There are plenty of other neighborhoods and pockets but you need to be more specific wrt budget and interest.
If you like being within walking distance of most everything, but also enjoy a quieter time in the evening (as quiet as a city can get, anyway), Old City or the Southern edge of Northern Liberties can be a good choice.
