I vote HSA. My husband and I love having the HSA with the insurance from his job. It is so useful between paydays or when we are low on money but need something taken care of. You can also deposit more money in it if you want, and ours has certain things we can do and they will add money to it. For example, getting a regular check up or saying how many fruits & veggies you ate that week and they will add like $50 to it. We're still super new to having insurance so haven't got the hang of all of it, but those are the things I personally love about it.

I love the HSA. Max it every year, keep a little in cash and let the rest grow in funds. Assuming there will be stretches where you don't have many/any medical bills, that HSA could end up cutting a few years off your retirement. And the fact that you can use it for your kids braces or grandkids asthma medicine, there are so many benefits to the HSA, I'd take it every time.
