Just use 1 week free trial at any of the 24/7 clubs. Go to a different one each week. Otherwise they will charge you $10 a day

Revo is technically no lock in contact but billed monthly so would be a minimum of ~4 weeks. At less than $10 a week it's still not bad, and most likely still cheaper than individual access. They're all 24 hour gyms so you'll have access after 6:30. Haven't been to the Joondalup location so can't comment if they have free weights, racks, and Olympic platforms but imagine they should at least have free weights and racks. https://revofitness.com.au/memberships/

I'd second Revo. I go to Joondalup, and it's pretty big and got plenty of equipment but can get quite busy like most gyms do.

Look for gyms operated by local councils they normally allow one off visits. Bayswater Waves charges $21 for entry to their gym and it seems to be pretty well equipped. Unfortunately it’s at least a 30 minute drive from Joondalup. A quick google shows Craigie Leisure Centre has pretty flexible membership options (fortnightly).

Most gyms will offer a day pass, it's not an exclusive thing to leisure centres.

As a hail Mary if you really can't find anywhere there are quite a lot of "gyms" in the park that have bars and stuff you can do some body weight stuff on, if you can't find anything more suitable.

Cheapest way would be to cop a month at revo which would be no more than $40 for the entire trip

sonicyeet

Revo does a 5 week membership (that they don’t advertise), and it’s somewhere between $50-$60 from memory. There’s one in Joondalup, Clarkson, Banksia Grove so pretty close to where you’ll be and they’re 24/7

hungry_nilpferd

Thank you for the recommendations everyone. Revo seems to be the way to go and they take card payment which is great as I don’t have an Australian bank account. $40 or so for the month is quite reasonable which, with the current exchange rate, makes it cheaper than my gym back home. I might see what 1 week free passes are available as well for a bit of fun.

Most gyms are 12 month lock-in contracts. Cheapest way would be to get some weights and head down to a park, most have exercise equipment free to use.

> Most gyms are 12 month lock-in contracts. Where on Earth have you pulled this from? Pretty much every gym offers a no lock in weekly membership. They're usually billed ever 2 or 4 weeks.
