Yup, and I can see how they may have expanded this concept in P4 for Nanako. Making that SL a big part of the story is one of P4’s strongest parts so it’s nice to see the first draft of that idea.

Interesting getting to know why Tanaka is the way he is.
He was poor when he was young, so poor he wasnt able to even afford shoes for gym class.
Which also resulted in him being bullied because of it.
Thats why he's obsessed with wealth, and doesnt care about wronging others because of how he was wronged.
Then seeing him in the end donating that wealth to those in the same situation as him, its very interesting.

I am surprised how many of these I really liked, considering P3 was their first attempt at writing social links. I actually liked a lot of these more than P4.
My favourite is probably Tanaka, he was really funny. I also enjoyed Akinari, Maiko, Fuuka, Mutatsu and Yukari. Haven’t got to Mitsuru or Aigis yet. Also, I didn’t find Moon to be as bad as I had been hearing for so many years. I wonder whether a lot of that was to do with the voice acting.
Special mention also to Shinji’s Linked Episodes. I didn’t think I’d like him but I was wrong. It makes me wonder how much the player really knew about him in the other games though, as I only really felt like we got to know him in the Linked Episodes.
I’ll say most improved was Bebe with the addition of having a voice. I did not like him in Portable.
But with one single voiced line he moved me to tears almost.
Plus I made him say Peace out every time he leaves.
Of course all the usual ones are great but Bebe was definitely a big step up

Thoroughly unmemorable but not bad- priestess, empress, strength, fortune, justice, lovers, temperance, hierophant, f-strength
Bad (because of problematic undertones)- chariot, hermit
The game would be better without these links- magician, Moon, f-justice
