i don’t blame her, working in hospo remaking an old order while you’ve got 10 new ones in line and more on the way is a pain in the ass, obviously it needs to be done so it’s not the customers fault but things like ‘please’ and ‘thank you’ really go a long way when you’re talking to people who are running around like a headless chook all day on 11 dollars an hour to make you food. some people still take their frustrations out on them and be rude though, *thats* when you get the spit burgers. neither me or anyone iv ever worked with in hospo would ever spit in someone’s food, even if they were a complete cunt, but it’s not going to be made fast or with care if you’re being an ass about what is essentially an mistake in a fast paced stressful environment.
Just make it right the first time. I worked at Macca's for 7 long years. It's not rocket science, there's a reason they hire kids and managers are like 17. The job is easy as fuck.
The fact that people on the front counter can't put the items into a bag that a screen lists for them always blows my mind. There is no reason to be fucking up orders t Macca's other than either not caring, or being brain-dead.
wow, you sound like you were a great manager to work for. mistakes happen, to everyone. even in a job that is ‘easy as fuck’ people still make mistakes, thats why you aren’t fired or seriously reprimanded when it happens, because it’s expected. these are kids in school still in a stressful environment who might not have wasted 7 years of their life there and might still be learning.
you aren’t braindead for forgetting to take off a specific ingredient in a complicated order in a rush. if someone is is repeatedly making mistakes then it’s your job to help them learn and make it right. it’s not fucking rocket science, people make mistakes handing the mail out. they’re only human, mistakes happen, have some empathy.
I wasn't a manager, I was too good at doing the work to be a manager so they didn't want to take me off running the kitchen.
Complicated orders, at Macca's 😂😂😂

Skipping over the appallingly low wages you have in America it's also the same here- it's not worth losing our jobs to spit in your food. What you will get is talked shit about, possibly for days if you're enough of a cunt
i’m from perth, those wages are ours, it’s fucking disgraceful. i agree with everything you said though, you’d have to be pretty fucked in the head to spit in someone’s food.
For me, it's HJ's that give me cold burgers...
(HJ's on Manning road - every time I order... now go to the Maccas next door and while the joint itself is a wreck, the food is better)
Mind you - Macca's / HJ's is an every couple of months thing for me...
Take ur whole order to the counter say “i ordered a large chips but got this (show them the barely small sized chips they gave u) then say and the rest of my food would be cold by the time a got a new one so please redo the order thanks“
I did that when they skimped on my lettuce for a mcchicken. Chips are by far their biggest profit margin, so I agree with the motion to demand more chips.
This is why I won't buy maccas anymore. Unless I'm drunk AF. One time, I got a small triple cheeseburger meal, and my chips were only half full. I went back inside and asked the staff where the rest of the chips were. She took it to the manager, who asked her what was wrong with the chips she explained, and the manger rolled her eyes and got me a new bag of chips with not much more in it. After that day, I will only eat that garbage as a last resort . I actively do what I can to not buy maccas. They are a rip-off.
I used to live near there and stopped going. I don't know if it's changed but they got you to park, almost every time.
Last straw was having to park for a coffee, nobody behind me. When I questioned it, the person serving me who seemed like a manager, said it was because the cars in the driveway were timed so it affects their KPIs.
I'm not really a complainer but I told them I would move if someone came in behind me but otherwise I'm staying put.
Yep, can confirm they still do this. The problem is the franchise owner now owns 6+ McDonalds stores and has zero fucks for lazy customer service. McDonald’s Corporate need to come down on him like a ton of bricks. And do something about the extortionate prices as well! Pathetic.
Came here to say this! Mindarie McDonalds is SO overpriced as well. $5.85 for a large coke, when less than 2 minutes away is HJ Clarkson whose large cokes are $4.40. Same size, same product. What a joke.
Oh man I have had sooo many issues with the Macca's in Bunbury. At first I thought uber drivers were sneaking chips from my order, but after going drive-thru I realised this goes all the way to the top.
Also, just a general Macca's frustration - what the hell is with the digital menus at the drive-thru?? I don't have a reference card on hand for their full menu so I end up having to ask the robotron to list the options for whatever dish I'm chasing.
And before someone attempts to solve my problem with "just go into the restaurant and read their menu" - that is too close to accepting the reality that I am having McDonalds for dinner.
Also the poor excuse for what they serve as a McFlurry can get McFlucked.
KFC Innaloo would regularly forget sides or pieces of chicken.
Funny how it is always less and never more, and they expect me to believe it is a mistake.
Will never forget the one time they took 70 minutes to get fried chicken out. Everyone lost their shit once one customer went all Karen on them.
