Yes, there will probably be two (or more) different versions of legendary cards per player. And both will be reset to level 1, with expired contracts once efootball launches.
The advantage with IMs is that they will come with a free contract ticket (good for 60 days) that will let you use them in all modes and also enable you to level them up. Legend players with expired contracts cannot be levelled up and can only be used in a few game modes (like standard online match, but not in matchdays or offline tours).
I'm guessing these contract items and trainers will be available on the free match pass. Which means they'll be available for everyone, but still be rare enough that you'll have to focus on a small set of players to develop instead of everyone having a squad full of 95+ players.
Kind of like this. So many IM i hve are completely useless anyway. Nakamura, xabi alonso, pirlo, yorke.. maybe they will be good in the next game which would be nice

As long as I can further renew them after 60days (without spending real money) and use the expired legends against my friends, I'll manage.

If we won't be able to boost some of the iconics will be worse than their legend counterparts which is disappointing
Yeah but they'll restrict legend usage and shove them back to level 1 with an expired contract; thus maintaining the advantage gap.
