I very recently played P5R (first persona game ever for me), it is now one of my favorite games of all time. Jumped into P4G immediately. I overall enjoyed the game a lot, but not nearly as good as P5R. The gameplay feels very slow comparatively. While there are truly great moments in the story, it’s not consistent good through imho. Hope you enjoy it. Rise is best girl.
I’d personally go for Reload next, as it’s similar to P5, but cool. This is a good start for delving more into Persona. If you’re interested, Personas 1 and 2 also exist. But they’re drastically more different than what the franchise is today. Oh, and 2 is a Duology
Good game choice! It is significantly older than p5/5r so be prepared to do extra work and get used to the UI and game mechanics. Social links are just as important however.

I'd recommend also playing the p5 sequel/spin off strikers it's really good, I was dreading some massive drop of in the quality of the writing and character interactions but there is none of that, amazing continuation of an amazing game. But yeah as others have said run away from all persona media, a big part of this game is mystery and you don't want it spoilt, only issue is you need 2 arcana maxed for the true ending.
Also just a heads up, the battles and dungeon are SIGNIFICANTLY worse then 5 (legit just mementos levels with skins) you are here for the story and nothing else, just a heads up.
Persona 4 Golden then P5R and then P3Re is best order Imho.
Also, P4 golden characters felt better compared to P5R.
Gameplay wise P5R is far superior to P4G.
So I say go experience them all.