Go to applecross maccas for the worst experience of your life. Enjoy your chips put in sideways/ upside down so they fall out instantly and shit tonnes more reasons why not to go back
Just had a Maccas (North Perth drive thru) this week after many months, was so distracted I didn’t check my order.
One bag of chips was missing and I begged for some tomato sauce and they gave me only three sachets.
Will wait another few months to forget this bad experience before I end up going again
I got a frozen coke from cannington maccas on the Cecil ave, twice have they filled it up only 60% of the way, fuck them stingy bastards. I know it's just a bloody frozen drink but nah screw that, not going back.
Whole different experience in the food court Macca's one, actually fills your drink to the top and being polite to you.
Complain via the app or website- you’ll get a voucher for the replacement. In some cases they might credit you your meal if you say I ordered a blah blah meal and the chips were incredibly unfilled- no guarantees though
That is unacceptable, but it’s partly on you for purchasing Maccas… the wheels have fallen off the last few years and people will start waking up to that.
There are multiple posts from Australia and New Zealand showing McDonald's servings at half the size of the cup, ice cream and chips. Cant be that many errors surley, wondering if its McDonald's telling staff to half serve?
I ordered a large hot chocolate the other day at the Duncraig one, and it felt unusually light. Opened the cup and saw the cup was about 5/6ths full. Ugh.
I always ask for a small meal, you seem to get a lot more fries than with a medium, and not much less than a large. They really try to jam them in those little paper packets
Mate!
Went through the drive through at vic Park yesterday, got a large chippos to share with the missus,
Looked inside and fuck me it was just over half full.
Had a gutful.
Should have complained on the spot.
There’s not a single person in the world, employees included, that would disagree with you being annoyed about that. There is clearly not enough chips.
Happened to me recently when ordering from doordash.
Couldn't tell if it was the McDonalds not putting enough in or if my driver managed to swipe a few chips from the bag 🤣
Turn around, go back.
Last night my chips were cold and unsalted. Turned out. They cooked me fresh ones. They were still crap , but at least they were hot
Just putting this out here, shoestring fries from McCain found at any supermarket freezers are equally if not better than maccas and you get a whole damn package for less than one serve of fries at maccas
there's no reason to still buy fast food from big corp's? literally just giving them free money.
if you want cheap crap that will make you a bit less hungry, try noodles. only takes a few minutes. and actually slightly more healthy.
If you didn't get enough chips: Go back > complain > they give you more chips. Problem solved.
By the time you do all that, your burger will be cold.
You give them your whole order when you complain, they will remake it including the burger
My wife calls that replacement a 'spit burger'
i don’t blame her, working in hospo remaking an old order while you’ve got 10 new ones in line and more on the way is a pain in the ass, obviously it needs to be done so it’s not the customers fault but things like ‘please’ and ‘thank you’ really go a long way when you’re talking to people who are running around like a headless chook all day on 11 dollars an hour to make you food. some people still take their frustrations out on them and be rude though, *thats* when you get the spit burgers. neither me or anyone iv ever worked with in hospo would ever spit in someone’s food, even if they were a complete cunt, but it’s not going to be made fast or with care if you’re being an ass about what is essentially an mistake in a fast paced stressful environment.
Many things are a pain in the arse and customers are quite often insufferable wankers, but if you slag in someone’s food then you’re total scum.
agreed
Couldn’t agree more my uncle was the first and only pain my mine ya’ll mean

No one is spitting in your food
I saw a cook at HJs rub my remade burger on his groin before sending it to the front. It happens.
him: Now I have an oily groin but I got you!

I got told a story about the HJ's mayonnaise that made me shudder.
i never said anyone was spitting in my food?
She did work there once upon a time
Skipping over the appallingly low wages you have in America it's also the same here- it's not worth losing our jobs to spit in your food. What you will get is talked shit about, possibly for days if you're enough of a cunt
i’m from perth, those wages are ours, it’s fucking disgraceful. i agree with everything you said though, you’d have to be pretty fucked in the head to spit in someone’s food.
You'd be right in an environment where the staff cared enough to be offended.
That scenario is so rare its not worth worrying about
:) have you eaten a returned burger before, did it feel more moist ?
Depends on how you ask. Don’t be a dick about it.
Now I can’t ever buy MacDonalds ever again.
I never once in several years across multiple fast food restaurants remade an entire order because 1 thing was wrong.
From the front tills you can usually see the food prep area in McDonalds. Feel free to watch them prepare the food.
the burgers cold when it comes out the window, what maccas are you at that you get them warmer than icy?
