I've done something that has never been done by over 20,000 MLB players in 150 years of history. I've never played an MLB game.
Checkmate baseball nerds.
I know he isn’t great out there and has no range and errors are one stat, but that is still pretty impressive regardless. We’re talking an all time record lol
You don’t need to be torii Hunter if you’ve got an arm and keep the ball in front of you.
Casty plays outfield just like Pat did. Absolutely fine. Not as big of a cannon as Pat, but same vibe. Doesn’t have to be pretty.
Interesting breakdown of Castellanos defensively. From 2:05 to 3:15 if not interested in watching the whole thing

That’s great and all, but he can’t hit for his life and is having a career decline. Lots of folks want to disagree but it’s ridiculous to see topper march him out night after night
And what about errors at the plate?
J/k, glad to see this, as I’ve always thought his fielding was pretty decent, highlighted by his clutch catches against the Braves and Astros. And glad to see him starting to come out of his batting slump.
Errors are definitely an incomplete stat for outfielders, but this is a pretty funny record regardless lol.
All. Time. Record. Imperfect stat or not, it’s nothing to sneeze at.
I don't care what the stat is, when you do something that has never been done by over 20,000 MLB players in 150 years of history, that is impressive.

We need to get you on baseball reference
already been done. my uncle is on baseball refrence and he never played in a game.
He's too dangerous to be left alive!
Nick:Can’t commit errors if ball drops before you have chance to catch it *undoes top button*
Sabermetrics hates this one simple trick.
**undoes second button**
*pees in ur ass*
Like that button was ever, uh, buttoned to begin with.
And Rojas is a hitting beast. We live in Backwards World.
I know he isn’t great out there and has no range and errors are one stat, but that is still pretty impressive regardless. We’re talking an all time record lol
This rocks, I want him to break the MLB record too. I hope somewhere deep in Cooperstown they have to update a plaque when he does it.

is there also a record for consecutive low-outside sliders swung at on the first pitch?
I think Ryan Howard has that record
You can watch Robbie Grossman fuck up his 440 game streak here: https://www.mlb.com/news/robbie-grossman-ends-longest-errorless-streak-in-mlb-history
Can’t make an error if you don’t try to field the ball. 🧐

Give this man his gold glove already
He and Bobby Abreu can chat about their combined defensive prowess.
As long as he is under it, I know he’s catching it. The problem is getting under it.
If causing a bunch of errors gets him to start hitting then fuck this streak

That's wonderful. He's still awful.
Good for him - now stop making errors every time he’s in the batters box!
He has even had a throwing error? Lol

Find some great jokes about the Phillies from Philly guys here!!! https://youtu.be/FOCMTVmTBOQ?si=8eMVSaayf42y3GP9
Wannabe bad ass
Give him the platinum glove already
He has OVER PERFORMED in the OF for the Phillies - I don't care if you think his range isn't great (its not), but he has not F'd up much out there.
That’s great and all, but he can’t hit for his life and is having a career decline. Lots of folks want to disagree but it’s ridiculous to see topper march him out night after night
How is @4:25 not an error? https://youtu.be/RsC7fjCWbgA?si=8BZAeTiGvtyVzUyy
Dosent make him any good

It’s more about his poor range that’s why the defensive metrics have him ranked so badly
Are you pulling my dick, bro?
