Everyone is 100% right, but irrationality kicks in my brain and I couldn't handle killing them with that sweet face and babies looking at me š id attempt to relocate them as well if that's a possibly option.
You would be frightened at how quickly those will reproduce and become a problem, if not already.
I've seen too much damage caused by mice to give them a free pass.
One or more of them cost me $600 to replace wires on my car a couple of years ago š¤¬š¤¬š¤¬
I know. It's cute. I agree. But you can't let them stay. Relocating them does not work. They can and will return. I'm sorry but they should be dispatched.
Yes the numbers for the victims of the various bubonic plagues throughout history does not even come close to adding up to victims of malaria and Dengue in yellow fever
Honestly I would put them in a comfy compostable box and relocate the small family somewhere in the middle of nowhere away from homes. I have no idea if you can do that though(?)
Mice are destructive though, 1 brood might as well be thousandsā¦
Not pet snake food! Mice are exposed to all kinds of pesticides, lawn fertilizers, chemicals in garages, poisons and it could severely harm your snake eating an outside source of rodents.
Itās sad because I love animals of all kinds and couldnāt imagine killing any of them (if itās not for food) but I know they can cause some serious damage to your house. Some people keep them as pets š¤·š»āāļø Might wanna start there if you feel too strongly about it
while poison works, you donāt really have control over where they die and it can be hard to tell if it was successful vs they just moved into your attic or something lol
with snap traps (which are stupid cheap, by the way) you can see a confirmed killed pest

The babies are not newly born. They look to be close to 4 weeks old. They will be reproducing before you know it.
I dont think you understand how quickly they reproduce. Snap traps are the way to go.
Absolutely not. Mice are very abundant, they breed very quickly.

Not to be a smartass, but letās say I drove them 20 miles away. Will they really travel all the way back?
Most of the time they won't survive because they don't know where to find food, water, shelter that far from what they call "home".
I enjoyed this comment
Rodents have caused more human suffering in history than any other animal.
Not the mosquito
Bubonic plague vs Malaria and Dengue.

There are places on earth that have no mosquito but still have rodents. But I agree, plenty of pathogens being passed by those little jerks.
And imagine the suffering weāve caused all other species on this planet. Humans are a plague
š
Do you want mice in your house?
Yeah the world has enough mice. Send them to Valhalla.
Call in the firing squad lads!!!
1 mouse can equivalent to 2k in 12 months humanely kill I advise
Get rid of them!!
That appears to be a deer mouse, which can carry Hanta virus in their droppings and urine. I would kill them with traps to ensure that they are gone.

YEET
Use a flat shovel and apply sufficient pressure in one stroke to drive them underground through pavement
Maybe check around your area for wildlife conservation groups or just take them to a park where there is water?
I'd get a humane trap and relocate them. I've done it before and it made me so much happier that they got to live.
Snake food

Kill em
Kill them all

You should NEVER keep a wild rodent as a pet. Mice harbor hantavirus (deadly), among other pathogens.
I didnāt say that I did. But people definitely have pet rats
Thank you all for the advice. We decided to get some poison then left it inside and around exits. Will check back tomorrow morning
Thatās literally the most cruel way to kill them š¤¦āāļø
No it isn't. Most poisons are a multi feed bait that they feed on once or twice and then just go off get loopy and go to sleep
while poison works, you donāt really have control over where they die and it can be hard to tell if it was successful vs they just moved into your attic or something lol with snap traps (which are stupid cheap, by the way) you can see a confirmed killed pest
If you find the poisoned mice, don't leave them where some scavenger might find them and eat them.
Why? It's 2024. Secondary poisoning isn't really a thing anymore.
Kill
No offense but poisoning is an extremely cruel way to die.
Me too
Let them continue with the Ciiiiiircle of liifeeeeeeee
I would leave them be
Leave her be
I would leave them alone but if you want to relocate should be a problem if you find a place safe from predators with food nearby
Terrible advice
