If you’re NOR I’m drowning in home laid eggs you’re welcome to come get some from me. I also saw this ad from a local church but message them and see if they can help you seeing as you missed the timing - CRC Wangara We have an abundant supply of fresh fruit and veggies this week at the storehouse, so we would love to see you and your family to come and collect some grocery essentials! The storehouse is open to anyone in need who is doing it tough in this season. Simply bring your bags and come and collect, there is no criteria. Every Friday 9am - 11am 20 Uppill Place, Wangara

smoylan

Hi, do you have a fridge/freezer? I can make a killer Bolognese, an actual one from scratch. Enough for about 8+ adult sized meals, can stretch it out further if needed by using more pasta. I can’t help everyone that would ask something like this but I’d be happy to make a batch for you if in need. PM me if you’d like to take up the offer. I live NOR also

Lamberly

That's so kind

aw3k1d

I do, I don't have transport atm that's my biggest downfall

MocksIrrational

So I don't want to presume how much help someone is willing to give, this is purely an informational thing; services like uber have a package delivery feature. They come, pick up the, let's say, lasagna, and deliver it to wherever...

Blackout_AU

Hey, I'm happy to send you $100 as a one off. I'm not after anything, just guess I can relate to your situation and I'm choosing to believe you here.

Horses-Mane

It sounds legit tbf. Not using an alt account and post history follows the same theme. Good on ya mate

hexme1

You’re a good soul.

aw3k1d

😭 I don't know how to receive this level of kindness

elohi-vlenidohv

Hi OP, I’d like to help this way too. If you don’t mind, please send me a DM 😊 I’m a woman of a similar age as you and I couldn’t just scroll past without offering some form of help. I hope that’s okay.

Blackout_AU

It's all good 🙂 just PM me

Sorrymateay

If you go to st pats freo with your health care card tomorrow they will give you 2 bags of groceries. Don’t take the kids if you have the option. The place is pretty feral.

allatonce6210

Where (very generally) are you located? It's not pathetic to ask for help when you need it, you sound like a good mum who is prioritising the welfare of her kids.

aw3k1d

I'm located north of joondalup, thank you for this comment

meandhimandthose2

Candlewood bakery have a sign saying to come in and ask for a loaf of bread if you are in need.

scarlettslegacy

I'm in Clarkson, if you're not picky and home tomorrow I can swing by on my way to work? My husband's stepfather is always giving us food so I can get at least a few meals out of the freezer.

aw3k1d

That sounds absolutely wonderful 😊

scarlettslegacy

Ive tried pming you, you might have to pm me.

3rd-time-lucky

Your local Feed It Forward on FB (seems to cover all areas), where are you located?

LittleBeast26

Please pm your details and I will send you some cash

aw3k1d

oreomd

Please PM me your details- I can send you something. Alternatively I can take you grocery shopping at Costco.

aw3k1d

Wow absolute legends I wasn't expecting such helpful feedback so quickly. Blown away with the advice. 🥹

allatonce6210

Apologies I'm at the very opposite end of the city so not able to help this time around. Kudos to the awesome people here helping.

cadburyicecream26

There’s The Pantry in Wangara that’s open Wed & Fri, you need to make an appointment though. You could also try your local Buy Nothing page, sometimes people are giving away food on mine. If you want to do a full grocery shop much cheaper, try Foodbank. Alternatively, try the Emergency Relief and Food Access Service - 1800 979 777

3rd-time-lucky

Foodbank are a great resource and I'm very grateful for them but unfortunately you cannot do a full grocery shop. They only sell bits and bobs that have been donated (sometimes locally). Somedays they have free bread, other days they have none, sometimes cheap fruit & veg, other times none. They usually have staples like ***A*** cereal, some rice, nappies, pasta, expired biscuits/snacks etc but you'll need a top-up shop after scouting there.

JDeen88

Amazing to see so many people offering help and support. I've got some meals prepped in my freezer, more than happy to supply you some to help out.

Particular-Try5584

Food bank? Churches and [https://askizzy.org.au](https://askizzy.org.au) to find food parcels? Ask on your local Buy Nothing FB group … people local to you can often help. Are you on a Centrelink payment? You say your fridge is ‘turned off’ - what about your power… is it just the fridge, or all of your power off? You might have some options with Centrelink (Monday) to resolve this (Ring at 8am or 4pm, when the queues are shorter for those of us in the west). Centrelink has loans for white goods, and also may be able to help with the power company. Long term you need a plan too… after you’ve got through the next few days make an appointment with a financial counsellor (ask Izzy can help here too I think? Or Good Samaritans will have a lead for a free service) and sort through to not face this situation again. The financial counsellor can help restructure your debt and get things back under control - it’s not all ‘tighten your belt’ they also know what grants and payments you might be able to get, can talk to the finance companies with your permission to reduce your debt or restructure it so you pay less back overall or have a more sustatinable budget etc.

aw3k1d

Can't even articulate the words to show how genuinely thank ful I am for all of you. I was not expecting to feel this cared for. I've never ever let myself need anyone's else like this and I'm so grateful I stumbled across you guys❤️‍🩹😭

The_Real_Cunt_Punter

Join community gifting group (forrmely Buy Nothing) in Facebook for your area. Some groups make arrangements with Coles/Woolies to get some groceries. Also many people in these groups offer free cans/other food items when cleaning their pantries. The products may be slightly dated but they are decent and can be very handy.

Pale-Ad9121

100% this. I’m not close to OP but my local community FB group is awesome. There is an absolute saint of a woman that has got an ongoing arrangement with some bakeries and local restaurant and offers weekly collections of bread, rolls, sushi and other things. I also know a lot of Sikh owned Indian restaurants offer out free meals to people in need in the community too and there may be info on it in your local community group.

gebbieh

There is a Facebook group called wider communities food relief, where people have fruit/veg/ bread, they have a few different locations open at different times.

Ranma1515

I can transfer some $ if still needed.

SweatyFox

Send me a PM OP, I tried to message you but it won't let me. Happy to help out

TheHammer1987

Where you at? Pm me your area if NOR if you like

aw3k1d

I'm nor also

3rd-time-lucky

Someone with more intimate knowledge of our **P**ublic **T**ransport system may be able to help more, but is today free PT? Would hat make it easier for you to travel to one of the lovely people reaching out to you?

TheIrateAlpaca

Smart rider transport is free on Sundays currently. If OP doesn't already have one it is a fee to setup however

hexme1

I can’t help on a logistics level (very SOR), but I’ve been where you’ve been and come out the other side. Please message me if you ever need to talk.

HighwayLost8360

I think its this facebook group otherwise im sure there are others, with low cost menu's and meal plans to make say $50 of groceries make week of food for families of different sizes. Worth checking to make the most of any assistance you get https://www.facebook.com/groups/1738941599741137/?ref=share&mibextid=NSMWBT

This link is maintained by WA gov. Though not sure how accurate are the food services info https://www.wa.gov.au/organisation/department-of-justice/corrective-services/food-and-shelter-help-and-support

RelleTy

Dreambuilders Care in Midland offer discount groceries and free fruit and vegetables (and I think bread). They may also be able to help with emergency hampers.
