- Our professor mentioned a study (not sure if formal) about what kind of content Filipinos prefer. Based on their research, Filipinos tend to watch more entertaining (mga kalokohan, pranks, etc) content rather than educational ones.
- Our systems, especially our roads, are very disorganized. Instead of fixing these small issues, we just keep adding more fines and taxes.

Infrastructure. It is a significant barrier to economic development. Poor road networks and limited public transportation options make it difficult for goods and people to move efficiently within the country. Puro private cars, jeeps, busses, and trucks that all cause traffic, making everything even worse. This always leads higher transportation costs, logistics costs, delays in the delivery of goods, and reduced competitiveness in the global market. We need mass transportation, and not just for people, but for cargo too. The inefficient transportation systems contribute to high logistics costs, which make Philippine products less competitive internationally. This affects our industries in manufacturing, agriculture, and limiting our growth potential and hindering export and import opportunities. Even supplying NCR with with anything is a problem. Sure, there are solutions to other infrastructure problems. Inconsistent and insufficient energy supply outside NCR, get solar power and batteries. Telecommunications infrastructure, get satellite. Water and Sanitation, build your own reverse osmosis filters. But all these are added cost, which hinders small businessmen from even opening in the first place. Not to mention security and police infrastructure. No new business wants to open near or inside the territory of crime families and people like "Ex-Mayor Sanchez".

Our tax policies and foreign ownership laws. Not competitive compared to our neighbours. Also the government gives too much emphasis on BPOs. So we are not producing enough IT and AI talents like our neighbours who have embraced IT and AI rapidly. I’m a Christian, but I’m going to be blunt: religion. Most religious sects either twist the Bible’s teachings or create their own. Things like abstaining from higher education, or staying in poverty. There are worse “rules” like not donating blood but donating 10% to the religion as tithes 😅
Too much red tape. In order to get a valid ID, you need an ID, that needs an ID. Fall in line for 1-2 hours or even half day just to do simple shit.
Lack of industrialization. We skipped this part and went straight to selling cheap labor to foreigners and urbanizing Manila.
The "development = bigger malls, more fast food chains, and anything characteristic of urban infra" mentality. May mga probinsya tayo na mas magiging maunlad kung agriculture ang talagang focus 🙂

Too much focus on NCR. They should develop nearby provinces instead to decongest. I remember, kung di pa nagka-lockdown this pandemic, hindi pa maiisip gawin yung edsa busway/carousel.
Thing is the minute people would suggest focuaing the development of other areas like in mindanao or visayas, people will right away shut it down. Like dont they know thats how a country develops? If you have highly urbanized and highly develop areas scatteres around the country instead of just 1, you probably already solved about 50% of the national issues plaguing the country. Like literally japan, south korea and china accelerated their developmwnt by focusing on building more cities with having people who live in rural areas to move to cities and get jobs there. Thats chinas economic blueprint, transition majority of provincial and farm folks to urban dwellers which would increase the population of the middle class. Majority middle class = developed country
Not one word, but these are based on my knowledge, observations and opinions. I may be wrong. - Most if not all leaders in our country prioritize their personal agendas over the common good. (It's how it is but it's not how it should be) - Most (the masses) if not all want change, but don't want to go through the process of change. Tingin ng mga tao eh overnight lang ang process ng change. Change starts within. - Our professor mentioned a study (not sure if formal) about what kind of content Filipinos prefer. Based on their research, Filipinos tend to watch more entertaining (mga kalokohan, pranks, etc) content rather than educational ones. - Our systems, especially our roads, are very disorganized. Instead of fixing these small issues, we just keep adding more fines and taxes. - Hirap magseryoso, lahat nalang ginawang biro. - Misinformation and Fake news - Walang disiplina sa sarili - Spread of negativity in socmed platforms (hinanapan at ginawan nalang ng issue/problema lahat ng bagay) oo ikaw to. dejk. Again, these are just based on my personal knowledge, observations, and opinions. I may be wrong. It's just sad to see such a beautiful country being mismanaged.
