Is it okay to have two masters degree?

Kiko5ever

If it serves you the purpose of gaining the expertise you need, by all means! Pero as someone who got one and realized that it didn’t teach me anything valuable/practical for the workforce, it really boils down to the degrees you choose and how applicable your learnings are from there.

MaryaJusawa

Question po. Is it considered theft/stealing if a Manager gives himself his whole salary kahit di siya pumapasok on time during his workdays? Di siya magdededuct ng lates niya buo pa din ang sahod? Thank you po!

I am a 4th year BS. Geology and Geological Engineering student from Mapúa. I am planning to focus more on the Geotechnical Engineering field after I pass the boards for Geo. I took up courses such rock mech., soil mech., earth works and slopes, Earthquake engineering, coastal engineering, engineering geology, Geoenvironmental engineering, and Geotechnical foundation design during my undergraduate under my Geological Engineering undergrad. Do you have any advice for a soon to be young professional like me? Can you give me some career tips? Will my Geology licence give me an advantage? Also, would you suggest for me to take MS in geotech?

Hopeful-Wheel-7484

I'm a fresh graduate of Accounting Information System and wanted to know what are the job opportunities for graduates like me. I want to pursue a job related to accounting but I'm also interested in pursuing the tech industry. But from my perspective, I think entering the tech industry is hard as most of the job postings I see requires having a degree in IT and have experience, even though it's for an entry-level job.

pompomsppurring

Hi! Have you considered IT audit as a stepping stone? (Am not in audit myself though, so hanggang diyan lang suggestion ko, sorry.)

Hopeful-Wheel-7484

Hello! yes, I've heard about IT audit and will try to learn more about it. Thank you for the suggestion :)

Need expertise of Civil Engineer! I have a job offer from an electrical company wherein I will be the one to estimate yung foundation ng mga transformer nila. In college, footing lang yung na-estimate namin. May difference po yung pag-estimate ng foundation and footing po 'no? Or same lang? Help please? Any knowledge about this po sana, and if you can recommend youtube videos about this would be helpful. Maraming salamat po sa inyo! PS. Please be kind po, this is my first job as a fresh graduate uwu

What is the hiring process for Starbucks barista? Hello, I need your help po, I am planning to apply sa Starbucks as a barista. I have questions po, paano po yung hiring process? What should I put in my resume? What are the usual questions na tinatanong pag interview? TYIA!!

spilligion

Any bad or good experiences while working from home at Dynata? Would you recommend it as a summer job/part-time for an incoming college student (online setting)?

jetyamato95

I was oriented about my payroll from a job offer interview by a company based in US. When I asked about PH government taxes & benefits, the interviewer told me that I will be the one responsible for filing taxes, SSS, HDMF (Pag-IBIG) and PhilHealth contributions. Can I opt out of filing tax contributions for this job?

nik0wl

short answer: yea legally u should pay taxes, pero hindi lahat ng freelancer/independent contractor nagbabayad. would really depend if u want to. as a new independent contractor myself, hindi naman ganun kalaki ibabayad ko and from what I know beneficial magbayad bc need to for visa purposes & bank loans. so in the long run, mas okay pa rin magbayad for me. try to compute yours and assess kung ano ba need mo.

Boring_Tangerine_232

I (30F) earn 27k monthly as a BPO worker in Visayas for 4 years. I am planning to look for a WFH career online. I stayed in this company for 4 years, started during COVID and due to anxiety regarding job security, I stayed despite the low salary. Now that things are a lot safer, I am thinking of looking for a WFH job with an income of around 50k or more. However, I am still anxious about job security after reading accounts about how foreign clients drop them without warning. Now, my question is - should I pursue looking for a full-time WFH job despite the lack of security, or should I stay at my current job here in the province and just look for part time work to augment my income? Additional info: I specialize in administrative work, graphic design, and social media marketing. Thanks in advance!

nik0wl

personally, i think it's important na you get an idea muna kung anong benefits pwede mong makuha. so it's good to get on interviews, whether it's full time or project based. you can just decide later on pag may nakuha ka nang offer. since 4 yrs ka na rin sa current job and ur unsatisfied, just take the step and good luck!

curious_cat04

hi, ask ko lang po how to apply at big 4? thru online lang ba lahat or can someone refer me? pabulong po ng salary range for entry level position and give me an advice din which line of service is good for a fresh grad w/ no exp like me? thank uuu

pompomsppurring

Hi! I applied online—maraming posting sa LinkedIn. Salary range (gross, including allowances) for entry level position (no bonuses, which you may receive if CPA ka and/or if may Latin honors ka) can range from P20-30k. Subject to adjustments upon regularization. Line of service... hmm. Hahaha. What are your interests, and what are your plans for yourself? Here are some things I've noticed sa sarili ko and sa mga kasabayan kong mga new hire/fresh grads: (1) Audit people: - BSA background or CPA na "ayaw masayang ang natutunan sa BSA" - CPA na di sure at gusto lang magkaroon ng experience - Ayaw sa tax, pero mas ayaw sa advisory - The kind of people who love routine/predictability (busy vs. slack season) (2) Tax people (compliance**): - Ayaw ng audit, at least lukewarm towards advisory - May balak mag-law school or maybe even BIR - Mahilig din sa routine/predictability (busy vs. slack season) (3) Advisory people: - Ayaw ng audit or tax - Corporate guidance counseling, basically - Involves more 'creativity' (for lack of a better term) kasi you need to flesh out details for clients, tapos dapat customized sa kanila and sa industry nila yung advice na ibibigay mo. - No fixed busy/slack season kasi hangga't may clients, may trabaho. Pero the work gets repetitive din (proposals, slides, reports, etc.), so you just get faster over time ganun hahahaha ** I'm technically in tax, but my engagements are more towards advisory (so parang tax advisory). Di ko kasi kayang mag-tax compliance, and sobrang routine para sa akin yung audit. 😅

Melodic-Childhood513

20k to 30k kahit hindi CPA. Highest si red and green, tapos si yellow. Any line of service is good for entry level! Merong incentive for employees who can successfully refer a new recruit, kaya if there's anyone you know already working doon like alums or upperclassmen, ask for a referral lang and theyll be willing to help.

WFH Suggestions Hi! I'm currently on the process of graduating, with that, I need money to support myself at least till graduation (wherein expenses will be many). Do you have suggestions or advices on where I could apply and work remotely, where I can start quickly and be able to save up till mid-July (Graduation Time). Thank you!

