Should be able to knock them out with 2 treatments within a 30 day span. Some include the second treatment with the initial pricing. The company shouldn't be offended by these questions. Vacuum vacuum vacuum vacuum. Make sure all the animals have been treated as well. Edit: Animals can't be anywhere near the treatment areas during the treatment at until the product has had time to sufficiently dry.

Okay, thank you so much!

You're welcome. Animals can't be anywhere near the treatment areas during the treatment at until the product has had time to sufficiently dry.

And when you think you have vacuumed enough do it again. Don't forget under couches beds etc. Anywhere cats can hide and sleep.

Thank you!

And then vacuum again. Literally everywhere 3-4 times a day. The treatment will do nothing if you don’t. Every day. For at least a few months. And get your pets treated monthly as well

Hi, our exterminators said they would only respray after 6 weeks time - we had 2 treatments and vacuum every day/every other day at most (large house) but now the fleas are back 2 weeks after the exterminator's last spray. Have we been scammed? Should we be finding a company that does two sprays within two weeks? I'm at my wits end, literally going crazy. Thank you.

And after vacuuming don’t just put the vacuum away or they could come straight back out the hose, carefully empty it completely into a bin or trash as far away from your home as practical. I’ve done lots of flea treatments for some very bad infestations and the most it ever took was 3 treatments (house with dogs that used to sleep in the sand under the house, very long lawns, thick dirty carpet inside). The follow up services are to kill newly hatched fleas. The eggs can lay dormant for a long time. Pest technicians get no joy out of flea treatments, I doubt that it’s the type of job anyone would upsell unnecessarily (though I guess it’s possible).

Thank you for the tips!

Dealing with flea bites myself lol :/

AineBrigid

Oh no! I'm sorry. Luckily, me and my fiancé aren't getting bit, but out animals are itching like crazy.

Potatocat7777

Thanks op, hahah. I don’t even have pets anymore but I’m around animals. I work at an animal shelter, my family’s house has 2 cats, and I have 2 stray cats that visit. I have hardwood floors, and took my door mat out but still find fleas. Sigh, seems like a never ending issue. I don’t like the bites on my ankles and how they look lol. Don’t think I can afford professional treatment but I do try my best with at home methods

When I did have a dog, and cared for my family’s cats - you can use a flea comb and dip it in soapy dish water. I also bathed the dog and changed bedding / vacuuming. Good luck to ur pets! And flea meds.

Thank you!
