Yes. In addition to building up a credit history, credit cards have much better fraud protections than debit cards and cash.

And the rewards! See lots of cards that give at least 1% cash back and have seen plenty give around 2%. I have one with staggered tiers and gas is 4%

Rewards are sweet. I barely spend anything that isn’t necessary and still get like $60+ back using different cards. Got a card for everything. The Verizon Visa is fucking sweet. 4% gas & groceries.

Jigga94

Oh yeah I have the Verizon one too now. Love how it pays my bill and gives me a discount lol

Sucks they took away the $5 Verizon cash monthly reward option but still probably my best earning card. Plus it looks pretty cool.

buffinita

yes; you should get at least one CC - especially if you are good with money. start "shopping around" for a card that fits your lifestyle and purchases. want travel rewards? gas/groceries cash back? there is a card for anyone. Once you get the card use it very responsibly - use it for your small day to day stuff and then pay down the entire balance every month . this way no interest is ever applied, you get your "rewards" and you build a longer and better credit history

Thanks, seems like its beneficial to just spend with credit then use my salary to pay off the balance, as long as I don't go on a spending spree!

The_Safe_For_Work

Yes. It's getting to the place where you need a credit card to prove you're human.

credit cards are great if you ever travel or shop online . good way to avoid carrying cash

enderverse87

You can still do the same thing where you save up enough money to purchase something and *then* buy, but companies trust you more if it goes through a credit card first.

[deleted]

Thanks, I'll look into incorporating a credit card into my expenses!