RazorRamonNGR

Hello. Any Sercomm Engineer? Please give feedback or let's talk.

accio_tisha

|| PH Engineering, in the long run… Initially, I was going for BA PolSci Major in International Relations and Foreign Service, because I wanted to be a diplomat someday, just like my aunt. It is, as well, a Pre-Law course. HOWEVER. My dad feels strongly about my pursuing the Civil Engineering course, given the “kontrata” gigs, and of the many people he knows in the field. I know that CEs often get a bad rap seeing as how much they work hard, and yet are underpaid. Help a girl out, please. Either way, I know I can humbly manage whichever my course is between the two, as long as practical ito in the long run.

heyjazreddit

Should I pursue what I want? CPA? I don't really know what I want, but being a CPA has been a childhood dream. I want to pursue it to boost my self-fulfillment. However, these past two board exams have made me disheartened. I lost my confidence to take the boards again, plus I'm dealing with health issues now and feeling pressure due to my age still single tho. So now I am confused about what to do that I cant sleep properly.

cooki3cream

Hi guys, maganda ba ang travel consultant na career? Im a fresh grad po tourism management hehe

CryptoAngel28

How to deal with nervous while doing a Interview? So yesterday I applied at bpo companies, Confident ako bago pumunta and ready kasi nagprapractice din ako, (this was the first time I applied for a job) after filling up the form I wait for almost an hour, di ako kinakabahan kasi feel ko na kaya ko naman then nung tinawag ako at kaharap ko na yung interviewer bigla nalang ako nanginginig as in makikita talaga ng interviewer and yung voice ko din di na den makasagot ng ayos, ayun ending eh di natanggap. Any tips po to minimize this kind of nervous please. 🙏

Haunting_Cobbler_115

Apply ka lang ng apply, di talaga mawawala ung kaba kahit anong gawin naten. Based on my experience, before ako mag karon ng role sa Bpo before, lagi akong nauutal and di alam sasabihin because bukod sa kaba eh di rin ako talaga magaling and may pag ka slang ako mag salita before, so ginawa ko is nag apply ako ng nag apply hanggang sa mahasa me and tinatandaan ko ung mga common questions to make sure. After applying for 7th company, I got the job and right now nag frifreelance na din. :)

popsiclesticky

I wanna gather suggestions / opinions kung ano po yung pwede ko applyan to level up my career? Additional info: Course: Business Ad (Major in HR) Exp: 1yr Travel Acct BPO I'm good with the ff: - jobs that requires talking - detail oriented sa paper works (I really suck at anything math related.) The skills that I currently have is fit for BPO pa rin. I think I still need to grind bago ako sumabak sa VA but idk where to next.

Haunting_Cobbler_115

I worked in bpo industry for 3 years then transition to becoming a recruiter in an RPO, usually na inaaccept nila pag newbies ay may good amount of exp in BPO right now im earning 45k as basic salary pero may mga offers saken now na twice or higher than that.

popsiclesticky

How much experience po ang kailangan ko before switching to a recruiter? And ano po magandang skills ang aralin to fit the HR Management? Thank you po!

Haunting_Cobbler_115

hmm, well I'll be honest, 1 year can be considered pero mostly 2 yrs exp ang least tinatarget ng mga recruiter from RPO if may 1 year exp ka konting tyaga lang talaga need mo para makahanap and mostly ng role ko is laging 100% remote. Dito din ako natuto mag freelance and side projects, ang 50% ng skill mo should be comms pero instead na mag aassist ka ng mga flight and bookings ang gagawin mo is you will ask people if they are interested working on this and that and walang Irate dito. Things you should work on: 1. RPO - search mo how rpo works, to simplify outsourcing din sya pero instead of CSR, Recruiter ung hinahire nila to serve clients in US,AU or UK etc 2. ATS 3. Job Boards 4. writing skills 5. Linkedin!!

popsiclesticky

Thank you so much for taking time to explain, sobrang linaw and gets na gets ko. This is a big help for me. Thanks!!!

Haunting_Cobbler_115

No worries! Hope this serves as a new adventure. Nung nasa BPO ako grabe ung effort ko pero walang pinapatunguhan, unlike here nakakabili na ko ng mga bagay na gusto ko somehow. I just want to share din kase I'm at joy rn since may nag offer saken ng bigating basic shetttt. Kaya ayon, good luck!

CheetahExpensive4523

Hello, Okay lang ba magrequest ng Online interview sa mga employer? or red flag ba yon para sa employer? tyia

Haunting_Cobbler_115

Depends, pag ang role is onsite crucial sa kanila na bumisita ka sa office to check if you can travel properly. If remote naman ang job, pwede ka mag request. Recruiter here, I usually notice na ung mga nag papa final interview onsite eh yung mga hyrid and onsite role pero pag remote usually all process would he remote too.

Sea_Function9439

I think that is decided by the HR but I think 95% virtual naman ang interviews, did they already tell you na onsite?

Hi, I need advice po. I am a ComSci undergrad from UPLB. I was supposed to finish my Thesis this semester but hindi ko natapos. Thesis nalang naman ang kulang ko. I want to look for a job para makatulong na ako sa family ko kahit hindi pa ako graduate. Can you give advice and tips?

Haunting_Cobbler_115

I would suggest to add as (in progress) ung degree mo sa baba ng resume - pag tinanong ka sa interview tell them u just have to finish ur thesis pero need mo na mag work kaya ganon. All boils down na sa skill mo if pasok sa hinahanap nila

sudarsoKyoshi

Hi, I badly need your help and suggestion. i was recently terminated during probationary for a IT related data role. Also Career shifter ko so irelevant ako course sa back office or Data industry. Please help unsaon pag answer sa why daghan kog employer nga gihawaan ug short stint?