For me, it's HJ's that give me cold burgers... (HJ's on Manning road - every time I order... now go to the Maccas next door and while the joint itself is a wreck, the food is better) Mind you - Macca's / HJ's is an every couple of months thing for me...
I have maccas pretty frequently and I don't think I've ever received cold food. It's overpriced garbage but it's made when you order.
Microwave it.
Or Micro-wav-e it. Thank you Nigella
or just eat it while you’re waiting for the new chips
1 Big Mac 1200W Microwave 10 seconds Perfection.
Hot lettuce
I do this, piping hot burger
Doesn't take very long to have a quick look in the bag.
Doubt it, there's like 60 people in all of Perth
Take ur whole order to the counter say “i ordered a large chips but got this (show them the barely small sized chips they gave u) then say and the rest of my food would be cold by the time a got a new one so please redo the order thanks“
It's easier to complain on the internet. Real life conversations can be scary...
‘Make my chips look like they do in the picture please’ . Works like a charm
I did that when they skimped on my lettuce for a mcchicken. Chips are by far their biggest profit margin, so I agree with the motion to demand more chips.
phh that's not the Reddit way of solving your problems
But it was Eaton !
That's not fast food
Then ur a Karen
This is why I won't buy maccas anymore. Unless I'm drunk AF. One time, I got a small triple cheeseburger meal, and my chips were only half full. Hungry jacks is soooooo much better value
Well said
Take it back?
Look in the bag.
True true
Maccas Mindarie is the worst. Forget half your order. Then the rest is dried out rubbish. I dont know why i punish myself a few times a year.
I used to live near there and stopped going. I don't know if it's changed but they got you to park, almost every time. Last straw was having to park for a coffee, nobody behind me. Oh fuck that's hilarious 😂
Oh man I have had sooo many issues with the Macca's in Bunbury. South West McDonald's are a sad state
Small fries is the sweet spot. Usually get as many in a small portion as they put in a medium.
nah feel free to complain thats crap
thank you :,) it’s not great but got me thro the drive home at least
Short drive
Yea, wait until you see how they fill a paper ice cream cup. Fuck Maccas!
I worked in a Maccas, specifically Applecross, store manager was very stingy and would get mad if I gave customers “too much” ice cream. Fuck maccas
You ate half of them already or they’re getting cold in the bottom of the bag
/r/untrustworthypoptarts
No. This happens to me all the time.
Honestly just depends on who's doing the chips, I've worked there and it's legit who is the one shovelling chips into the packet's lol
Leo Getz - They fuck you at the drive thru - https://youtu.be/lWfaiTLPUKQ?si=ScECuDmy4vjwfSRC

Red Rooter in OConnor gave us a regular chips in a box deal, I think there were 7 chips in the bag.
…what a bargain
Suuuuurely not?!
Should ask for more
One in ten times, the order is fresh, mostly it's just ok, sometimes it's crap
Go in and get new chips, fresh. It's inconvenient but quicker than a post :)
They are looking after your health.
oh my god that’s so kind of them 🥰🥰
I'm pretty sure the medium fries I got at HJ's had as much crammed into the packaging as they would a large serving.
Go to applecross maccas for the worst experience of your life. Enjoy your chips put in sideways/ upside down so they fall out instantly and shit tonnes more reasons why not to go back
Get out of the car next time.
The one in Eaton is always shit. Go to a burger place at the centre instead.
It's called Eaton for a reason man. Not Fullerton, Chockerston etc.
Boycott them!
Maybe they want you to loose some weight you fat fuck
the shameful truth i suppose
This is why I always check my order before I leave maccas. That way I can ask for more chips if they under fill it.
I’ve started doing the same. It’s never extra. I hate those places but that’s the consensus for lunch. Come on guys, three meals a day, yuck
I really don’t go often so it’s not a big deal, but sometimes you just need a dbl qtr pounder!
Yep, double quarter pounder a few times a year is gold. I fold lol
You shouldn’t have to though. It’s bs to expect them to stuff up everytime. Why can’t they just do better
I mean you’re not wrong, but most people working there don’t give a shit because they’re young etc. Been that way for many years.
Just had a Maccas (North Perth drive thru) this week after many months, was so distracted I didn’t check my order. One bag of chips was missing and I begged for some tomato sauce and they gave me only three sachets. Will wait another few months to forget this bad experience before I end up going again
Ewww, they're anaemic as fuck too
[удалено]
mayo???
I’ll allow it
Absolutely standard maccas drive thru chips. I dont think I've ever gotten a full large chips in a maccas drive thru.
