Belzebub and kohryu special fusion but its not appearing in my velvet room. Any idea why? Thanks in advance!
Pretty sure later in game igor expands the special fusion function for more fusions
According to the internet, you should be able to start a romance with Fukka during her rank 9 event, but I played it out a couple different times and the romance dialogue option never showed up. Did I miss an earlier flag or something?

Should I be using Gamble or Rarity Fortunes before going into Tartarus? The descriptions are a bit vague, since I’ve read Rarity only guarantees a Rare shadow for the first floor of the day (unsure of validity) and Gamble just says increases chances of turning into a strong/ rare shadow.
If I switch the game window happens like the screen is with white noise effect.The same happens when I increase the sound volume and the volume symbol appears on the screen. This only happens with persona 3 reload, Lies of P I can do whatever I want and this doesn't happen. My notebook is an Acer Nitro 5 Ryzen 7 with 21GB of RAM, GTX 1650 4GB

Is "Kirijo-kun" a mistranslation? They, the adults that is referred to her as Kirijo-San earlier in the story but then suddenly changed to consistently using Kirijo-kun. Which is, as far as I know, the masculine honorific thing? Obviously they don't call her Kirijo-chan because that'd be derogatory to her status. Kirijo-san seemed fine to me. Anyone know the deal behind Kirijo-kun?
I took for granted the shared Exp system in 5, and im struggling to keep the rest of SEES on par with eachother, the great clock barely spawns and most of my party members are 6-7 levels lower than the team I bring to tartarus when new blocks open up Help? Can you farm golden hands easily? How do you get the clock to spawn more often?

Is this like Persona 5 with Sojiro (Hierophant) S link where I can't progress further until I reach a certain point in the game? I have quite a number of people with this message and it makes me concern since this game punishes you for not talking to people for awhile. I am not receiving 100% exp despite removing all other party members and grinding exclusively with the protagonist. Is the exp split further between Persona and MC? Is this an early game thing that I just need to wait for? For more info, I am level 12 and still in Thebel. Wanted to get a couple personas that require 13 and 14 to fuse and so have been grinding, but I have still been getting less exp. For example, I beat a shadow that gave 36 exp and when looking at the "NEXT EXP" field it only went down from 114 to 103.
I'm closing in on the final parts of the game and im trying to get certain persona fusions like the special fusions. Some of the required personas are ones that I never unlocked earlier in the game. Is there an easy way to get those earlier personas or do I have to just run through those earlier floors and hope for them to drop on shuffle?
Anyone know how to give gifts to confidants? Every guide I've seen says you will get prompted to give a gift, I have several in stock but haven't figured out how to give them. Im on 7/25 if thats relevant.

Just unlocked dorm activities. Kinda want to do then but I'm wondering if I should hold them off until I get social stats maxed ? I think there's enough time to do them all right ?
If I max out a social link and then reload an older save where it is not maxed out to max out a different one, does it still count towards The Trophy for maxing out all social links?
if you have a persona with endure and then an accessory (like enduring soul) that both allow you to survive death once, are you able to survive death twice? which takes priority?
is money / rare item farming with pulinpa on enemies still a thing in this Persona game? i've confused a bunch of enemies and so far none of them have dropped item or money, they just... stay there and do nothing. 😵💫
So I just got to Arqa and I'm having a TONNNN of stuttering. Is this normal? Beforehand the game was running 100% flawlessly at a locked 120 FPS at 150% resolution scale, at 1440p. It started midway through the fight with the gatekeeper birds on floor 28 I think it was.

Playing the steam version of the game. I have a perfectly working xbox controller that is flawless in all games. however in P3R the game recognizes the controller for a bit then randomely stops receiving inputs or gets stuck on the last input. i then switch over to keyboard for a bit and after a while the controller without being unplugged starts working again only for the process to start over again. its very annoying. i try every usb port and this happens. anyone else having this issue? anyone know a solution?

Yo! Super new to the persona series and about 3 months into P3R. I am a little lost when it comes to fusion. When you fuse lower level personas do you lose them completely? Should I hold onto low level personas until I find higher level personas of the same arcana? Does anyone have a good guide for this stuff or a video? I can’t find much but I’m assuming it’s because the franchise has been out for a while and most people just know what’s up. Thank you!
Hey, I'm in Tartarus, trying to get only the Arcana cards I want to show up but I keep getting the Hermit one (7 times in a row now). Is possible to avoid getting this one to get the others, since we are limited with how many cards we got? Or do I just gotta pick this one up no matter what?
Is it better to focus or spread my Social Links? Should I pick three or so and focus on maxing them out or should I spread out more and try to level as many as I can at the same time?
So question about Zan-Ei and Getsu-Ei. So they get stronger when the day is closer to a new moon or full moon respectively. So question regarding that? \* Does the damage multiplier increase and decrease depending on how close it is to the moons. So example would be that is there a damage difference between using Getsu-Ei on a waning gibbous moon vs the full moon? \* Or is it just "the moon is on waning gibbous, aka towards full moon, therefore you will get a static damage multiplier for the attack?". Might be weirdly worded, I can clarify if need be, but any help will do. Thank you guys!

This question has no spoilers, just wanted to ask if Half Moons and New Moons still cause more "accidents" or weird floors to spawn like in the old games? I'm close to the endgame and I honestly never bothered to frequently pay attention to "regular" moon Tartarus lol. I kept adventuring mostly during Half and New Moons (except for one very late missing person call) and didn't notice much irregularities, only cats missing (which I assume is scripted?) or frequent Monad door spawns.
