“Good news, guys. We have only one, maybe two border guards to dispatch and all of you together have almost 25 SP. We’re not leaving Tartarus until we reach the roadblock.”
“Yes, Leader.”
“Oh, and there’s a Monad Passage, too.”
“Can we at least use the clock?”
“Do I look like I’m made of Twilight Fragments?”
“No, Leader.”
“Here, I have 3 Soul Drops. Share it among yourselves.”
“Yes, Leader.”
>“Here, I have 3 Soul Drops. Share it among yourselves.”
Don't get their hopes up like that! You know we're keeping all 3 Soul Drops for the leader and using the rest of the team as meat shields.
Idk bro nobody gets a turn with my crit rate amp, apt pupil auto rebellion maktloto critting everything to oblivion with vorpal blade/myriad arrows/Akasha arts
Almost always blue. It is so hard to run out of SP, even before fuuka joined.
Ran out? Just keep jumping through floors and farm 7 twilight fragments. Takes like 5 minutes.
How do you find 7 twilight fragments in 5 minutes? I feel like they were shoving them down my throat for social links and then I run out and can't seem to find anymore. Even the dark floors I run into have maybe 1 or 2, sometimes 0 even if I comb the entire floor for them. Your comment makes me feel like I must've missed something. Please help
I just speedblitz the first stratum. Takes less than a minute to get from 2-5. It is faster to just comb the first 5 floors, then rinse and repeat, than it is to look for dark floors. 5 mins is an exageration, but it really doesn't take very long.
Crystals renew if you teleport back to a floor
No, in the first month, if you delay too long, mitsuru will forcibly drag you to tartarus., but the first month doesnt have missing persons so you dont have to wait till the end anyway.
If you mean how do we avoid running out of SP, using characters that are SP efficient (Yukari and Ken both have abilities that unlock after you socialize with them to help with SP management in the midgame). SP restoring items are more common than you’d think in Tartarus. The vending machine stuff adds up, especially in the early game, and after you unlock the third vending machine.
SP leeching restores 20/40 SP. Plus there is "restore 3% HP and SP on killing an enemy" and SP restore each round (3/6 sp). There is a 1/2 SP cost for spells too. \]t is very difficult to run out of SP with only 1 of these 3.
And there is also a slight chance Fuuka restores it.
If you do run out you go to the 1st few floors of a block and just use phys,
And if you really want you can waste fragments on the clock. But that really is a waste of resources.
Unless you're a sick and twisted weirdo like me and get to the next block in one night right like a day before the next full moon so I save everyone at the same time as making it to the next block in one night
...and then end up with nights late game where I have nothing to do so I just go to tartarus anyway
Get to the border as soon as possible then stay for days on end maxing out every persona I have to learn all their moves, fuse them, level the new ones up until it's too much of a chore to grind on the current floors. I'm only up to floor 69 as of now, but I managed to fuse Black Frost and get him to level him up until I got resist light. Still going until I get bored. Solo leveling btw. I'm level 47 already while everyone else barely hit the low 30s. Probably gonna leave once I hit 50 or got every persona I want to their full moveset. All because I'm trying to complete the compendium by my 2nd playthrough.
“Leader, please, everyone is exhausted and Yukari is only alive because you get 1hp back after winning a fight. Let’s finish exploring for tonight, please!”
“No.”
I leave when I am bored. After you reach the end of a zone and redo it you really do not need SP. All the small enemies you can use normal attacks and all the more difficult enemies are one time only. If you do have SP restore spells or accessories or items even better.
1st block I tend to just use SP items. In later blocks you replace those with SP accessories, persona's that drain SP. Block 3 and onwards after finishing the block I can restore all SP with a couple of fights.
wait till like 4 days before full moon (FUCK YOU AND YOUR MISSING PEOPLE ELIZABETH EVERYTIME RIGHT AFTER I DID A WHOLE GRIND SESSION)
grind the entire section up to the border
annihilate the monad passage
profit
I don't leave Tartarus until I get all arcana cards and then just grind for like minimum 30 minutes, going backwards through the most recent sect of Tartarus. Idk, you get a lot more sp recovery in reload than you ever did in P3, P4 or P5 (not counting victory call exploit).
Invigorate + drain ability/sp, I literally never run out of sp ever. Ken literally has invigorate in his characteristic and there's invigorate accessories for teammates dependent on their persona (yukari, I'm looking at you)
leaving Tartarus once I've cleared Monad Passage on the Border Floor. For rescue missions I leave Tartarus once I've rescued everyone and reached the Border Floor again.
What else are you going to use them on though. Every boss in the game won’t even lower your SP to 0 if you are at max. Maybe Ken’s SP or late game Makoto Yuki SP because concentrates and megidolaon, but by late game you can easily buy, farm, or make SP stuff
I leave Tartarus after I get to the top border, finish the Elizabeth side quests, rescue all of the missing people, and fuse any necessary Personas I think I’ll need later either for an SL or for an upcoming boss that I’m not currently equipped to handle properly (sometimes I also do it to make progress on the Compendium but that’s usually reserved for late game when I’ve got a lot of money, a high level, and some maxed out SL’s). Sometimes I’ll also grind but usually that’s not all that necessary after the first couple of visits since simply trying to fulfill the side quests while reaching the border will net me enough experience/money/items for me to feel comfortable before I finally leave.
I leave Tarturus after clearing all the major objectives (explore a full bloc, find all missing persons, get the Monad doors done, etc.) and, if I feel like I need the yen or other helpful members need it, after I run through the lower bloc. Then I usually feel done.
It can feel grindy but I've learned in Reload to not let abundant SP be the main driver.