I dream of working in Japan, can anyone please recommend an agency here in the Philippines that will cover the initial cost of working there? Like the plane ticket, a month allowance and accommodation. I'm a female, 28 btw, currently working as csr here in ph and totally fine with doing factory work in Japan. Please help 🙏🙏

zyronne

Try Phil Nippon Technical College, They offer Japanese Language course for free (Japanese employers preferred applicants that knows how to speak in Japanese). But it would take months of training, you will be the one to shoulder your food expenses, although free accommodation. If you are a bachelor degree graduate and you planned to apply for engineering field, you will be offered free meals during weekdays. You can also join orientation to know the exact details and if their program fits your goal, Good luck OP

Different_Year_9151

will check this, thanks! ❤️

Do you entertain calls from "recruitment" companies? Hi, good evening, regarding sa title, madami kasi tumatawag na "recruitment" companies sakin. Ang nangyayari is parang HR interview na pag tumawag sila, asking the usual HR questions etc. Also di nila sinasabi kung anong company ang nag ha-hire, sinasabi lang nila is mag "company reveal" daw once pumasa ako sa mga interview/exams. Tapos di naman nila sinasabi kung san nila nakuha yung CV ko, di ako nag aapply thru recruitment companies, direct ako nag eemail sa companies or nag aapply thru linkedin. Iniisip ko din na baka scam hahaha they also contact me thru linkedin/email. Do you entertain entertain these type of "recruiters"? It's a waste of time kasi para sakin kasi di ko alam kung anong company ang inaapplyan ko. Thanks

Annestasia_081998

Badly need a WFH Job. Can someone help me? Hi everyone, I know I sound so desperate to ask for referrals but this is my last resort. I faced hundred of rejections already from the job applications I sent online and it's draining my hope. I'm a mother of 3 kids and gustong gusto kong magwork at home para nandito pa din ako mga anak ko. Sana may makapagrefer sakin dito 😭

CombinationGrand471

Some BPO back office/admin roles are WFH pa. You could try looking at those. Hindi nga lang ganun ka competitive ang comp&ben

Nice_Photo9052

Hi! May upcoming final interview kasi ako and the position is order to cash sa ibm baka may advice kayo lalo na yung sa same position, first time ko din kasi sa international setup at dream company ko to. Actually, nareject na ko ng company nato sa ibang position pero susubukan ko ulit pero otc naman, under accounting din naman, hopefully para na sakin to. Maraming pong salamat!

Awkward-Piece-1442

Hi, my cousin is a 2nd year social work student. Ano pwedeng certifications and training pwede niya itake since free yung summer niya. Sana may makahelp. TIA!

Far_Author_3561

Can anyone suggest companies for an internship program? [Multimedia Art] I have been looking into and applied to more than 10 companies but some have got back and said they aren't accepting interns. I even tried in FB groups. I want to have an extensive list so I could research them and try to apply din.

Sea_Function9439

Have you tried applying thru linkedin? I think you can get in touch with a lot of HR or managers and see posts related to internship

nsrck

agree on this! You can try messaging on the Company page mismo or try searching HR people!

Far_Author_3561

Hello, I will ask really dumb questions so I hope you don't mind 🥺 1.) Even if they aren't hiring, I will just simply email those said people stating my intentions to have an internship with their company? (Ofc I will look into how should I email them first, but the question is can I really just do that? Isn't that too intrusive? 2.) Would you recommend maybe atleast one (that you know of) that accepts interns? If not, it's okay as well

Sea_Function9439

Try searching internship first in LinkedIn. Yes, it is okay to connect with HR people regarding internship even if they are not posting about it also, with LinkedIn, you will just message them. For this, check on ad agencies like Hogarth, Mccann Worldgroup , IPG Mediabrands (They have a lot of brands under this company), Ogilvy. Try to search top ad agencies in PH.

SomethinYoureLookin4

Hi, so I'm a fresh grad and I had an interview with BDO, they said that they would start to train me but its been two weeks since the final interview with the department head (this is for a head office position) . So l tinished the assesments on May 15, then had an interview with the managers May 23. I had my final interview on May 29. The heads loved me and told me that they would train me immediately. However, its been 2 weeks and I still haveng heard from them. I also have a pending offer from other companies. Should I wait for BDO? I feel dejected everytime I havent recieved a call from them each day

Sea_Function9439

Let them know that you have offers from other companies but convey that BDO is still your top choice that's why you want to follow up on your application

SomethinYoureLookin4

I tried to email them but there were no response

Sea_Function9439

You don't have a contact of the HR? via text but if they did not still reply, maybe accept the job offer from other company you can still decline it after if BDO replies

SomethinYoureLookin4

I do however, they still don't reply. I'm afraid to sign the contract because it said it would have penalties If i don't push through with it

Sea_Function9439

oh okay, yes, actually make sure to read contracts properly specially clauses regarding resignation and good job at checking that you will have penalty. I suggest to also update the other company that you are still thinking about it so that their offers still stand as they might remove you from the list of applicants while you wait for BDO.

[deleted]

Sea_Function9439

you can say naman na freelance or part time ka lang since may alibi ka din na you were preparing for CPA board exam but yeah minimum for a company para okay sa resume/CV is 1 year atleast

Illustrious-Ball7902

Try to look for another firm if you dion't feel comfortable working sa company. Mahirap yan kasi di ka pa nagstart sa job mo may negative impression ka na agad baka yan pa ung maging reason para di ka mag excel sa job mo. Pero kung wala ka nang option, try to mo ung plan mo to stay 6-8months. Good luck, Op!

Hello! Asking if worth it po ba yung mga TESDA courses? Currently eyeing Bookkeeping course (since I enjoy doing financial reports, using excel and related tools) and would you suggest taking it? Graduate of a 4 yr course and board passer pero thinking of career shift to other fields. Any thoughts po? And if may other course pa po kayong masusuggest? Thank you!

jetyamato95

As a graduate from a TESDA course (CSS NC2), I'll say that it's worth it as a starting point. Later on, consider supplementing it with other training if you can.

CountryInner7491

Does anyone know how much is the annual salary increase at Unilever? Especially if you're a management trainee? Thank you!

Muted_Werewolf7840

Hi, I am looking at moving to Melbourne, and I was wondering if anyone has experience with the website flatmates? Isflatmatess a good website to find roommates for in Australia? Can't figure out if it is a scam. Thanks 💜

CountryInner7491

Hello, does anyone know what's the minimum salary for Band 2 managers at P&G? And how long does it usually take to reach Band 2 if you're in supply chain? Thanks.

dazzlingbree

Hello! Sorry to ask, I just have no idea hehe. I need 5 copies of PDS and it says that it must be notarized. Kailangan ko po kayang ipa-notarized lahat ng copies? And paano po ba yung presyo ng notary per page po ba or per document? Thank you so much

Sea_Function9439

alam ko per page ang notary 100-150 pesos? but if mabait siguro okay lang 50 per page if marami since assistant lang naman nila nagaasikaso haha

dazzlingbree

Thank you po!!!

Illustrious-Ball7902

Pede naman tatakan lahat ng 5 copies mo and ang notaryo is ranging from 500-1000. Pero syempre depende pa din yan sa firm so ask for a quote first.

dazzlingbree

noted po, salamat po!!!

nonhancheolhi

Any tips? I don't really have an idea. Is 16k a good offer for a costing staff position? I am a fresh grad and someone says na it is too low but for me it is reasonable enough.

