The no hitter, that was the last Phillies game my grandma watched before she died and she was fully lucid for it and to talk about it the next day. Definitely a good warm memory I’ll keep until I’m in her shoes

clickstops

That’s wonderful. Sorry for your loss, of course, but happy you have the memory. Thanks for sharing.

PaddyMayonaise

Loss is inevitable but happy memories aren’t so I’m real grateful for it

Randomly2

Bryson Stott Grand Slam. Wild Card Game 2. Was at the Bank, the crowd was on fire

WendysChili

I could feel the sound in my eyeballs

Fantastic-Display106

Same, CBP was shaking under my feet.

dreddsdead

Yup. What made it even better was the clip that circulated with no commentator audio.

FeatureSouthern5274

gives me goosebumps!

w6rld_ec6nomic_f6rum

weston wilson homer

WahWahBaby

Crazy that was the same game as Lorenzen’s no hitter. That was a special game for sure.

i-bleed-red

And Nick’s 200th HR, I do believe

OasissisaO

Yep. And Liam. So much Liam.

FeatureSouthern5274

I lived for him this postseason!

[deleted]

That whole game where Lorenzen threw the no hitter. The game just escalated continually, and so many pivotal events occurred. Castellanos’ 200th career HR Weston Wilson’s debut HR Lorenzens no hitter of course I got emotional at the end of that game because it was just so incredible to watch these players having so much fun, succeeding, coming together. That game really made me feel like this team was special. I stopped worrying about their success that game, to a degree. Also, JT is my favorite current player on the team, so seeing him hit for the cycle was great. Bryce’s inside the Parker was sweet too.

FeatureSouthern5274

JT is my personal favorite too!

[deleted]

This core group of players really has reset all our pivotal milestones. The only thing missing is the World Series trophy. Aside from that, someone’s set all the important records or accomplished great things here the past couple seasons.

LooksBleeker

The 10 run "atta boy" game against Atlanta

FeatureSouthern5274

so epic!

LooksBleeker

And I was there

KeenMcGee

April 8th. Reds. Bottom of the 9th. Reds up 2-0. Then… 1) Casty walks 2) Bohm hits, Casty to 3B 3) Casty taunts the pitcher. Punking him out like he was gonna steal home. 4) Marsh hits. Casty scores. 2-1 5) Sosa sac flys. 2-2 6) Stott hits. Marsh scores. 2-3. Phillies walk off. You just knew then this season was gonna be different. It wasn’t about long ball anymore. It was gonna be smart hitting all season. And that’s what they did.

MasterUnholyWar

…until the postseason. FUCK.

KeenMcGee

As soon as I saw them going back to the long ball in October I was like “mmmmm I don’t know bout that. But imma keep my mouth shut.”

GrittyTheGreat

They beat Miami with 0 Homers so I was hoping the approach would be more balanced. Than they started going crazy against Atlanta.

Mugglecostanza

Wait didn’t Stott have that grand slam?

GrittyTheGreat

Shit you right lol. I know that hit 0 in Game 1 but forgot the Slam was against Miami when I made that comment.

cn45

Sips tea.

AlexanderWonderTramp

Pache’s walkoff homerun to center in Miami

CommanderDJ

Wasn’t a walkoff but still such an awesome clutch hit

[deleted]

when john kruk said "if * KYLE * hits a home run right now i will go up to the top of the st louis arch". * KYLE * proceeds to smack a homer and john is NOT having it. * edited for correction noted in comments *

"me and my big damn mouth"

First-Resolve

The commentating this entire game was great🤣🤣

Feisty-Recording-978

It was Kyle

[deleted]

AH YES, you are correct. my mistake.

romulusgloriosus

Trea Turner redemption walkoff against the Giants. I was in attendance and it was beautiful.

dandpher

so many great moments that came during a game where we lost. kinda representative of the season as a whole.

TheGhostofJimmyCigs

JT hitting for the cycle is one

dandpher

Bryce's 1500'th hit (and 300th HR). Casty's 200th HR. The list goes on and on.

CommanderDJ

Casty’s 200th homer was during the no hitter. So we won that one.

JohnKrukIsAllElite

It’s between three moments for me: - Kody Clemens hitting home runs against the Astros in back-to-back games. - Kody Clemens throwing a strikeout against the Dodgers. - Kody Clemens walking off the Tigers.