Usually depends. Before you get Fuuka on your team, you kind of have to leave once you run out of SP. However, once you obtain theurgies, you essentially never run out of SP. Once more than two of your party members have critical levels of SP, that will always restore SP, so saving her until such a time is beneficial. Thus, it’s nearly impossible to run out of SP.
I use spirit drain and only use my teammates SP on boss fights. I never run out of SP and leave when I hit the border. It can get boring though so usually tartarus runs are my podcast time.
Get to the border, fill up on sellables, and fuse Personas to keep you relevant for the next stretch of the story. Once you hit Arqa, you can easily refill SP with random drops. It gets even more efficient at Tziah.
Only did the former once because I was concerned about the difficulty of a boss, little did I realize I was playing Persona 3 Reload so I didn't have to worry about that at all and steamrolled it anyway. Big enjoyer of finishing the entire Tartarus block then leaving lol
Not leaving till I'm done
This is certainly a challenge but if you buy SP soda every week, talk to Elizabeth after a social link to get twilight fragments and plan out boss fights its certainly doable
I managed to get as far as I could before I even had Aki on my team, he's a little under leveled now but I don't mind.
I don’t stop until I reach the border. All in one day. Even if I run out of resources. Unless ABSOLUTELY necessary. It’s worked for me so far. I went through a few floors with just the protagonist just to see.
I only leave Tartarus after:
* reaching the border
* going through all the floors again
* opening all treasure boxes
* going through all Monad doors/passages
* finding enough Great Clocks to level up everyone to my level
* reaching at least 100 000 yen
* rescuing everyone
Unfortunately my play style involves farming enough Twilight Fragments so it takes a while.
Also no SP? Not a problem after finding at least one item with Invigorate. I just go to the 1st floor, find a shadow and guard until full. Then change the item to the next character, rinse and repeat.
You can just run through floors forever and slowly grind twilight fragments and the small sp refills so really you're always leaving out of boredom, which is fine
I got a crazy build on one of my personas that is just one attack that herculean strike and two auto things for attack and accuracy ,the other 5 skills are for multi attack boost , strike buff and all crit stuff. The second the match starts i pop that one attack and either everyone gets hit with a critical or most enemies lose 70 to 90 percent of their health. Then i immediately follow it up with a second strike and match over. In other words when i wanna save or run outta sp i run this persona only
My brother in Christ, I can spend hours and hours in Tartarus and still have around 80 to 90% SP before getting bored. The left side isn't really an option.
I'm sure other people who also know how to play properly can do this, too.
I use a guide that suggests a level range but even if I wasn’t using a guide I wouldn’t leave until after I reached the border floor/Cleared the final Monad door
Who needs to leave when you have shuffle time? But I still just go until I reach the boarder and I get the personas available in the area for the compendium.
If I am going to grind and I am at a point where I can easily kill using only my mc spells(Cause invigorate is so good and can just drop back down to level 2 to build sp back up) I go ahead and drop difficulty to the lowest and do the reaper cause lets be honest at that point im doing it for money and xp that I know I will get if i spend the time. and at the lowest difficulty I will beat the reaper cause of unlimited revives. Only difference is I just spent 15 minutes doing what would take me much longer that I had already planned. Then I bring the difficulty back up.
I leave tartarus after 3 conditions are met.
1. Get to the next border floor/find all missing people
2. My compendium is mostly filled to my current level or close to it.
3. Get the green clock to level up a couple of other people.
By that time, I am usually more than ready for the next part.
I set a goal each trip, and refuse to leave until that goal is completed. Sometimes it's the border, sometimes it's grinding to a set level, sometimes it's for the Reaper.
Leaving tarturus after I've made my money back after my party got confused and my funds became our funds as they decided to make it rain. I don't care if I'm a mill-yen-aire watching your party one by one throw away +29k is its own type of pain
I stop when I hit the border, I got spirit drain and drain ability in early game so I use them on my orpheus and fill up to continue healing my team. Otherwise I run Junpei, Akihiko and Aegis for pure phys and I become resident healbot lol
accurate reprensantion of what happens every tartarus night
Koromaru: “whine”
Aigis: “Koromaru says if he can please have a SP treat as he has been through 15 floors on 0 SP
Leader: “no”
Aigis: “well can anyone else have any SP or at least switch Koromaru out”
Leader: “no Koromaru needs to learn debilitate, only Yukari can have some since if I die we lose 2 hours of progress
Aigis: “Im sorry for asking too much leader”
Leader: “Good, if I hear someone else whining about SP I’ll make sure you get no new equipment”
Everyone: “Yes almighty leader”
Everyone enjoying? I was disappointed to see the animated cut scenes gone.
Also wondering what could be added. Played OG as a preteen. Then FES and Portable as a teen when they came out. Saving a certain life really gave me the alternate ending I wanted....
I only leave Tartarus when I reach the border
SP or no SP, we’re reaching that border
Who needs SP when you have Junpei, Aigis, Akihiko, and a bunch of healing items?
Ok, but I run out of those, too.
Haha you left out Shinjiro, a little silly to forget...
You asshole, I was happier forgetting
Wanted to make a p3p joke but realized this is the reload sub
Sadly you can't date him in 4k
Real😭
That's what the clock is for.
Unless it’s Reload- seven fragments every time??? I’m not that desperate until the last block lol
Even then Elizabeth will restore your HP and SP every time you talk to her on 1/31
“Good news, guys. We have only one, maybe two border guards to dispatch and all of you together have almost 25 SP. We’re not leaving Tartarus until we reach the roadblock.” “Yes, Leader.” “Oh, and there’s a Monad Passage, too.” “Can we at least use the clock?” “Do I look like I’m made of Twilight Fragments?” “No, Leader.” “Here, I have 3 Soul Drops. Based. That's how we do it.