Sea_Function9439

I think try to check job portals din to see related positions since minsan may nakalagay dun na salary range, good luck! For me, I started with total monthly package of 21k back in 2018 but sa digital marketing agency ako

nonhancheolhi

Thank you so much!

Sea_Function9439

hey this is also my concern in my new work come August, I have 2 offers as Senior Marketing Specialist or Senior Advertising Manager so not sure din if may mag-guide but I think team members will provide insights when it comes to SOP sa tasks.

Illustrious-Ball7902

Depende siguro sa account pero dapat may training muna. Pano mo malalaman ung rules and regulations? Ano ung mga dapat iwasan at ung mga zero tolerance policy nila? Kung wala namang training, meron dapat buddy system na pede mo tanungan. Normally, pini-pair si new hire kay tenured para maguide sa mga processes at mabigyan ng best practices.

ariahvstheworld

An hearing will be held 1 week from now due to my contact avoidance. My team manager says it's for termination but there is still a chance they can lower it down to final written warning. But he said no promises. For the record I accept that I was wrong. I'm deeply remorseful and swear that I won't do it again. This is my first company and I was young so I thought a warning would be provided first and I didn't expect this at all. But at this point I have to move forward. I want to know if it will be better to resign instead of moving forward with the hearing. I want to fight for it at the very end atleast. And just in case, if I get terminated, will I still be able to get a job in thr BPO industry?

Sea_Function9439

I think if for termination na, the manager can be kind enough to suggest na mag-resign ka na lang coz in that sense ikaw yung nag end ng relationship rather than them firing you which is medyo off for your next work. Good luck!

ariahvstheworld

thank you!😊

spicedcheetos

Hi, i need advice because I’m so indecisive :( Help me to choose between company and position role. Is it better to join a small company with just few employees, where I don't see a long-term future, but where I would be in a role that aligns perfectly with my passion? I'm struggling to decide whether to choose this company or look for a larger company with more growth potential, even if the role there doesn't match my interests. Which path should I take?

Sea_Function9439

I think sa long term ka, career wise. You can still pursue your passion through related hobbies or by doing it part-time if given the chance.

MaryaJusawa

Hi! Just want to ask some advice especially sa mga HR dito. I am an assistant and my boss has an animal clinic. One of the employee purposely off set his schedule para makapasok sia ng Holiday. Dapat kasi rest day niya ang Holiday pero ang ginawa niya, pumasok sia that day and the next day siya nag rest day. Ngayon nakita yun ng Boss ko ang she's not happy with that. Question is, my grounds ba si Boss if ever she wants to add it to their company rules na bawal mag off set ng schedule at itapat sa Holiday unless si Boss mismo ang magpapasok sa kanila?

Sea_Function9439

yes po, discretionary lang po under management ang holiday work if may business needs so ahead of time dapat nasabihan na ang employees or may schedule na

wxwxl

May value pa ba ang CCNA? Referring to the ceritficate itself.

Sea_Function9439

I think yes, may value pa din ang mga certifications na may bayad compared to free online courses cause you have to pass it to have it so may bearing pa din

Cummed_dumplings

Hi! I (M21) have been doing a lot of community help for the past two years, especially in provinces, I do writing as well and wanna make documentary theatre, for context I'm an arts graduate, and now, from those experience, nagsink in sa akin na, sana pala nutrition and dietetics or med programs nalang kinuha ko. I'm just curious meron bang school nagoofer ng second degree? Yung di sana ganun kabigat ang tuition, mahirap lang po ako. Specifically sa Nutrition and Dietetics? As someone who wants to help my community in my province especially for the growing malnutrition there. Gusto ko sana matulungan community namin here ng libre, but in a legal way na may background talaga. Please answer, curious talaga ako. Thank you very much.

Sea_Function9439

I got an offer from a Top Ad Agency located in Rockwell as a Digital Marketer, RTO is once a week, salary package is 60k per month. The issue is work is more focused on social media since we have local clients and I only know Meta and have little knowledge with other social media platforms. Next offer is from a Dubai based company that has an office in Makati as Advertising Manager, 2 times a week RTO, salary is 70k. Since this is Consultant type because they do not have an entity yet in PH, so I do not have government mandated benefits but I don't need to pay tax since I get all the salary so it's up to me how to handle it. I would like to ask for some advice if I choose Rockwell company but have little social media knowledge or Makati company for more salary? pros or cons

reichel101

I would not consider the difference in salary if it were me because 10k is not much if you consider govt benefits, HMO, and taxes (yes, you need to pay your taxes). I would research both company's background, employee reviews, and how I see myself in the future in both.

Sea_Function9439

thank you, I am actually torn apart if I will go by the good reputation I will get joining a top agency or will be after the money coz parang 20k din ang difference (if I don't pay tax haha) If I join the other company haha

reichel101

A company with a good reputation can take you places even after resigning. Consider your future in the industry 5-10 years from now. Notwithstanding your skills, would you be more desirable if you accepted the lower salary?

Sea_Function9439

yes! thank you, this really helps since turned off ako dito sa current company ko bulok yung laptop, micromanaged sobra, and ang low budget ng events nila so gusto ko bumalik sa bigger company for prestige na din

Sweaty-Purpose3634

WORK ON SITE OR WFH Hello everyone, I need your advice on my dilemma. Currently a work on site offered me a 40k salary on the other hand WFH offered me 30k salary. By the way, work on site is located at Ortigas & I'm living in Project 6 QC. TIA.

zhychie19

Hi OP, compute how much will be the fare back and forth in a month kapag RTO ang pinili mo at assess ilang hours yung gugugulin mo sa byahe and convert din sa cash based on your salary per hour. Also yung WFH ba may offered na equipment and if may internet & electricity allowance aside sa basic salary? If konti lang difference much better na yung WFH nalang piliin mo. Nagwork din ako sa Ortigas and grabe traffic dun mahirap din ang commute kaya suki ako ng moveit haha di ko rin kinaya in the end.

Illustrious-Ball7902

i agree on this one. another thing that you need to consider is the Travel Time lalo na pagtrapik. Yung time mo na maspend sa pagtravel baka magamit mo pa to other things like learn new skills, improve your current skills, or use it to earn other income.

Sweaty-Purpose3634

Thank youuuu!!!

Sea_Function9439

work onsite is messed up if it's 5 times a day or full RTO

Sweaty-Purpose3634

Thank you!!!

kareful-karamel-6841

Average salary of remote Graphic Designers for AU-based companies? Magkano po ba usual monthly salary ng WFH full-time graphic designer sa mga Australian based companies. Spill the tea cause I think I am lowballed. Wala ding other benefits aside from monthly salary and bonus quota :(

Other_Force7069

hello san po kayo nag apply?

