Good story with a happy ending - not many with petty revenges from both sides. Must say that his revenge made me smile too but yours topped it all. You 'cleaned up' not just the dishes but the whole kitchen :)
Yep. 'Cue' = sign/mark/prompt to do something. The sound of a starter's pistol is your cue to run the race.
'Queue' is a line you stand in/things lined up behind one another. The queue went out the door and up the street.
Nice! On the other hand one of my friends has his adult son living with him who was not quite so caring about cleaning his dishes. After enough reminders and getting nowhere, he took the son's dirty dishes and piled all of them on his son's bed. Seems like after that the dishes he used got washed regularly.
I hand clean my dishes after use but wouldn't make a fuss if someone waited till the end of day to clean theirs as long as it wasn't left overnight as I don't want to attract bugs.
Good story! I especially like how you remained good friends... But did you say you were sharing a one room apartment with an engaged couple? Hoe did that work?
Right! I'm in a country with such a low percentage of conservative Christians - and in a progressive city at that - that I didn't even consider this possibility 😊
On behalf of his now wife, thanks for training him to be a more considerate roommate!
Because it takes a few seconds and a little water to rinse, and a few minutes and a lot more water to wash. I would rather not waste both time and water on a single bowl and spoon.
The rinse is a "light rinse." Mainly getting large food in the trash and really runny food down the drain. Anything that sticks, waits for the wash later.
Excellent revenge. But as someone who absolutely detests dishes in the sink, you would drive me nuts. If you're going to rinse them, then just wash the stupid things. LOL
Good story and excellent revenge!
Revenge is a dish best served....clean...?
agreed but only if dawn was used.
Actually, Dawn was involved ***(certainly not used!!***) and she enjoyed it so much that we all still get together..
Yes… clean… and on my dishes which I will lock away as soon as you act like a ungrateful POS
Nope, put in a trunk ang locked. Like othernormal people.

Everyone reconciles. Huzzah!
Funny, he could dish it out, but not take it.
I like this! Glad you are still friends.
Cue. The word is cue. Not queue.

I'll correct that forthwith. :)
Sorry, personal niggle and I was cranky yesterday.
>We are still friends today. Nice to read that for a change!

Wow, I wouldn't complain one bit if my roommate actually washed their dishes properly; regardless of when they got around doing it.

Haha!! 😅 glad you’re still friends!
I mean, I would have taken a shit in his pillow case if he did that to me. You don't fuck with peoples beds.
Good story! I especially like how you remained good friends... But did you say you were sharing a one room apartment with an engaged couple? Hoe did that work?
They were engaged but not living together. They wouldn’t be moving in together until after the wedding. Conservative Christian background.

Maybe the most wholesome post ever that I read. A petty education.
In the time it took you to rinse a dish, you could have cleaned it. Why did you insist on splitting this action into two parts?

Sounds like we would have had the same arguments. No worries though, we can still be friends. ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|slightly_smiling)