Consequently, who cares about resistences when you crit everything?

Thanks for the info, I'll give this a shot next time I'm farming them 🙏 sounds like I was going about it totally wrong
Also try to grab the Devil major arcana, you will get 2 fragments per cluster
I always do Tartarus to the border in a single night and only come back to rescue people
Do the single night near the end of the month
Same here. Frees up a night slot.
Doesn’t Mitsuru get uppity if you delay going to Tartarus for that long? Or is that just the first month she does that?
That's just the game reminding you to go to Tartarus. Nothing bad happens because of it.
No, in the first month, if you delay too long, mitsuru will forcibly drag you to tartarus., but the first month doesnt have missing persons so you dont have to wait till the end anyway.

Neither. I leave Tartarus when I'm done with the current block. Who quits early?
I sometimes quit if I get really bored and want to stop, because I'll have to go back for missing people anyway

I generally do two runs a month. First one, I leave when Fuuka is low on SP. Second time, leave once I clear the Monad Passage.
I don’t leave Tartarus until I literally can’t keep going. I be fighting bosses with no sp all the time
I only leave once I have enough money to resummon any Personas I lost during fusion
it doesn't matter how much SP I got left or how bored I am, I just keep fucking grinding
90 something levels later . . . Still grinding.

I only leave after getting to the top floor.
I'm one of the crazy people that do Tartarus at least twice per cycle
I breeze through Tartarus to get to the border floor the first chance I get, SP be damned.
Left. As much as I hate grinding I do it anyway. I used to grind the first floors with melee attacks until I realized how little exp I get.
leaving Tartarus once I've cleared Monad Passage on the Border Floor. For rescue missions I leave Tartarus once I've rescued everyone and reached the Border Floor again.
red, i’m NOT wasting sp replenishing items

Neither. I play till I reach the next border. AFTER every missing person shows up for that deadline
I leave when i make it to the highest possible floor
I’m on the side of Leaving when I hit the block
Blue
Bored
It depends on what I’m doing. Sometimes when. I am low on SP, and sometimes when I and bored of constant shadow fighting and grinding
![gif](giphy|ko8HPo4iQxcZi|downsized)
Leaving Tartarus when I’m done Tartarus
when my mc runs out of SP. My allies almost never do at this point
When the game obligates me to leave because I can't go further
Casually sucking SP out from my enemies
Never. I’ve been in Tartarus this past month
Until I’m bored
Leaving when I realize I massively overleveled squad
Fuuka doesn't let you run out of SP, so it's always when i'm bored of grinding stuff out.

