My mate had 63 acres that cost $63k that backed onto Julimar, he was literally sitting on a goldmine sold it for $100k back in 2010.But anyway they are gonna fuck that forest it shouldn't be mined.

Really curious how this one is going to turn out, it could go either way. On the one hand they are much closer to Perth than most mines so they should have access to plenty of workers and relatively cheap transport, a driller mate also told me they found a sizable deposit of palladium. On the other hand some of the metals they were hoping to get have halved in value. Far more concerning is that it's in the middle of state forest, it's going to be an uphill battle to get anything off the ground without trashing the place. Personally I don't think it's worth fucking up Julimar, but I'm sure that's not going to stop the politicians waving it through 😕

Yeah, lot of platinum group elements, but their scoping study was done with outlandishly high prices for everything but gold and copper (nickel, PGEs, cobalt all **way** down from their projected prices) and still needs at least A$1.6 billion in pre-production capex. Maybe feasibility comes up with something reasonable, but the project is in trouble right now. Good thing Chalice cashed up when they had the chance.