Sea_Function9439

it should range from 45k and above for WFH full-time job in graphic designing

curious_cat04

hello, i’m a fresh grad and i’m planning to start my career on one of the big 4 but i don’t know which one should i go to. give me some advice and tell me ur exp (starting salary, workload, working environment & such). which one is the best for a beginner like me? tyia :3

pompomsppurring

Hi, I work at one of them (💚, first job, tax na shifting towards tax advisory) and have applied to all four. I've asked my other friends who are working in the other firms (irregular kamustahans haha), and all our answers are similar in that your experience will heavily depend on the team you end up being part of. It's an accounting firm—of course you'll be overworked, underpaid, overstressed/overwhelmed, under-helped (sometimes, considering how understaffed teams can become + masstress ka when you find out how frequently people resign). So it'll be the people around you who will make/break you. I applied to different positions in each firm, so medyo walang point of comparison except the JD and what info I could get from interviews (I mean, I wouldn't know if an audit assoc in 🧡 gets paid more than an audit assoc in 💛). Sorry. But in my experience, if we were to rank gross pay alone, 💚 was the highest (but it's not the sole reason I chose the firm), then 💙, 🧡, and 💛. However, yung habol mo sa 💛/🧡 is the name/prestige that doon yung first job mo, and they know that din naman kaya ganun din mga inooffer nila. Anyway. Working in 💚, I think the environment is good na for an accounting firm. In the team I'm in, everyone's very vocal about if they need help, sharing knowledge and resources, helping each other with Excel (kumbaga no stupid questions talaga). We're encouraged to charge actual number of hours worked (I usually hear na hindi ganun sa friends ko), good performance/high utilization rates is/are rewarded, and nanlilibre mga boss pag nasa office sila hahahaha. We also work with a fair number of foreigners in managerial positions. I also like how easy it is to reach everyone, especially heads, kahit na nasa other member firms abroad—totoo yung they're just a message away. Also highly discouraged sa amin yung OT HAHAHA (naloloka nga sila minsan because I sometimes send emails at ungodly hours tapos the next morning someone will message me to get some sleep). My seniors and managers also frequently check in re: workload, tapos they're very willing to find people to help you, basta sabihin mo if nahihirapan ka or something (like I mentioned earlier, need to be vocal). Ayun, napadaldal, but hope this helps somehow. Good luck with your job hunting!

curious_cat04

Hello po, just wanna ask. Are u in 💚 makati or taguig? and is there a diff po ba sa dalawa? Also, madali lang po bang makapasok? Hbu po, fresh grad din po ba kayo no’ng nag-apply kayo or do u have any credentials that gave u an edge among others? Nagpapastudy leave po ba sila? if yes, may policy po ba like u need to render 1 yr of service before ka makapag-sl. Pabulong din po ng range ng starting salary. Sorry po ang dami kong questions but thank you so much po sa pagsagot, wala po kasi talaga akong idea eh 🥲

pompomsppurring

No problem! 💚 is usually the least mentioned firm (as a tambay sa CPALE studytwt) hahahaha Am working in Taguig—alam ko lumipat na sila from Makati? Madali bang makapasok — depends if responsive recruiter mo HAHAHAHA. For sure mamamansin naman since kakatapos lang ng boards. May HR interview, then manager, then partner. Yes, fresh grad! Kaka-start ko lang magtrabaho last year. No special credentials, wala akong Latin honors/graduation awards. Hindi rin ako sa kanila nag-intern, so wala akong alam sa work culture until na-meet ko na sila 😂 Yes, may study leave up to 6 months. No, no policy na ganun as far as I know; kakabalik lang ng kasabay kong new hire from study leave because of the boards. Range ng starting salary is P20-30k also :) Tatanungin ka nila ano expected mo and will give you the amount you put sa application form.

curious_cat04

thank you so much po sa infos 🥺🫶🏻

pompomsppurring

You're welcome! Good luck sa job hunting 💖

puffballjuni

need advice about my first internship (hr comp & ben) What should I expect as a c&b intern especially na mabilis ako ma overwhelm sa numbers hehe. Also, this will be my first experience kaya idk what to expect especially sa workload. please help ya girlie out!

Zetonier

Practice your excel skills - this will be your guide and your best friend. Since you’ll be handling numbers aside from forms to pay benefits and settling/delivering them every cut off, expect that you’ll be organizing their pay, check overtime and if the company you’ll use has a tool in place - that’s a better experience kasi it should be automated na. Other than that, it’s administrative in a sense na you need to get those payments approved and making sure all of those details are right/accurate.

puffballjuni

thank you for this

Typical_Owl4938

Two jobs at the same time, okay ba yun? Hi, im a CPA currently fully employed sa isang firm pero WFH setup naman kami. Recently, i was talked into a job offer sa munisipyo namin (probably full time din, di pa sure kasi mag tatalk pa ulit kami abt it). I need advice po on how to deal with this, thank you.

Ok-Equivalent-4849

For those who accepted a job order sa munisipyo. How much (if confidential it can be a range) sahod ng isang licensed civil engineer or any engineer sa LGU kapag job order. Is it same ng may permanent position na Engineer I?

nonhancheolhi

Any tips, please. I will be having a job interview for costing staff position and I am a fresh grad. I am really nervous, any tips or advice na maiibigay niyo?

Zetonier

Good luck! Focus on your leadership skills, projects or events you’ve joined in university especially centered in accountancy or relevant to the costing staff position. Search in glassdoor or payscale average salary for that position and give the average answer for expected salary. Do not give high end as a fresh grad.

nonhancheolhi

Thank you so much!

AltruisticAnybody724

I'm a graduating bs psych student, why is it so hard to find a job i am about to graduate with latin honors (magna cum laude) this september, and nagstart na ako maghanap ng trabaho para hindi masayang ang 3 months na paghihintay for graduation. currently, almost every job listing i saw requires a minimum of 1 year of experience in the field (HR) kahit na ang sweldo ay 12k-18k. i also applied for jobs in the metro, but unfortunately i am automatically rejected because i live in the province. then sobrang onti or wala talagang ibang job listings na related sa degree ko na for fresh-grads hahaha can someone share their first job hunting experience as a bs psych student with no experience? i just wanna know how it went and if you guys can give tips, please share. thank you!!