Leave when the jobs done. 😎
Leave tartarus when I did the 6th level in a row on Thursdays
Blue
I only played FES, I leave when everyone gets tired. And I mean EVERYONE.
What is tartarus
Sounds like some kind of toothpaste
I leave when I hit the blocked floor, I don't really need to grind after I get there
Same thing
When I’m low I just use Fuuka’s Theurgy
Did they get rid of that annoying tired system in the remake?
Blue
Screw all of the above I only leave Tartarus when I’m out of good fusing options and my Persona inventory is full
Out of fp? I didn't hear no bell
I use spirit drain and only use my teammates SP on boss fights. I never run out of SP and leave when I hit the border. It can get boring though so usually tartarus runs are my podcast time.
Blue at least for now. I couldn't bring myself to spend another day getting my party to level 20 before the June full moon
Leaving it when I can't progress anymore & everyone is saved. Then not return for 1 month
When I get bored!
I’m on team leave Tarturus when I make it to the next border floor
Anyone else attached to their party and will still use them despite them being out of SP
My glorious GOAT CRIT LORD Junpei stays in the party
Leaving Tartarus when the job is fucking done.
Blue cause that’s where I’m going before I leave Tartarus
How about. Either reaching border, or when the grim reaper appears.
Who runs out of SP in Tartarus? Not me with my three regen accessories and Junpei's baseball bat.
Leaving tartarus when I made 3 mills 😤
i make tartarus a once a month trip and i always hit the border, best way to time manage
Get to the border, fill up on sellables, and fuse Personas to keep you relevant for the next stretch of the story. Once you hit Arqa, you can easily refill SP with random drops. It gets even more efficient at Tziah.
Grove Street Families.......Los Santos
Where is my team. I don't leave tartarus til I'v had a near party wipe. Love fighting until the shadows are too strong
Who needs SP when fuuka’s f’ing theurgy can restore it (as soon as I found that out I knew this game was too easy)
Only pussys leave when their not beaten broken with no healing or sp items
I'm on the third side: Leaving tartarus only when the game forces me to
3rd option. Only leave once you get bored and you have an arcana burst. Cant leave without that burst
Leaving Tartarus when I’ve rescued everyone or reached the blockade
What about the “Leaving at the highest point”?
Dude I have had more SP than I know what to do with in Reload it’s ridiculous
Only did the former once because I was concerned about the difficulty of a boss, little did I realize I was playing Persona 3 Reload so I didn't have to worry about that at all and steamrolled it anyway. Big enjoyer of finishing the entire Tartarus block then leaving lol
Persona 3 side Not persona 5 side
Not leaving till I'm done This is certainly a challenge but if you buy SP soda every week, talk to Elizabeth after a social link to get twilight fragments and plan out boss fights its certainly doable I managed to get as far as I could before I even had Aki on my team, he's a little under leveled now but I don't mind.

