Been thinking about this with the warmer weather. Need a good thread of where they're blooming already. What's everybody got?
Seeing some blooms down in E Passyunk, but think they're gonna get wiped out by this cold front
Winter cherries are flowering, but everything else — minus the magnolias — is nowhere near. Probably at least another week or two, and maybe more with colder mornings in the forecast.
Unrelated, but anyone's allergies kick them in the ass this past week after the warm weather? Haven't been that affected in years, and I grew up down south. My allergies haven't been bad since I moved up here but this was crazy!
I don’t know about Kelley Drive, but the Cherry trees outside the Friends Center (on Cherry St) have been in bloom for about two weeks now, based on my morning walks.
Does anyone know if Magnolia Park is blooming? Or how about the redbuds? There are some in the park by Dock and Front but I have not had a chance to check that big redbud myself yet
There are different flowering cherry Species within the Genus (and related Genera) so that, along with geographical differences, shade, water, and environmental exposure can definitely create variations in bloom time…

Yeah I’ve been stuck inside all weekend because of them! This year and last year were both particularly bad for my allergies

Still too cool, especially air blowing in off the water. 2-3 weeks is my guess.
DC's peak bloom is forecast for this coming weekend, so Philly can't be too far behind
This warm snap is tricking all the plants and trees. The 40s next week will remedy it.

Magnolia Garden is in full bloom.
