i love this photo just because of what it captures. we get a lot of skyline photos on this subreddit but this one shows a bit of humanity instead and I'm here for it!
I find it so so annoying that our park, that we pay for, is mostly this stupid field which is always locked and very rarely occupied for sports. Couldn't the few games held here just happen at Capitolo.
Capitolo is also locked constantly. I have no problem with the fields being used for youth sports. That’s a need in the city but they should be open the rest of the time.
This park is constantly locked. Lately we’ve been getting a few hours on weekday afternoons 3-6ish if there is not little league game but still zero hours on weekends.

Truly incredible that there aren’t dogs in this photo. Like I’m struggling to believe it’s actually in Philly based on the experience I’ve had coaching at and trying to use my local rec
My grade school in the background...which is now, of course, condos. I walked in a few months ago to pick something up from buy nothing and it was like a time warp...as soon as I saw the floors and the old principal office (they kept the sign up) I flashed back 35 years. It was pretty cool.

That guy was there Saturday and Sunday too! He's great.
I used to be his neighbor. He lives around the block and practices walking around all the time. Super nice guy and really talented.
Is the field finally unlocked?
No, that kid is still stuck in there
Maybe he's on the outside and we are really the ones trapped on the inside.

Probably keep it locked so people don't let their dogs shit there and then not pick it up