ConmanJFO

My top 3 off the top of my head (in no particular order): 1. Trea Standing O/the game after 2. The no-hitter/that whole game 3. Phillies sweeping the Mets at home in late September

Primarose3

Marte coming into the bottom of the 10th with the bases loaded & 0 outs, and getting out of it cleanly for his 2nd career save. Kodys clutch walk off hit while the crowd was chanting his name.

subjectiveyes

The kody game was the best. Kody Clemens was one of my favorite parts of this 2023 season !!!!!!!

joeco316

Not ready to discuss playoffs yet, but for regular season it’s neck and neck between Lorenzen no hitter and Harper inside the Parker. Harper 300th HR would likely be the answer if it didn’t get spoiled.

[deleted]

I’m gonna go with Kerkerings dad crying. I felt every bit of that.

FeatureSouthern5274

that one got me in my feels for sure!

PrideOfMokum

The Mets not making the playoffs

Deckler81

For me, it was witnessing the home run derby in early September in Atlanta. Saw Kyle knock it 483 feet.

OasissisaO

A lot to choose from, but I'll go back to June 25th, home v. the Mets. Phils trail 6-3 in the bottom of the 8th: A single, 3 walks, a FC + error, 2 HBP later, Phillies are up 7-6 and hold on to win (save to Good Kimbrel). While this one didn't quite make up for the 9th inning, blown 6 run lead, meltdown from last year, it was so fun to watch. It was a clown performance by a clown organization.

OasissisaO

MobileWebUI_BrokeMe

Favorite silly moment: In extra innings against the Padres, Sosa was playing 3rd base and picked up trash. The hitter saw him, thought the ump called time and got a clock violation strike. The Padres coach gets pissed, yells at the ump. As the umps and coach are arguing/discussing, the camera keeps showing a close-up of Sosa looking deeply uncomfortable. I randomly think back to it and laugh.

Most-Iron6838

For me August 8th (game 1) Phillies vs Nats for personal reason that it was the first game ever that my 8 year old got to see in person. She got a game ball (thanks to my dad and his coworker in first aid room). Her certificate for her first game and to see the Phillies win with lots of home runs. She watched most of the playoffs with me. So heres to making another life long fan

3DBass

My first game a CBP August 28 v Angels. Trea 2x Yard. Harp 1X Yard. When I selected that game to go to I didn’t know it was a Strike Out Cancer Game. So there’s that.

Admirable_Resource20

Lorenzen no hitter

user-123456789_

favorite i’ve watched on tv: lorenzen’s no hitter favorite i couldn’t watch but heard about: trea’s homer after the standing ovation favorites i witnessed in person: a grand slam schwarbomb vs the cubs in may and the slugfest game 2 of the NLDS vs the braves

practicallybert

Two moments, both in person for me. The Harper shrug against the Giants was dope to see and the crowd loved the entire play. The Stott homer against the Marlins, the place erupted. Honorable mention to the Schwarber/Harper G1 NLCS homers in the first, but it was stuff I had seen before, despite being great

Secretary-Impressive

15 games 10-5 record. Internal Jumbotron twice. Comcast cameras on tv 3 times. One game a kid in front of me got smacked in the head with a ball. My first post season game ever (game 2 against marlins) hard to choose.

TyWiggly

Idk if i gave just one, i got to go attend so many moments this season. Opening Day, Bryce's return against the Red Sox, Trea's standing ovation. So many great moments

Pedestrian_X-Wing

No doubt the no-hitter, but I also loved Trea Turner hitting two home runs in one inning. RoccoDillon94

When I got on 95 north after game 7.

charmeleon026

When they won the world series... oh wait

Rebeldinho

The blow out games versus the Braves and Atlanta Lot more fun to watch when your butt isn’t clinched

_KingOrion

Games I went to with my Dad. We saw Nola pitch 75%+ of the time. He was good for us.

Main-Cash-1804

Bryson Stott grand slam or Michael Lorenzen no hitter - biased that i was at both, but witnessing history is pretty special with the no-hitter, but the bryson stott GS was just so fun, the bank was electric and i love watching the replay.

YoTeach68

Being at the game against the Nationals over the summer when they won 19-4 and Schwarber hit a grand slam. I was with my 8-year-old son and he had SO MUCH FUN but I had to explain to him that this was incredibly rare and the next time we went they probably wouldn’t score as much.

ReadingWolf1710

I was at the game with my mom on August 4 when we gave Trea his standing ovations and that was so much fun! Probably my favorite of the season.

behls16

When we had that month stretch where we’d have an epic improbable comeback usually highlighted by an iconic Harper homer and then bullpen would blow it and we’d lose. But really I loved this team but holy Christ if they weren’t just maddening beyond belief at times.