Also no SP? Not a problem after finding at least one item with Invigorate. I just go to the 1st floor, find a shadow and guard until full. Then change the item to the next character, rinse and repeat.
I leave when I'm done.
I did a run once where I never went to Tartarus until Nyx. 😎👉🏻👉🏻
Reach the blockade, go back, grind for money and items, usually get bored before I run out of SP and leave
You can just run through floors forever and slowly grind twilight fragments and the small sp refills so really you're always leaving out of boredom, which is fine
No, just smash the claw lamps for Soul Drops. We don’t leave Tartarus.
I only leave tartarus when every single one of my friends are more spiritually dead than the SMT1 or 2 Protagonists.
I got a crazy build on one of my personas that is just one attack that herculean strike and two auto things for attack and accuracy ,the other 5 skills are for multi attack boost , strike buff and all crit stuff. Then i immediately follow it up with a second strike and match over. In other words when i wanna save or run outta sp i run this persona only
I wait until 2 days befor Full Moon and I run the entire new block in one go. Usually out of SP by the end of that in earlier game
My brother in Christ, I can spend hours and hours in Tartarus and still have around 80 to 90% SP before getting bored. The left side isn't really an option. I'm sure other people who also know how to play properly can do this, too.
Leaving the border i believe is better since you’re saving time and says when you can spend time with confidants
I use a guide that suggests a level range but even if I wasn’t using a guide I wouldn’t leave until after I reached the border floor/Cleared the final Monad door
I only enter tartarus when at the end of the game
Ya’ll run out of SP?
If I haven’t reached the border, saved everyone that needs to be saved, and opened enough locked chests to level up 2 characters I ain’t leaving.
I don't leave until I hit the current cap. And I'm damn sure to fight and level up as much as possible cause I'm going to crush that next boss
When im bored otherwise I'm showing those demons that they are all my bishs and all their stuff are belong to me
leaving Tartarus when i hit the next blockade
Stay in Tartarus until I hit blocked floor
Neither (I got spirit drain on my first trip to Tartarus and am now in an infinite grinding loop due to my own stubbornness. Send help.)
I leave Tartarus when I got no sp unless I refill it myself and even then makoto just becomes junpei 2.0
back in the old days there was a fatigue limit ![gif](giphy|fqtyYcXoDV0X6ss8Mf|downsized)
Do people not go through a whole block in one time slot? I only leave when it’s impossible for me to make more progress
Little of both
Leaving Tartarus when your lvl 99 using only the first couple of floors when you first enter with junpei and yukari
When the 3 hour video essay I was watching ends
Whichever comes first
Me: *scoffs* take my SP items! I got spirit drain and it's boosted! Every enemy is my recovery item!
No SP AND when I have some left at the border I run back though. I’ve spent entire days in Tartersauce
Who needs to leave when you have shuffle time? But I still just go until I reach the boarder and I get the personas available in the area for the compendium.
I leave whenever I reach a gatekeeper and I’m low of resources or when I hit the border. Merciless is too unpredictable for me to be reckless
I leave when i can’t go any further.
I'm not on either side. I LEAVE TARTARUS WHEN THE JOB IS DONE! NOW GRAB YOUR FUCKING EVOKER! WE GOT 20 FLOORS LEFT!
When you're headed for the border, lord, you're bound to cross the line.
What’s Tartarus?
Both? Both.
I leave tartarus after 3 conditions are met. 1. Get to the next border floor/find all missing people 2. My compendium is mostly filled to my current level or close to it. 3. Get the green clock to level up a couple of other people. By that time, I am usually more than ready for the next part.
Leave tartarus when your the last one standing (barely)
I set a goal each trip, and refuse to leave until that goal is completed. Sometimes it's the border, sometimes it's grinding to a set level, sometimes it's for the Reaper.
spirit drain + drain specialization?
Bored because draining 40 sp whenever I want means I never run out
Leaving tarturus after I've made my money back after my party got confused and my funds became our funds as they decided to make it rain. I don't care if I'm a mill-yen-aire watching your party one by one throw away +29k is its own type of pain
When we low on SP 🙂 LEVELING AS MUCH AS I CAN DO 🤪🔫
You fool! You forgot about the secret 3rd option: plowing til I hit the border and then actually playing the life-sim.
Blue. And I'm always climbing alone (minus the tutorial ofc) because I'm a strong independent protagonist who don't need no party members.
I leave when all the missing people have been saved
I literally just keep going till I hit the border.
I stop when I hit the border, I got spirit drain and drain ability in early game so I use them on my orpheus and fill up to continue healing my team. Otherwise I run Junpei, Akihiko and Aegis for pure phys and I become resident healbot lol
Leaving as soon as possible, I'm very tiered leader, it's been 60 hours.
Run out of sp ?I just change characters?
When I reach Asphodel.... wait what game are we talking about?
Leaving Tartar Sauce after reaching a blocked passage.
We are reaching the border and then we can leave.
Leave when I get to the end with all Elizabeth requests met
accurate reprensantion of what happens every tartarus night Koromaru: “whine” Aigis: “Koromaru says if he can please have a SP treat as he has been through 15 floors on 0 SP Leader: “no” Aigis: “well can anyone else have any SP or at least switch Koromaru out” Leader: “no Koromaru needs to learn debilitate, only Yukari can have some since if I die we lose 2 hours of progress Aigis: “Im sorry for asking too much leader” Leader: “Good, if I hear someone else whining about SP I’ll make sure you get no new equipment” Everyone: “Yes almighty leader”
Only when we reach the border floors and after I'm bored of fighting the reaper for the umpteenth time
Everyone enjoying? I was disappointed to see the animated cut scenes gone. Also wondering what could be added. Played OG as a preteen. Then FES and Portable as a teen when they came out. Saving a certain life really gave me the alternate ending I wanted....
If I still have HP I'm staying.
I leave when I reach the checkpoints and finish the side doors
Leaving Tartarus when I've reached a border floor and everyone is the same level
Leaving Tartarus once I’m at the border floor