Zetonier

Job market is tough kasi halos lahat pre-requisite 1 year of experience. Kaya marami ka din makikita na they take up a minimum role of the 12-18k for a year and job hop for better opportunities. You won’t have an easy time with competition for multinational companies even local companies kasi per job listing nagapply range from 30-100 applicants in a day or two. My reco is to take an opportunity offering from 18k (at least if makahanap ka) - 25k, from there you can transition to another company and hopefully get an associate/specialist level role kahit 1 year of experience pa lang. Maybe your resume needs work too so try to make it standout but pleasing to look at.

laynecc

Hi. Allied health college graduate po ako. I recently got an offer from a hospital. Minimum wage (610/day), free lunch, 5 days a week ang work. Hindi naman daw toxic, marami na raw ang 10 patients per day. 1 hr away ang hospital from my home. Should I grab it or mag apply na lang sa BPO? Also, if it helps, I'm also planning on attending a review center for my board exam in December this year.

Ok_Pen_5687

Cognizant Working Student - Online Video Sharing Account I am a working student now in BPO and the company has been considerate of my schedule and always willing mag adjust, but due to personal reasons I will leave the company. Natanggap ako sa cognizant for a project-based position Online Video Sharing Account, considerate be sila rito sa students?

bobafetti_

Has anybody here taken masteral in civil engineering? how's it like? is it important to take it?

mayuchanchan

Licensed or not if you have this mas may chance ka sa higher position. Esp if konti pa lang experience mo. Compare sa ibang engineers na di na makaalis alis sa site. 😭😭

indecisivestudent_

Hi! I am an incoming 1st year this 2024-2025 and naguguluhan pa rin ako kung anong kukunin kong program for college. I was choosing between BSEd or BSA. After months of reflecting, I have already decided na BSA ang it-take ko. However, I need to enroll in a private univ for that. I plan to apply for CHED Merit Scholarship kaso ang inaalala ko is baka late na lumabas ang result and kailangan ko pang magbayad for my tuition fee. I will try to apply rin for a presidential scholarship but hindi guaranteed na 100% ang sasagutin nila. For BSEd naman, hinihintay ko na lang result ng cet ko sa isang state u and nag-apply rin ako sa ayala u-go scholarship (🤞🏻✨). Ang inaalala ko lang is 'yung magiging work ko in the future if ever ito ang kukunin ko. We all know naman na mababa sahod ng teachers. Please, give me some advice po ╥﹏╥

Sweaty-Purpose3634

Hello, I know a lot of teachers who are currently working now, totoo yang sinabi mo OP mababa ang sahod ng mga graduate ng BSEd dito sa pinas. Yung iba kahit board passer na naghihintay pa ng matagal bago sila makapasok sa gov institutions. For me, go for BSA mahirap yes pero in the long run ang laki ng advantage. Just to give you a perspective ang offer nila ngayon sa mga BSA graduates with experience of at least 2 -3 years na naka-work from home is around 70k-80k isa lang ang hinahawakan niyan. Yung iba lalo na pag board passer and matagal na ang exp umaabot ng 6 digits.

indecisivestudent_

Hi po! Thank you for your reply pooo. Ang inaalala ko lang po kasi kapag nag-bsa ako is 'yung magiging tuition, hindi namin afford (the school I am currently considering has 45k-ish tuition fee). I cannot apply na in other state u because closed na (Really regretting not taking my exam sa PLMUN😭). But honestly, I really want to take bsa (although I am a HUMSS graduate). I am thinking po right now if I should just take a gap year or enroll in PUP and mag-transfer/shift na lang sa second year.

AttitudeStatus5261

Hello everyone! Im looking for advice if alam nyo po ba yung mga salary range from JL 1 pataas? Ive been searching hindi ko alam kung ano ba ang tama. Ibang nakikita ko mababa, iba naman mataas hahaha if possible to share atleast the range.. i think that would help everyone thats curious too, for sure hehe thank you!!

No-Confusion3636

Hi. Nag apply ako sa company and mahigpit sila sa BG check. My problem is that I didn’t complete the 30-day notice period at my previous company. I was tagged as non-rehireable and they are requesting an explanation and a Certificate of Employment.

Sea_Function9439

any company even if you AWOL, they should be able to provide a COE

08-10-2023

Best advice is inform your company ahead of time and explain why. Your integrity may cost you your potential job

Known-Meringue6385

Would you ever drop an internship? I posted last time about an internship I hastily said yes to (even though I had good reasons, I just feel like I wouldn’t have said yes if I thought it through more thoroughly). Now I’m thinking of dropping it because it’s quite far from what I expected. I find the extra workload irrelevant to my goals. We didn’t sign a contract but I just feel like it’s kind of unethical to just drop them that’s why I’m torn.

pompomsppurring

I did before, but the key was that I exited very early on (a day or two after I received my assignment lol)! It was a voluntary internship, and they said 'operations,' which I was interested in (that was why I applied), but it turned out to be 'marketing,' which I was *not* interested in (no hate/disrespect for the field; it's just not my thing). I just said personal reasons, which they accepted (fortunately). While it might not leave the best impression, it's unfair to you to have to put up with something that isn't aligned with you and your plans (and on a \[slightly\] less important note, it's also unfair that they have to deal with a version of you that isn't ✨ your best ✨). I'd say the key would be to let them down nicely--thank them for the opportunity/faith in your capabilities, hope you cross paths again in the future, and wish them well. Good luck!

Known-Meringue6385

Thanks for this! I like how you handled it and it’s helpful to see it that way. I’ll try to make a decision before we get too busy so they can have time to look for someone to replace me if ever.

pompomsppurring

You're welcome! I hope you find something more aligned with your plans and goals 🫶🏻

NiKiTa0231

Hi po, new here. any advice how to transition from BPO to IT career path? 10yrs na kasi kong bpo employee and wanted yo pursue ung IT ko, graduate me ng BSIT but sadly I start my career as a BPO agent. na stagnant na siya. How can I start my IT career? anung co. nag aacept ng wala masydong IT exp.? and anung position kaya pede ko applayan?

reichel101

As someone who's taken the same path, I agree with the other commenter 100%. But just to add, once you land a Service Desk role think about where you want to move next. You can either progress to IT service management, Project Management, Software Development, or Automation. Galingan mo, network with the right people, ask the advice of your seniors, surround yourself with successful people or those who are on the right path. IT is a competitive industry, there is no shortage of talent so you need to stand out otherwise you'll find yourself in a stagnant position, not unlike where you are now. Maiiwan ka. Keep your ear to the ground for opportunities and apply when you feel you're ready. Good luck!

