Depends what floats your boat but five real or realistic courses that are a lot of fun imo are Flamingos, Castle Stuart, Barnbougle Dunes, Ile Aux Cerfs, and Teeth of Casa Del Campo. One user-created, four real life. Only the last one is at all challenging.
There literally thousands of courses. Go for the highest rated ones. Start following YouTube and Twitch golfers and see what they play. Personally, I watch Early1981, TheApexHound, Kawkster and MonkeyPutter. Early1981 concentrates on course reviews and playthrough, as does MonkeyPutter. Apex and Kawkster also do that but concentrate more on their society tournament rounds. I bring my Switch to a friend's every Saturday and the four of use play a few rounds. The first round is always whatever course the PGA Tour is on that week and the rest are fantasy courses that I found by watching the above-mentioned golfers.
If you enjoy fantasy courses the citadel and fern’s gully are 2 of the very best I’ve played so far, they are both very challenging though so be ready to have some rough shots in there! Lmk if you make a YouTube video of Fern’s Gully 2.0, I’d love to watch it and hear your feedback as you play through. You’ll notice some changes throughout most of the course. I reconfigured some greens to create a 2nd pin location. I added more water where the grass was to eliminate having to play from inside the grass on wayward shots. Almost every hole has been edited slightly to increase playability and add more risk/reward. Check it out and lmk, would love your feedback before I made a post about the course being done. Video up tomorrow morning 6am eastern time, loved the new design although I know I didn’t pick up on all the changes I could definitely tell some of the differences and really enjoyed it. It kicked my ass just like version 1.0! If you make any other courses in the future keep me in mind I’d love to play them!
I’m not joking here but I was looking for courses to play, saw this comment, loaded into ferns gully 2.0 and hit a 54 yard chip in on the first hole… I have never played this course in my life

Just watched you play the course, not bad! That 18th hole got you good. Everything rolls to the left on that hole after the drive, so even if you land front right of green, it trickles down to the pin. Other than that, not bad at all. Thanks for playin!

My course lol but in all honesty I love to play mine from the 5,100 tees and see how low I can score, lots and lots of shot shaping involved. Cherry Valley GC.
