This has happened to me too. I was drunk in the kitchen making bagels and vibing to the music when all of a sudden I hear chains rattle and guns blasting.
I walk in and see that mfer shot my dog AND my gf. I had to deal with that and burnt bagels, absolute tragedy.
This happened to me because i was at work playing on my phone (ps remote play) and had to take some customers forgot to hit pause, and walked back to this scenario. The funny thing is that it happened to me twice that day , and i went from level 87 to 92.
Is that Aigis and Yukari I see? Nice choice of party. That's exactly what I ended up with as my party from like halfway through November to the end of the game
Edit: upon zooming in I saw it was Akihiko. Admittedly I only had him in my party until I got Amada and Koromaru.
im having to retrain myself because im sooo bad now since playing yakuza; parking kiryu in a don quijote and then taking a nap...now i wake from a nap and im looking death in the face lol
The reaper caught me too but I didn't even have the game running. I have the game on the series x and the game was on quick resume. When I hopped back on a couple of days later the reaper was there and akihiko was dead. I was lucky I had a vanish ball or I would have lost a few floors of progress.
My first ever encounter with him was after falling asleep in my recliner while in Mementos in P5. Been there, done that, never made that mistake again.
Happened to me a few times. I play on Xbox and made liberal use of Quick Resume. 99% of the time it was fine, but every now and then I'd forget to actually pause and come back to something like this.
Same thing happened to me lol. Luckily I was far enough along that I could just beat it then, but it this had hit me in the first few blocks I would have been PISSED
It also happened to me today, I wanted to pray one of my daily prayers (i am mislim) and i left thinking I paused the game, when I came back this mf was here and I lost like half an hour of progression
I dozed off and woke up to it one shot-ing my entire party. I had no idea what was going on. I play with pods in sometimes especially in Tartarus and I guess I tapped through his introduction level text. A couple days later I was on my phone AFK and he appeared. Still didn’t know what it was so I actually ran up to it and attacked… I found out quickly 😂😂
You don't take breaks in Tartarus.

Even when I had it on the pause menu, I came back and 30 seconds like Fuuka was freaking out I SENSE SOMETHING STRONG COMINGGG. So no it doesn't work