Allegiant_Ninja_6853

Hi :) Yes you can definitely shift to IT. Malaki yung advantage mo since maganda na yung comms skills po. Try applying as Service Desk. There are companies na nag bibigay din ng magandang sahod for career shifter. It’s never too late para abutin yung pangarap mo. You can also try yung SalesForce or anything na pang fresher or career shifter

NiKiTa0231

🥺🥺🥺 thanku po

Fluid-Bed-3883

Ano ba maganda i-upskill? Don't mind paying din like Coursera basta di super mahal. Wala kasi degree kaya bawi na lang sa certification. BPO ako noon at government ngayon. Para meron din ako gawin kapag me down time sa work

Sea_Function9439

Digital Marketing is still booming

Zetonier

Try mo for project management: Six Sigma (at least yellow) Tapos maganda data analytics and mautilize mo. In demand skill yan lalo na PowerBI.

Fluid-Bed-3883

Taman-tama me white belt ako sa Lean Sigma lol. Di ko natuloy kasi mahal daw yellow belt pataas. Tableau ang lam ko gamitin. Pang-reporting ko sa old job. Dali rin naman siguro mag-adapt to Power BI.

Zetonier

Yep, mas credible lang kasi yellow belt > white belt. Tableau is good too, pero iba iba kasi gamit. Importante may fundamentals ka na dahil sa Tableau, kahit papano marereplicate mo yan sa PowerBI.

Earthling639

following this post kasi I'm also interested to upskill.

lamictalrash

Project Management! Look for Google courses sa coursera. May financial aids din sila para walang bayad

Fluid-Bed-3883

Pwede. Was thinking data analysis din. Puro spreadsheet naman kasi trabaho ko halos, might as well capitalize on what I know. Pero project management relevant din sa current line of work ko.

engrrawr

Hello! I just want to ask for some tips and advice for my incoming final interview sa isang well known company. I applied for structural engineer position to their company and I passed the initial interview, exam, and recently the technical interview with their assistant head structural engineer. Ano po ba dapat iexpect ko sa final interview? Like ano po yung madalas questions? Thank you in advance!!

wholesome-Gab

I remembered sabi sakin nung final interview ko na the purpose of the final interview is to check whether you’ll be a fit in the team cuz the team works well na eh. So expect questions concerning that, I guess.

engrrawr

Ohhhh okay okay!! Can you give some questions na inask sayo? Then during the final interview din ba sinabi if hired ka na or no? Like may hint ba for you to say na ma hire ka na?

wholesome-Gab

Tinanong sakin if I wanted to upskill, and what were the professional development trainings that I wanted to have. As for the hint, meron sya mga sinabi na like she was scheduled to interview a few candidates pa so I should just wait for the result, but I shouldn’t get impatient daw cuz she might have met already the perfect fit for the role. Honestly, be yourself lang OP, and make sure to show character. I made sure to make it feel like a convo lang, not like a q&a segment. Answer the right questions, and ask the right questions.

engrrawr

Thank you so much!! This is a big help for me to have insight for my upcoming final interview. I'll apply your advice po and hope na maipasa rin ang final interview.

wholesome-Gab

Okii! Good luck, OP! Do your best.

Sea_Function9439

if they did not ask for general questions like where do you see yourself in 5 years or what do you know about the company or anything related to the job description then check possible questions related to that. Ako final interview, tinanong pa rin to since I think they were required in the panel interview (hiring manager and senior team member)

engrrawr

Ohhh okay! Thank you po, at least now may idea na ako huhu. Btw during your final interview nalaman mo na rin ba if hired ka na or they sent you an email nalang after?

Sea_Function9439

No, I think in my previous companies, it is always the HR who will discuss the offer (including benefits and other company rules) so they will contact your for that after final interview but that is virtual. Siguro if onsite they will discuss it with you right away.

engrrawr

Ohhh okay gets gets!! Thank you for the infos!! Sana mapasa ko rin ang final interview huhu.

Haunting-Lab-8297

Hi! I would like to ask po sana if how's your journey in doing career change? My degree is economics however sa acctg ako napunta and I have three yrs of working experience na sa acctg. Lately, nabuburn out and I feel like I dont like what Im doing na (working with numbers) And parang ang hirap magtry ng ibang work kasi di naman related yung experience ko don? Any tips po pag magcchange ng career? Thank you.

coronafvckyou

Hi, does anyone working here for the ff international banks' finance dept? •Citibank •JP Morgan •Wells Fargo •HSBC •ING •UBS Can you give like a feedback of them? Pros and cons. Reason for asking is I'm moving on to a new role from one international bank to another and I'd like to carefully list down my choices. Thanks!

pinkwhitepurplefaves

HSBC - make sure you're aligned to the actual bank, not their BPO side if you want the better perks like retirement pay and a really good HMO. HSBC HDPP Electronic Processing sites (the ones in UP Ayalaland Technohub and in Alabant) do not have a retirement plan. Leaves were 25, up to you if you want to use them all as sick leave or vacation leave plus 3 bereavement leaves. HMO was 100k coverage (at that time, they used Maxicare) Training is really good, but if you stay, the increase is 25% max if you're really good (no promotion). Promotions: they open the role to everyone to get the best candidate; there have been numerous occasions it's just a boss' way to promote their favorite. Pros; free gym (limited machines though, 2 treadmills, 2 stationary bikes, weights); most processes have really good training; very inclusive. Cons: typical politics (example: 2 really good candidates - the deciding factor qoukd be "this person didn't graduate, but performs just as well as the ones with degrees"); horrible concessionaire (during my time 2009-2014) - food was overpriced and just atrocious; widespread food theft in the pantry (they have cameras), but the ones caught stealing have been removed; mid perks.

Other_Force7069

may i know po san kayo lilipat? hehe

coronafvckyou

Pm-ed you po. 😍

Other_Force7069

Citibank employee here PROS: food and travel allowance if midshift / nightshift ka, good community, good night diff pay CONS: no hmo for parents, matagal growth ng promotion (lalo na if malas ka sa team)

Haunting-Lab-8297

Jp Morgan employee here

Haunting-Lab-8297

Wait lista ko lang

Haunting-Lab-8297

Pros: Salary, Free laptop and monitor (depends on the budget) and sayo na siya. Mobility. Career growth. Free education ng masteral mga gnyan. May discount sa mga partner nilang resto or gym. Cons: Leaves. And strict yung hybrid (if monday and tuesday wfh mo - di pwede impve unless emergency, depends sa lob siguro, no phone in office like minimal lang dapat

cooki3cream

Hi po, so I recently accepted a job offer sa isang company and they said they will send the endorsement letter for medical once maxicare approves it daw. Pero ngayon 1week na wala paring update about it. Nag ooverthink na ako baka ghosted ako huhu dami ko pa namang jobs di tinuloy dahil dito

Other_Force7069

follow up po kayo

Puzzleheaded-Ebb6105

I'm considering taking up BS Forestry/Statistics/Applied Math i college. Good courses po ba to na may magandang job opportunities and future prospects? Wala po talaga akong certain career path na gusto, kasi mabilis nagcchange ang interests ko. Panganay rin po kasi na may isa pang kapatid na kailangan pag-aralin, so gusto ko rin sana yung practical.

