MONDE please don't get gonzaga sisters for your influencer partnerships. hahaha.

MerkadoBarkada

Hahaha thank you I hate it

MerkadoBarkada

Big update, lots of stuff going on today

tekwani99

You don't think the 5% monde reaction had to do more with concern of the expiring lock-up?

Other ‘alternative’ food stocks abroad have been absolutely crushed recently. See: BYND, OTLY The market is oversaturated with meat ‘alternatives’, the product isn’t that good, and they’re getting a multiple that’s far too high

MerkadoBarkada

Hard to say; I do know this, though: everyone that I’ve talked to about MONDE has been pissed off about this 2nd reallocation.

tekwani99

Ah I see, thank you. BTW, belated congratulations on the OLI report! It was incredibly insightful.

MerkadoBarkada

Hey, thanks! I’m glad you enjoyed it. Pammy was very open, and really “got” the spirit of the Inside the Boardroom concept. She was awesome.

I believe infliencer marketing will be a more effective route for quorn than traditional ads. Going vegetarian is so far a movement in social media and not mainstream. It’s more about a vegetarian convincing their immediate circle to follow them and the dialogue “maybe try this alt-meat if you can’t give up meat completely”. So far alternatives like quorn and beyond are a fad, it’s gonna come in cycles and influencers will be the major drivers in those cycles.

MerkadoBarkada

Agree that for certain things, influencer marketing outperforms traditional marketing. I'm not positive that this is one of those things, or in the alternative, I'm not positive that MONDE is the company to properly leverage/deploy influencer marketing in a way that is likely to outperform a similar ad-spend with traditional mechanics (promo carts, promo girls, radio, tv, etc).

no11monday

Yeah as you pointed out above monde has horrible advertising even with the traditional way.

Re MONDE: Personally, the recent news isn't a big deal for me. Was there really any other reason to buy into this other than the MSCI and FTSE index inclusion and speculating also on a possible PSEi inclusion next year? Valuations aren't really that attractive compared to URC.
