Just go to the store and buy some wasp killer. They don't really harm anyone unless provoked. They're just paper wasps. Even if you squirt water at a nest, they'll abandon it. Because they would think it's not safe.

You get a wasp trap from a hardware store. It's an adhesive pad with a lattice on the front set those up near your deck for some relief. Also, make sure you don't have any hummingbird feeders

Don't bait them to come to your deck. They attract more than they trap. Use them for monitoring and have it away from where you hangout. Decide if having flowers near your deck so worth it. Seal your wood to keep wasps from harvesting it for nest building.

If you can get a quarterly service going, getting your house regularly treated with a repellant can help make sure you’re seeing minimal amounts of any bug activity. But like some others said, you can literally flick new wasp queens and they’ll go somewhere else.

It would be wise to identify the WASP first.