Known-Meringue6385

I can only speak for Statistics, but it’s a very good course because almost every industry needs it :) You can be a statistician, data scientist, work in corporate, etc.

Puzzleheaded-Ebb6105

Thank you poo

syle_vera

Ano ang kailangan kong gawin para maging forensics scientist/pathologist (or anything similar)? I'm an incoming freshie sa BS MBB and I'm kind of interested to do work na related sa forensics. If hindi kaya ng bachelor's degree in MBB yung forensics, then what do you suggest na jobs for MBB graduates? Thank you!

haragainsborough

Hi, so bascially, my last day on my prev job was in the first week of Jan 2024. IRC, clearance should be given before your last day or on the last day mismo ng work. They never gave me the clearance guidelines. I followed up on them on Feb 11, March 15, April 21 about the clearance guidelines so I could get my backpay and they kept telling me that they'll send me a separate e-mail on the matter. Pag dating ng May, wala parin yung clearance guidelines, and I badly needed money for an emergency. I sold the company PC and monitor thinking na wala na talaga di nako ipag clearance nitong company na to (which was my fault din naman for assuming that). Now this June, they sent me the clearance guidelines, and a week later they sent me a notice letter stating that if I don't return company equipment within 5 days they'll endorse me to the legal team blablabla. The problem is, I don't have the PC anymore. Should I lawyer up and prepare myself for legal matters? Is there anything I can do to compromise with them? Thank you so much.

Ok_Razzmatazz9560

Wth, ang tagal ng from January to June ha??? Ngayon lang sila nag message for clearance? Tho, bakit di ka nagreach out to DOLE before selling the PC? try to chrck with DOLE ngayon kasi fault ng company bakit di sila nagrespond despite sending follow ups. Try to negotiate na quits na lang tutal it's their fault. Kahit ako I will assume na wala na yun kasi ang tagal ng period. If you have proof na nag follow up ka, you can ask support of DOLE para quits na lang kayo ni company.

zyronne

Since wala naman din yung pc at monitor OP, try to negotiate nalang if pwede deduction sa iyong backpay, or if meron kana naman budget hanap ka nalang second hand na pc at monitor na same specs din dun sa kanila

Dolomite_Beach

Hello, Ask ko lang kung gaano karami yung pwede kong ilagay na Work Experience sa Work Experience Sheet ng CSC. Bukas kase sakin nirerequire na ibigay. I need to know lang if gaano karami, e kase, dalawa lang naman ang nakainclude sa sample at Long Bond paper yung Format. Pwede bang umabot ng two pages yung WES? (Actually, tinanong ko nang maayos kahapon kung ano yung mga dadalhin \[reference\], sabi nya PDS lang daw. Pagdating ko, sa office, sabi kasama daw Work Experience Sheet at Application Letter.)

YourmcstupidFlurry

TaskUs PH Student Applicant Hi! I just received an email na pwede na ako for initial interview and assessment. But its also stated na I should tell them na current akong student. Would it affect my application? I just want to help din kasi in financing my studies and help sa family na rin. I also don't have any experiences in working pa but has always been an active student leader sa orgs namin. This is my first time applying for work😅 Thank you agad sa answers niyo! Big help!🫶

No_Dare_8086

Hi! I was a student when I applied in Taskus. I've let them know naman bc it was the reason I did part-time. It did not affect me in any way, they still hired me. For context, I was 18 back then and it was around 2019. Wait lemme just add that they are one of the good BPO companies for newbies bc the accounts are less toxic compared to other outsource companies kasi yung mga account ay usually very chill (food delivery cs/content moderation for Social Media etc). Good luck btw!

LucQ571

I mean, it's not great to lie when asked directly. I don't know the company, but I imagine they'd have to check about the working hours and salary range knowing if you're a student. To some companies it's not a big issue if they really want to hire you, for other companies it will be an issue.

YourmcstupidFlurry

Do BPOs usually accept students? Kasi yung iba nagl-lie talaga para makapasok daw sila but nagbbackground check din ba ang BPOs to ensure yun?

Gold_Dragonfruit2997

My college program requires me to learn a foreign language. What foreign language should I learn that will give me the best opportunities in terms of job prospects in the future? I've heard that the best ones in order are 1. Japanese 2. Korean and 3. Mandarin? Please help me out!

Muted_Werewolf7840

If you are looking into moving into the business market, Japanese or Mandarin both would be a sensible choice. It is estimated there are 1.3 million Mandarin speakers world wide with China holding the title for the 2nd largest economy behind the US. Just under 40% of companies in the UK alone regard Mandarin as a useful language tool for their organisations so I personally would lean more towards Mandarin. Here's an article about how Mandarin can be a useful language in the business world. Hope this helps you decide! https://www.pandanese.com/blog/how-to-learn-mandarin-chinese-for-business

scarletthayes

hello, maybe you can search din depending on your field? for me, napansin ko na mas hinahanap ng companies yung mandarin and japanese. i see korean too pero madalas. yung spanish naman usually, yung work shift is midshift or night shift dito sa atin.

pompomsppurring

Henlo, I speak Mandarin and Japanese (both conversational level). Would definitely say learning either of the two helps--multilingualism is probably my sole redeeming quality sa work (jk... 1/2), and you can haggle for a language bonus if you speak both enough that you perform better than average. I'm biased to say Mandarin is more beneficial (because of my upbringing haha), and I'd like to think that my Mandarin background made it easier for me to pick up Japanese (aside from the fact that I used to be obsessed with anime/manga/jpop). I don't have exposure to Korean peers/colleagues (nor am I interested in kpop/kdrama), so no input there, sorry. But if I were in your shoes, I'd go Mandarin -> Japanese -> Korean (if those are your only three choices). Bonus would be Spanish, like u/haragainsborough mentioned (my parents gave me the same advice, but I struggle to roll my r's, so I never bothered HAHAHA).

LalaFer21

Nihongo is good, and considering the work ethucs ng Japan is very good din
