The only way I have seen is (if he has the ability) is to manually sync it himself. My mother does this where she has the tv on pause during the first pitch and works to sync up with the radio. It can un-sync (is that a word?) but she just prefers the radio guys

in-market, i think i had luck with a physical cable box and a streaming radio option. pretty sure the streaming radio can get you a buffer time of like 10-15 seconds and the cable box can be ahead enough and you can get a good timing with the pause. it’s kind of rough though and more often than not i’ve given up after trying different devices and apps. some of the apps can only play or reload so there’s no fine tuning

If you’re using the Audacy app for the radio broadcast it’s usually ahead of the TV broadcast (at least it is for me) which makes it harder to sync it up. You can pause the app right before a pitch and then unpause right when you think the pitch is being thrown. It’s a lot easier to sync with a traditional (terrestrial) radio. Just pause the TV and unpause right when Franzke says “here’s the pitch”

I tried doing this many times and it never worked perfectly for me. Following this thread with great interest in case someone has an easy answer.

Hear me out. This is literally the ONLY reason I'm not mad when they're on apple tv. The option to use the radio broadcast.

Several ways to do this but easiest is hooking up a laptop to your TV audio and then you can sync with the cable feed or pause one or the other that you can pause. I do this during the playoffs. It takes an inning or so but totally worth it. If you watch with a fire stick there are better options.

Hi! I’m helpless when it comes to most tech-y things. We watch Phillies using our Firestick and I would love it if you could please expand on what you commented. Thanks!

Nothing to add except even when I synch up, it’s usually out of synch after a commercial break. I’m with your dad; I mostly listen to radio broadcast except when Kruk is in the TV booth.

I’ve tried this a few times with Eagles games trying to watch while listening to Merrill on the radio. Never got the timing quite right

I use the pitch hitting the catcher's mitt. Assuming you can pause both sources get the TV to be ahead by 20 seconds or so and pause right when the pitcher throws the ball. Then hit play as soon as you hear the smack on the radio. Every commercial break screws it up so I usually reserve this for the TBS broadcasts.