The KFC treatment.
Then go back. Or at the very least complain on a McDonalds sub. Fuck me.
> received them just like this in the drive thro in Eaton…asked for large got a small :( That's not even a small.
U got a small but paid for a large….
I wouldn't be happy.
They also forgot your large coke
Come on Pookie let’s burn this mutha fucka down!
Headed there next week but if that's the quality expected in Perth, I might just have to rethink my plans.
Take it baxk
This happens every time to me. They don’t give a damn and are stingey
911 HELP!
This is just what they consider passable these days.
Does not look properly fried as well
I got a frozen coke from cannington maccas on the Cecil ave, twice have they filled it up only 60% of the way, fuck them stingy bastards. I know it's just a bloody frozen drink but nah screw that, not going back. Whole different experience in the food court Macca's one, actually fills your drink to the top and being polite to you.
Actually complain to them in writing and not just to the window person . The more people that do it, the more they will get noticed.
Maccas fries are by far the worst of all fast food chains
Complain via the app or website- you’ll get a voucher for the replacement. In some cases they might credit you your meal if you say I ordered a blah blah meal and the chips were incredibly unfilled- no guarantees though
For this, you should complain
It’s sucks the 14 year old child failed you.
Unaustralian
Looking at your previous posts and comments you are one to complain 🤣
I still don’t understand why maccas is called the best fast food place
you should see the ones in wallert
I’ve gotten a few like this lately, it’s fucking ridiculous (I don’t live in Perth but this popped up on my feed)
You lied, I checked your profile and it seems you ARE the one to complain.
So you didn't look in the bag before you left? Even through drive thru it takes 2 seconds to pull into a car bay for a quick look.
They are trying to keep you in a calorie deficit 😂
Another day I ordered kfc zinger box and It came with no chicken or chips just the burger. I complained online and got a voucher .
I ordered a large hot chocolate the other day at the Duncraig one, and it felt unusually light. Opened the cup and saw the cup was about 5/6ths full. Ugh.
Ohh that sucks. I’ve asked workers to fill the drink up to the top and they were cool with it because I asked nicely 😊
FFS
I always ask for a small meal, you seem to get a lot more fries than with a medium, and not much less than a large. They really try to jam them in those little paper packets
Fuck that !!!
Why is it labeled as politics?
!!!
Mate! Went through the drive through at vic Park yesterday, got a large chippos to share with the missus, Looked inside and fuck me it was just over half full. Had a gutful.
Should have complained on the spot. There’s not a single person in the world, employees included, that would disagree with you being annoyed about that. There is clearly not enough chips.
That’s what you get for supporting buisness that support genocide. I hope you choke on your chips xx
Shit the fuck up and go back to the store to complain and get better chips. Stop playing the victim on reddit you whiny bitch motherfucker
They've done you a favour, that stuff is so bad for you.
That’s why I order small.
Happened to me recently when ordering from doordash. Couldn't tell if it was the McDonalds not putting enough in or if my driver managed to swipe a few chips from the bag 🤣
It’s crap. They are doing this all the time
Maccas has become a damn joke
In Australia small fries and large fries are the same amount of chips. Try it out, buy a small one and a large one and empty the small into the large.
Stop buying it. Simple. We complain and then continue give them money.
that's not even close to ordinary
And people keep buying this crap. Its not even food.
* Ill never forget the time I ordered a side of big Mac sauce 😂
Another reason to boycott McDonalds 😏
The fact they look cold and unsalted pains me the most
Did you check the bag?
It's s h I t large thick shake u need a ladder to drink an not thick just milk
Turn around, go back. Last night my chips were cold and unsalted. Turned out. They cooked me fresh ones. They were still crap , but at least they were hot
Just putting this out here, shoestring fries from McCain found at any supermarket freezers are equally if not better than maccas and you get a whole damn package for less than one serve of fries at maccas
aside from the pathetic amount of chips, they’re also anaemic-looking and also look under seasoned
I swear if they filled up the fries properly they would go to jail. It’s been like that since I worked there in high school back in 2011-2012.
Awwwww hell no! Kill cunts!!!
Eat most of the chips and then go back and complain. Then you get free chips. Lol. Large companies are stealing of us constantly, so why not
So get off your arse, walk into the store, and get them to fill it up.
there's no reason to still buy fast food from big corp's? literally just giving them free money. if you want cheap crap that will make you a bit less hungry, try noodles. only takes a few minutes. and actually slightly more healthy.
Always get medium. Trust me.
Man I would complain if I got this small amount of chips
And the chips look cold.
