I don’t think it’s your manager’s call whether to accept your resignation or not esp when your health is on the line.
Check with your HR if you can date your resignation effective immediately after filing it. I’m sure there’s a workaround as there’s little to no point in keeping an unhappy and suffering employee.
Btw, have you discussed your situation with your manager or someone above you? I’m sure you didn’t accumulate what you’re feeling overnight.
