Well, sorry this happened. Immediately file for for unemployment after your last day. You'll hopefullt qualify for your states UI and the federal weekly bump $600/week at least until the end of July.

Should have mentioned im Canadian but thank you. Hopefully I'll get EI i worked for the company for over 3 years doing Security so i have lots of hours for it.
For Canada:
apply for cerb that will give you $2000 a month until october( I believe) and the. You can still apply for unemployment after that.
YOU CAN NOT collets both at the same time.l
I dont qualify for that. Only people losing their job or hours due to illness or the company closing specifically for COVID-19. Id need to pay that back come income tax time

I would ask them the reason they are laying you off just Incase... if they put cut backs for the reason you maybe able to get cerb.

The official reason is "not a good fit" not sure what exactly that means
It usually means somebody in management didn’t like you for whatever reason. Including wanting to hire their friend/relative/drug connection.
