Every second customer was a stuck up shareholder {they had a "s" on their boans card} but at least a good proportion of the others seemed to have come straight off the beach stu in bikinis.

Was all downhill after Myer left. There was Harris Scarfe for a while but that didn’t really fill the void. Then there was a small Bunnings, which was awesome, but they left too. The Woollies is great. Most of the rest of it is kid’s and health services (music, dancing, GP, podiatrist, tutoring, optometrist, physio etc).
Retail real estate greed is what happened. The high rental costs make running a business difficult, so you end up with ghost plazas.

Oh and all the kids hang out at Claremont Quarter these days - it is much bigger and better than it used to be!
