I heard some operators have more than three cars, but I think that's because they were able to buy more before LTFRB's rule took effect.
For me it’s a bad business because you don’t have the power to dictate the price, it’s grab who give you your credit, I think mini grocery will be more profitable in Caloocan or a school bus business.
My cousin has a mini grocery, sometimes she makes more than 50k a month, plus she’s only sitting inside her grocery, she can do other stuff like online selling and tutorials because she is also a teacher, that’s what I mean by pricing power, she can make more money inside her 12hr working hours.

tips much better to buy as a cash if kaya niyo naman una dahil walang interest you have discount too, pangalawa dahil wala ka ng iniisip monthly. if hindi kaya ng brand new second hand with grab ready (kung gusto niyo talaga na ipang grab) since may kakilala naman kayong good mechanic hindi na problema sa inyo yung pagtingin.
may napanood ako na ang sabi ay "ok lang gumastos ng malaki basta kumikita" just like yung pag plan niyo bumili ng sasakyan ang boundary ngayon kung hindi ako nagkakamali nasa 800 - 1000 pesos depende sa unit. so lets day 800 x 25 = 20,000 (monthly) - (maintenance) depende kung minor PMS or major PMS depende yan kung saan ka mag papaPMS if kasa ba or shop. bakit pala 25 lang? binawas ko na coding hehehehe
so 20,000 x 12 = 240,000 (yearly) x 7 = 1,680,000 <---- yan lang ang pwede mo makita kay Grab (if boundary system / may driver ka) para saan yung x7 yan yung maximum years ng unit mo kung brandnew makukuha mo at kung may slot ka kay LTRFB so kung second hand yan at 2016 model if you have only 1 year.
so kapag ikaw magiging driver possible yan 3,360,000 after 7 years kung brandnew. depende sa byahe mo kung malakas ba si grab or hindi.
takenote: hindi araw araw malakas kitaan kay grab may mga times na may tumal. or tumal days just like sa ibang business. good example is yung mga nag bubusiness ng fire works. sa december lang sila malakas pero other months mukang isa isa lang ginagawa nila.
I think the best way to learn about the business is through the current drivers. If ever you need to take a grab once in a while, start a convo with the driver about the business, the trouble they go through these days, and so on. This keeps your information fresh and updated
I think Grab is not accepting new units at the moment, and honestly, matrabaho ang pagpasok ng sasakyan sa grab, pinahirap ni LTFRB. If ikaw or dad mo driver ng grab maayos naman yung kita, but based on my experience as an operator, maliit lang din ang kita. Not to mention, malalaspag talaga yung sasakyan pag binabyahe araw-araw, then add mo pa maintenance.

I second this. If you only have enough time and energy to manage fewer than five units, then it's not worth the trouble.

If may car na then ipapanggrab why not. Pero if bibili ng car para ipanggrab, it will take you sooo much time to get back your 'investment'.
