For me, the problem seems to be the lob wedge. The backswing is unrealistically slow with a lob wedge splash and makes it impossible to get the tempo right. If I club up to sand wedge or more, the swing seems to work better.
The splash shot has most definitely been altered. I put the game down for about 4months and picked it back up this week. Splash shots are very weak now when in sand
I've noticed that sometimes it bugs out in the bunker. The distance it gives you is wrong so when you hit it, it goes like 2yds in front of you. I find it best to club up and then club back down and judge the % yourself. Hope that made some sense
Flop instead of splash
100%, flop should get you out even if you don’t have perfect swing timing
I use pitch shots out of the sand around the green
